The checkbox (Install or remove Windows 7) is disabled in bootcamp.

Hi, I want to get rid of windows that was installed using bootcamp on my early 2011 macbook pro but the checkbox (install or remove windows 7) is disabled in bootcamp. I tried to format the drive using disk utility but failed, It says "couldn't modify partition map". What can I do to remove windows 7 and unite all the data in my HDD into one single partition?

2 things, the option is greyed out because (1) 1st 2 items are unchecked or (2) the USB containing Windows and the drivers is not detected.
The newer 2013 machines seem to be very picky about the Windows install, as keys that worked on 2012 machines would no longer work on the 2013s. If you want a painless install, do this
DL the correct W7 ISO from here http://techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/ - SP1 ISOs
Then insert your USB and select all 3 options. The program will copy this new ISO to your USB.
Only use a USB2 (not USB3) drive

    Hi, I am trying to install Windows on my MacBook Pro with bootcamp. • How to install Windows on MAC? (Can't see the check box "Install or remove Windows 7 or later version" on Boot Camp Assistant)

    I want to install Windows 7 on my MBP mid 2012 but in Boot Camp does not appear the check box: "Install or remove Windows 7 or later version". I continued with making the USB bootable with Windows 7 but then when I restart and boot with the USB I still can't install Windows because then I receive an error: ""Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk is of GPT partition style."
    From OS with Boot Camp I didn't manage to make a partition for Windows instead I made one with Disk Utility (formated FAT).
    After booting from USB that partition was also formated into NTFS necessary for Windows. Still the same error.
    Any idea how to install Windows on my MAC?

  • Will the ex emulator work in windows 7(32bit) on a bootcamp iMac?

    I have an intel iMac (Snow Leapard) running Windows 7 (32bit) using the bootcamp partition.
    Microsoft has an XP emulator that will run on Windows 7.
    My concern are the drivers for the emulator.
    Bootcamp has translation drivers that allow a Windows OS to run using Mac drivers.
    Has anyone done this?
    Run the xp emulator on a Windows 7 (32bit) iMac using bootcamp?

    of you by emulator mean virtual machine then virtual machines are virtual so they don't have direct hardware access and therefore does not require drivers provided by the user

  • Question about installing and removing Windows on Mac OS X

    Forgive me for asking this because the answer is probably extremely simple, but I just wanted to make sure.
    If I use Boot Camp to install windows XP or 7 onto my Mac (OS X), then if I choose to remove windows and repartition my mac into one hard drive will it be the same as if I had not installed windows at all? Will I be losing any space on my computer once Windows is removed? Thanks! I'm still new to macs....and computers for the most part ha....

  • Error attempting to read from the source install database: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\e2120a.msi?

    I have had itunes before but now its not working. I've tried many times to fix this problem but i none work. I also got a error 7 (Windows error 999) but now not anymore hopefully. I really need help on this problem. (If this helps, Before i was updating itunes and my computer froze so i turn it off and that was when everything went crazy).

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • How to remove windows 7?

    How do I completely remove Windows 7 from my Mac?
    I've tried Boot Camp Assistant but I'm not able to select "Install or remove Windows 7 or later version". I tried erasing Boot Camp from Disk Utility but I've no idea what formal I should choose?

    The correct way to remove a Boot Camp partion is to use Boot Camp Assistant.Now that you have used the incorrect way, Disk Utility, you now have to erase and reformat your hard drive. Then reinstall OSX.

  • How can i remove windows 7 and reinstall a fresh copy of windows 7

    how can i remove windows 7 and reinstall a fresh copy of windows 7

    Assuming you installed Windows in a Boot Camp partition, start up Boot Camp Assistant and select the menu item to remove Windows and return the drive to a single partition. Then run Boot Camp Assistant and select the menu item to install Windows 7.

