The command key - nothing happens. how can i check if it works (new to mac)

i have macbook pro 2013
and i am trying to figure out the command key and its use (next to space bar ) left hand side
when i press it nothing happens?
and also is there a delete key on the keyboard that above the return key rigth? and that doesnt seem to work either if i am on a file and press that arrow (left)
can anyone tell me if there is a problem ? or is there something i can try to see if it works? i have checked the keyboard mappings etc and its fine and set to default..

The command key is used in combination with other keys to do commands in apps as well as the Finder
The easiest way to tell if your command and Delete keys work is to highlight a file that you want to move to the Trash. Hold down the Command key and then hit the Delete key. The file should move to the trash.

Did you try to close and restart Firefox?
Did you try to reboot the computer?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

When i press the i key with the shift key nothing happens. I can get a capital i only by pressing the cap lock key whats wrong.

When i press the i key with the shift key nothing happens. the only way I can get a capital i is by using the caps lock key what is going on. Also from time to time my mouse acts like someone is sitting on it. this stops when i press the command key. i am using the lateist wireless mouse and keypad.

does it only happen with the i key?
if it doesnt then try presing shift first then i (or any key) second instead of at the same time.
if it only happens with the i key then what i would do is take the keyboard and mouse to an apple store and ask them if they will hook it up on their computer to see if it is the keyboard or computer.

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

Can your iPad be upgraded to iOS 7? If so, what are you doing that isn't working?

You need a minimum of 10GB of free space for normal operations
You need to address that first - the best soution may be to get an external drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag your iPhoto library to it - depress the option key and launch iPhoto and point to that library
Hopefully that will let you get started - there may be additional repairs needed

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Are you getting activation errors? As Ned stated , it is easier to troubleshoot if we have the specific type of error and error detail that you are getting.

The "C" key will work if there is a bootable volume on a disk in the optical drive. Are you running OSX? Jaguar, Panther, Tiger? On OSX (UNIX) you can use the command "S" (⌘-S) at start up to go to the root and do a file system check: Type; fsck -f -y at the prompt when it appears then press Return; let the root check for problems and repair. To exit after the test type; reboot and press Return

I used to be able to click on + next to opened "window"?tab and a new window/ tab would open, now nothing happens. I have tried clicking on file and opening a new tab that way but still nothing happens.
