The computer "239.255.255.250" is attempting to access Firefox.app on your computer. Do you want to allow this connection?
What is this for? And if it is innocuous, can I just say allow? Just started in last 2 weeks (end of Feb 2015). It is bugging the heck out of me. Thanks.
many, many, many thanks!!!

I could previously open my itunes program on my computer and sync with ipad, ipod and iphone but no longer. When I select itunes a dialogue box opens with question - "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer" When I select YES, it just shuts down. I have removed and reinstalled itunes. have checked firewall and spent hours trying to fix. Please help.
A possible cause of this error is that Firefox is set to run as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\). -
Question

Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory. -
Attempting to access Firefox on my remote computer
I'm accessing my work computer remotely from home. I launch Firefox and I can see that it opens but then it disappears. I'm not sure where it is going. I can't seem to get it back. This is the first time that this happens meaning that in the past, I have been able to use Firefox without any issues when using my work computer from home. This does not occur with Chrome or IE and the first time it occurs with Firefox. I have two monitors at work and only one at home. I tried loading Firefox in Safe mode but the same thing occurs (i.e. it launches and then disappears). My second monitor at work seems to be turned off (verified by a colleague). Using Windows 7 at home and at work.
A remote desktop connection once an OpenVPN connection is established. Funny thing is that Firefox now displays correctly. After having tried opening and closing Firefox several times and launching in Safe mode, I clicked an internet link in an email and lo and behold, Firefox finally displayed. With all of my previous tabs and the new tabs that I had tried to launch it with. Not sure why it did not display correctly originally or the first 10 times that I tried launching it.

Everytime I open itunes it says do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer
It opens but it's annoying as **** it never did it when I when I first bought it
I had the same problem, tried lots of things but this easy solution worked.
Go to the file location where Itunes is located (I had a shortcut on my desktop and just right clicked, went to properties and hit "open file location")
Once at Itunes file I right clicked again and hit "create shortcut"
It put a new shortcut on my desktop, I deleted the old one and the problem stopped.
Hope this helps -
Every time I attempt to connect to the internet I get a dialogue box that asks do you want to allow this programme to make changes? The publisher is Mozilla, and it also tells me that it relates to Firefox software updater. Never had this until about two hours ago! Also seemed to relate to a crash of McAffee, which happened at around the same time.. Don't know much about computers, but what I do know is that this has only just started... Help...???

I click on Firefox and it says that Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few minutes. Then I get "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." this cycle never ends. Do I need to deinstall Firefox and re-install? If I do that, do i lose all of my bookmarks, etc?
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder:
*C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
*(%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)
*C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates
*Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
*Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer. Do not remove personal data when uninstalling.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

I am having a problem when I plug my iPod into my macbook. When I plug the cable into my mac I get the following message - "Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, your USB device has been disabled." CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
The rest of the message in the pop up window says "To prevent damaging your computer, the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices may have also been disabled. When you disconnect the device drawing too much power, your other USB devices will be enabled again."

i plugged in my ipod and now i get the error message: Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, one or more of your USB devices have been disabled" - i have a MAcBook pro and now my USB ports do not work - can anyone help me ???
Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

I am unable to get Lightroom Mobile to work on my home network. The Ipad says "There are no collections to sync, enable lightroom mobile on your computer", but it is enabled. I got it to work one time on another network but not at home where I use Lightroom.
Hi,
could you please give us some info on what kind of network you have?
Can other application communicate with the web?
Thanks,
