The computer starts crashing all the time after updating the MOBO drivers.
Hi, when I used "MSI Live update" to update my MOBO drivers to the latest. After I've rebooted the computer, it's begins to do some wierd stuff.
1) It happens that my computer sometimes just crash, I can't do anything from my keyboard or mouse. And everyting stops. I have to push the reboot button the make it "live" again.
2) Sometimes it reboot without any warning, I dont know why, and don't know how to fix it.
3) Can't find my floppystation, I can see it in driver managment, but not on the "my computer" window. When I write down "A:\" It says it can't find the file.
All this wierd stuff happend when I installed new drivers to my MOBO (The drivers are from MSI). I whanted to install the deafult drivers from the cd-rom, but I can't find it, I think I've lost it! :(

I've found my floppystation now after clearing the cmos.
You could install these from nvidia
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_5.10
During installation, de-select the IDE driver as this maybe causing your problems. Also de-select the sound drivers.

I can now receive new mails at both domains on my server and all of the emails received when the server was "down" are starting to trickle through.

There's no good way to do it. But you don't need to. iOS 7 automatically handles whether an application takes up memory or has files open. There's no real advantage to you ever closing an application yourself.

Solaris 10, amd64, JVM crash at short time after startup
Hi All,
I have an application which allocate 10G of memory for his Heap, run on 4 dual core amd64 CPUs, 16G RAM machine and crash in 98% of the cases at short time after startup. This is a customer machine.
I have a similar machine for tests with only 2 dual core amd64 CPU and 12G RAM and I don't experience any crashes running application with similar configuration, similar version of JDK and similar input data.
I have tried with different GC algorithms, but we obtain crashes sonner or later. I rare cases when application manage to start seems that CMS offer the greatest performance.
There is a bug in JVM? Knows anybody an workaround for this?

My application which allocates 50G of memory for his Heap, runs on 8 quad core amd64 CPUs, 64G RAM machine and crash in 98% of the cases at short time after startup.
If I run my application on a different machine, for example a Sun Fire 280R with 2 CPUs UltraSPARC-III+ 1.2Ghz 8MB, there are no crashes.
I think the problem is related to the AMD 64 bits CPU architecture.
I filed a bug to the Sun Bug DB with ID 1415527, but it hasn't been published yet.
I cannot understand why, since it seems to be a problem common also to other users.

App crashs with white screen after update to 10.9.4
I´m creating an application called set.a.light 3D with Unity 3D and some clients have problems after updating their os to 10.9.4. I have not much info. So here is what i have collected so far:
* all have mac book pro retina
* all have backups with old os versions, where it is running
* all have logs like this: kernel: process set.a.light 3D S[1039] caught causing excessive wakeups. EXC_RESOURCE supressed due to audio playback
* one send me: ERROR: [com.apple.audio.IOThread.client] AUHAL.cpp:2470: AUIOProc: AUHAL::AUIOProc: mono buffer too small (1024 > 512)

You're title says the app is crashing. Do you have the crash dumps?
Getting support is definitely one of the drawbacks to using 3rd party code, you will probably have to ask the Unity developers or community.

All Presets gone after Update from 3.4.1 to 3.5
Just updated LR 3.4.1 on a Man to 3.5. After I put the LR.app inti the App-Folder and started LR all of my presets were deleted.
They were saved in the /user/library/application support/etc. folder before and now they're gone (unfortunately I didn't saved my presets within the catalog)
I'm very annoyed about this because I have changed 12 export presets some days ago and haven't ran time machine after it.
I wasn't aware, that an update LR will kill my presets. Is there any way to get them back?

StefanIn your OS find and look into the folder where your presets were stored previously. If you can still see them you're in luck. Just copy them to the new LR Presets folder.
Otherwise you're OOL. You know the remedy for this already: store your presets with the catalog.

After updating yesterday I clicked on iTunes and all my music is gone. No playlist. This happened a few weeks ago while using the old version. I took the laptop into the Geeks and they were able to find my music on my backup drive. They said they could not help me today because of the new update. I don't understand why this keeps happening. I have had iTunes for a while now and never had a proble.
You know, I had the same exact problem. Updated my phone to 4.2 and left the house went to play music and it was all gone!!! I was so upset! Turned it off and on, Reset it, re-synced, and still the same problem. All the music showed up while synced but not with iPhone alone. Until!!! While it was synced I played a couple of the songs that appeared to be still in my iphone library. I then gave up thinking i would just have to restore to factory settings and just start over. but one last try and shock of all shocks my music reappeared! All files vanished after update!!!!
i erased all my contents after syncing my phone, then updated it and went to sync it again and all my stuff (more importantly hundreds of songs) have vanished!!!! And its saying my brothers iphone on the computer when its connected instead of mines!!!!! What do i do apart from cry? I cloud has somehow decided to forget most of me too!!!!

Has anyone experienced Logic Pro X's Logic folder corruption after update onto 10.0.6 (released 9.1.2014)? All my projects were disappeared from the folder and cannot find them anywhere with disc recovery tools, naturally no backups for the projects and set up Time Machine few days after 10.0.6 update (quite nice!) and did not touch Logic for month or so and now all projects gone!
I would appreciate any help to get those recovered and yes the importance of backupping the projects is now finally understood by the hard way.
