The CC Desktop App stopped working today (Mac)

I'm on a Mac running 10.8.5. I had a notification in my menu bar that there were CC updates, when I clicked on it the app opened for about a second then crashed. No error message. I have no Adobe processes running at all. I spent over an hour online with Adobe support which got me NOWHERE but angry and wanting to go back to CS3 so I don't have to deal with buggy crap.
Yes I have renamed all the OOBE folders. I have unistalled and reinstalled at least 3 times now. Tossed all the old App Manager folders.
Anyone know whats going on?

  • Apps stopped working today

    my apps stopped working today. When I click one it shows the loading screen then goes back to the home screen it was on. I also have been able to get the home screen to be stuck between pages often today.
    The only thing I did today was install bubble wrap and play it once then when I went to play pandora for the way to work it started happening.
    Turning off and on didn't fix it. Any ideas?

    Sometimes other apps does not release memory properly. So when you try running another app, iPhone terminates it. For some, turning off the iPhone (pressing the Sleep/Wake button) frees the memory, for some you need to reset the phone (pressing the Sleep/Wake and the Home button for 18 sec). What I do, when I use a lot of apps and after I'm done, I just turn off/on the phone. I also recommend reading the reviews before downloading an app - if there are comments like "it crashes my iPhone" or "It hangs", then I don't download it or wait until the developer fixes the issue.

    I purchased a subscription and now I'm trying to install Adobe CC applications on my computer.
    Unfortunately NOTHING is working the way it should…
    I have tried calling support but they haven't called me back anymore.
    Today I finally managed to get the Creative Cloud Desktop app installed, but it keeps giving me this message:
    "The Creative Cloud installation is no longer functioning, please uninstall and download again from…"
    I think I have tried all suggestions I found; uninstalling the app, repairing disk permissions, shutting down and starting up again, using the cleaner tool, renaming the OOBE folder in my Library… All steps in all order and with a restart and repairing disk permissions in between.
    Also I followed all steps mentioned here: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    The only thing I can think of that didn't go as described is the verification of the Cleaner Tool, also no log file is created.
    - When you see the message "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool completed successfully," click Quit and restart your computer. 
    - In a text editor, such as TextEdit, open /Users/[user name]/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log.
    I'm not sure what else there could be, is there anyone that has had similar problems and found a way around it?

    By the way, my MacBook Pro 13" Retina is running OSX 10.9.5 on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB or RAM. All CS6 apps have been working without many problems…

    Try to follow below steps
    Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
    It will open Go to folder window, type  exactly ~/Library and click on Go
    Then open Application Support > Adobe folders
    Trash AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.
    Now click on finder and hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad.
    This time type /Library and click on Go.
    Make sure to remove ~ symbol.
    Then open Application Support > Adobe folders.
    Trash AAMUpdater, Adobe Application manager, OOBE folders.
    Now Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + U keys on your keypad.
    It will open utilities folder.
    Trash Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folders
    Download and Run CC cleaner tool from below link

  • WVC54GCA Firmware Upgrade Desktop App Stopped Working

    Hello,
    I recently updated the firmware on 2 of my 3 WVC54GCA cameras to the latest version "v1.1.00 build 02".  The cameras flashed fine and still have network connectivity and everyting appears fine.  The desktop "Internet Home Monitoring Camera" sofware has stopped working for those two cameras.  The third camera still works great!
    The software detects the cameras and lets me put in the necessary settings; however only shows a black video window.  After going through the setup they cameas are listed in the camera status window, but the little view eye is not "checked" green.

    Resetting to factory defaults and doing a power cycle did work.  Thank you for the tip.  It was a little bit of work to re-configure everything, but it was worth it in the end. 
    I had also tried installing the LinkSys One Surveillance Utility as it seems to have a bit more functionality than the Home Camera Monitoring Utility app; however that didn't work with either firmware version so I am back to the Home Camera Monitoring desktop app that they came with.

    Hi, can anyone help, I have only just got the iphone 4s and after 2 weeks of no trouble my apps stopped working today, i have tried the restart etc and am now running a restore, i am not overly technical so am doing what friends have suggested, but does anyone know why this is happening? if i touch an app it looks like its going to load but then straight away goes back to the home screen. any help would be appreciated.

    i tried that too and deleted all the recent ones, i then downloaded a new one which oddly fixed the problem for a while but now the problem has returned, deleted the app i downloaded but nothing works again now.

    Does PSE 13 solves the problem? I just want to be sure that if I buy the new version it is going to work or if I am going to lose another US$ 99 on a piece of software that requires more "MAC OS X" expertise than I have.

          I hard reset the N8 with the code *#7370# but after that the Social network apps stopped working. Facebook could not be connected even when I'm entering the correct user id and password.

    i use the same account for ovi store And as well as for ovi music . . And they are working . . I understand about the the alternative no offences but is the default application gonna be dead from now on for me ? Nokia should test something before they put it for people to use . . Dont know till when i have to wait for it to get sorted out . . is there anyone from Nokia team Who can tell me what is to be done with this problem . .

    Today suddenly my apps stopped working. When i would press them it would come up for a few secs and then go back to the home page. So i deleted all my apps on my ipod and figured i can dl again from my itunes. When i tried syncing the apps i got the msg: Some apps(all of them) were not synced because this computer is not authorized blah blah. I can Sync my songs/photos/vids fine. Can anyone help?

    From the message you need to authorize the computer for the account that purchased the apps.  See:

    ALso make sure the iPod is also sign into that account.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software - Stops working at the end of synchronization

    During synchronization, the same handful of calendar conflicts come up.  After clearing them, and at the very end of synchronization, I get a pop up that "Desktop Software stopped working"...info fades out and the only option is to hit a CLOSE button which shuts down the software. 
    I no longer receive the synchronization report and although most data does sync, I am trying to determine the cause of this.
    This is the only forum I can find.  I do not see a Blackberry support anywhere...

    Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts.

    Booked into the Genius Bar at the Apple store in the Manchester Arnedale shopping centre and arrived on time today.
    The staff asked if I had backed it up, which I responded that I had. I also explained that I had been on the forums and followed some of the advice.
    My iphone 5 was only 7 months old and still under warranty, so I should have expected excellent service, and I got it. The phone was repaired by the store and returned to me approximately 30 minutes earlier.
    Happy days.