  • Trouble removing Windows via BootCamp

    Hello,
    I've installed windwos about a year ago on my Macbook Pro via BootCamp.
    Now I wish to delete it and I feagured out that the only way to do it is also via BootCamp.
    When I open BootCamp there is only one option available: "Download the latest Apple software fro Windows".
    Below that there is an options that says: "Install or remove Windows 7" but I can't choose it for some reason.
    I also can't (and shouln't) delete the windows partition with Disk Utility. I can easily access my BootCamp partition via Finder but it seems as if Boot Camp Utility doesn't realize that I've already installed Windows.
    Is it because I don't have the Windows installation?
    Thanks for the help

    If the delete windows button is grayed out, the only option I know is backup your OSX files and clean install OSX either via USB or internet recovery (command + R). Before you install, use the disk utility option to fully erase your physical drive.

  • What is an 'SPL-2.dmg' file and how can I get it (the driver) installed?

    Please advise."
    *The reply from Samsung:*
    Thank you for contacting us regarding your SCX-4200 and the recent issue you have experienced.
    It is difficult to say why this error may have occurred, it may be that the file has been corrupted during transfer. You should try deleting this file again and re-downloading it or possibly even try downloading the file from an alternate location such as below -
    http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=uk&C ttFileID=2047002&CDCttType=DR&ModelType=N&ModelName=SCX-4200&VPath=DR/200810/200 81028145509765/SPL2.dmg
    Should you wish to discuss this issue further, please feel free to call our IT Helpdesk on 0845 726 7864 quoting your reference number."
    *Having tried all that, I did phone them, only to be fobbed off, +'Try re-installing from the CD you got with your printer. If that doesn't work it must be their ([Apple's]) problem.'+*
    My MacBook is trying to mount it, according to right-click 'Get Info', using DiscImageMounter, which only returns the error message (above), 'The following disc images failed to mount - image: SPL2.dmg; reason: not recognised.' Disc Utility doesn't tell me much more. What should I do with it?
    My printer (Samsung SCX-4200) clicks and warms up when it's sent a command to print, but that's the end of it - it won't do anything else, which is why I went looking for the driver in the first place. Note the Samsung Download Centre site at _http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/download/supportDownDetail.do?group=printsolut ions&type=printsolutions&subtype=monomultifunctionproducts&modelnm=SCX-4200&disp_nm=SCX-4200&language=&cate_type=all&mType=DR&dType=D&vType=L&ct tID=2047002&prd_ia_cd=06010300 says this driver was updated/uploaded 28/10/2008, but I can't get the **** thing to install. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    Probably also worth noting: the printer works fine with Windows on my MacBook's BootCamp partition.

  • Error installing windows 7 on partition with Bootcamp.

    I'm having issues when I try and istall Windows 7 using bootcamp on my Macbook Pro 15' Retina Late-2013.
    I am able to create the USB Key with Windows 64-bit and Support files from apple with no issues. For this, I'm using a ScanDisk Extreme 32Gb USB 3.0.
    So after creating the Key/Install Drive for Windows and the computer boots using the Flashdrive for installing windows, I get until the following step:
    I am able to "Format" the Bootcamp partition (Parition 4) but when I try and select the partition for installing Windows, I get this:
    I tried doing this mutiple times, earasing the bootcamp installation and starting over, re-downloading the files. I even tried to use an other Win7 ISO files from before Win7 SP1 but with no luck. I did also try to "Delete" the partition and then create a "New" partition from the unallocated space but that didn't work.
    Any advice?

    So, I went ahead and contaced apple.
    It was not a pleasent experiance, I kept being bounced around diffrent support people; each time having to re-explain my problem, While they where all pretty friendly and somewhat helpful, they couldn't help me. I was therefore promoted to a "Senior Advisor", I rejoiced at the idea of this. After explaining my problem in depth and going throught everything I had done, she suggested I check out this other article posted on the Support Forums.
    She sent me to this: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23756557#23756557
    Which sends you to this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5488789?tstart=0
    However, after following the somewhat unclear instructions on those discussions, I was completly unable to start up my bootcamp; I kept getting "Application has Crashed".
    And here I am, back to square one.

  • Show the checkbox as selected by selecting the row.

    Hi friends,
    I have a table. It is possible to select multiple rows, after selecting rows, I get the selected
    rows in this table from the context. Now my question is, how can i cause that by selecting a row
    the checkbox on this row will be also selected (shown as checked)?
    So this is the coding in the eventhandlermethod on onselect property of the table:
    METHOD onactionmark_cb .
      DATA lo_nd_table_data TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
      DATA lo_el_table_data TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
      DATA ls_table_data TYPE wd_this->element_table_data.
      DATA lt_table_data TYPE wd_this->elements_table_data.
      DATA lt_set TYPE wdr_context_element_set.
    DATA lv_idx TYPE i.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <TABLE_DATA> via lead selection
      lo_nd_table_data = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_table_data ).
    This would now contain the references of all the selected rows
      CALL METHOD lo_nd_table_data->get_selected_elements
        RECEIVING
          set = lt_set.
      LOOP AT lt_set INTO lo_el_table_data.
        " Use the references to get the exact row data
        CALL METHOD lo_el_table_data->get_static_attributes
          IMPORTING
            static_attributes = ls_table_data.
        APPEND ls_table_data TO lt_table_data.
        CLEAR ls_table_data.
      ENDLOOP.
    mark/shhow the checkboxes checkd in the selected rows
    ENDMETHOD.
    Thank you for any help

    Hi Haleh,
    I tried replicating your requirement and have written below the exact working code for the same. I will try to explain you my component so that you can get to understand its functionality. I have 2 tables & 1 input field in my view. The user enters a customer number in the input field and presses on a button. This leads to the corresponding sales orders filled into the 1st table ui element. The user then selects multiple rows from this table and presses on a toolbar button to copy these selected rows to the 2nd table. Within the same event I also set the checkbox for the rows selected by the user in the 1st tables row to selected. Hope that this would meet your requirement. On pressing the button the system would check if the checkbox is enabled & then mark the selected rows checkboxes as selected and would also copy the rows to the 2nd table. If the checkbox is disabled then the system would neither set it as checked nor copy it to the 2nd table. The rest of the checkboxes for the rows which weren't selected by the user remain as unchecked.
    METHOD onactioncopy_selected_rows .
      DATA:  wd_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
             ls_node1 TYPE ig_componentcontroller=>element_node1,
             lt_node1 TYPE ig_componentcontroller=>elements_node1,
             wa_temp  TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
             lt_temp  TYPE wdr_context_element_set.
      wd_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE1' ).
      " Get all the context element information for the rows selected by the user
      CALL METHOD wd_node->get_selected_elements
        RECEIVING
          set = lt_temp.
      " Just get the reference of the 2nd table to which you want to copy selected rows
      wd_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE2' ).
      LOOP AT lt_temp INTO wa_temp.
        CALL METHOD wa_temp->get_static_attributes
          IMPORTING
            static_attributes = ls_node1.
        " Check if the checkbox is disabled/enabled. The "enabled" property of the checkbox
        " is bound to the boolean context attribute by name ENABLED
        IF ls_node1-enabled EQ abap_true.
          wa_temp->set_attribute( EXPORTING name  = 'CHECKBOX'
                                            value = abap_true ).
          APPEND ls_node1 TO lt_node1.
          CLEAR ls_node1.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
      " Bind the rows selected by the user to the 2nd table ui element
      wd_node->bind_table( new_items = lt_node1 ).
    ENDMETHOD.
    I have checked your code where you say like:
    IF elem_test->is_selected( ) = abap_true AND stru_test-enabled = abap_false.
    You had earlier fetched the entire elements list using the get_elements method of if_wd_context_node & then checking each 1 of them individually to determine whether it was selected or not using the method id_selected. You can directly get only the elements which were selected by the user by using the method get_selected_elements instead. So now you will only have to check whether the checkbox field in that particular row is disabled/enabled. You now don't have to combine 2 conditions using AND & check them within the loop.
    Regards,
    Uday

  • How to unistall windows 7 from macbook air bootcamp?

    Dear all,
    I'm from new macbook user. how can i remove windows 7 from macbook air bootcamp? After removing windows 7, can i use free partition (windows 7 bootcamp) from Mac OS?

    In OSX use the BootCamp Assistant again to revert the partitioning back to one single OSX-volume.
    That deletes the Windows partition and reassigns the used diskspace back to OSX.
