The countdown timers at File Storage Locker sites (fileserve, bitshare, freakshare, etc) will no longer countdown if not the active page (Since upgrading to firefox 5.0). How do make it countdown when not the active page?
Since upgrading to firefox 5.0, countdown timers at the various file locker sites will no longer countdown when the page is not the active page. I am sure it is not a site-side change as ALL the sites countdown timers freeze when not the active page. This has only happened since the upgrade.

In mean time you can try opening those links in a new window instead of a new tab.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0.1 the "attach files" function in my Yahoo Mail account no longer functions. When I click the "attach files" button nothing happens - nothing. No file selection box opens, no error message appears, no pinwheel of death, nothing.
The "attach files" button is no longer 'hot' in FF 4.0.1 either = the "little hand" icon does not appear when I scroll over it. Other action buttons are still 'hot' ("attachments", "emoticons", "format", "hide bcc"etc.) - just not the "attach files" button.
The Yahoo Mail "attach files" function still works when I use my Safari browser, however. So, it appears to be a FF4.0.1 issue.

Since upgrading to Firefox 27.0 some webpages will not load when I click on them. It gives me a message saying that Firefox can't find the server. I have to click the link several time before it will load and sometimes when they do load it does not show the page right. It is like the HTML is messed up or something. I have tried everything I can think of. I started in safe mode, still did it., I removed add-ons, still did it., I reset Firefox and still did it., I completely uninstalled Firefox and re-installed Firefox and it still does it. I have tried Malware Bytes Anti-Malware scans and Avast boot-time scans and found no malware or viruses. I have found that those websites open the first time with no problems on my IE9 and they used to do so in Firefox 26.0. I'm at my wit's end. The website links are in my bookmarks and are used all the time so they are trusted and my avast is set to allow them. They range from news websites to gun websites and everything I have read says that Mozilla does not filter those unless something has changed recently.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0 a couple of days ago, every time I open or reload a page the whole browser freezes. At first I thought it might be down to compatibilty issues with other programmes open at the time, but as the problem has persisted when those programmes aren't open I'm starting to think it's the browser itself and it's getting extremely frustrating having everything freeze every time I want to change a page.
My other problem is twofold: with Youtube nothing plays at all because the toolbar with the play/pause option simply isn't there and I am unable to access the upload function on Photobucket because likewise it won't appear. I'm assuming this has something to do with Flash but have no idea how to fix it.
I've triedhello, often such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

I have a <form> in a JSP file that has another JSP file as an action.
I have main.jsp that has <form> with action.jsp file as an action.
Now when I submit the <form>, request forwarded to action.jsp and it will take the action. But this file is taking so long, hence user refresh the page again and again, hence duplicate request processing is occuring.
I want to prevent this. -

No problems with other web pages e.g. BBC, Amazon, Wikipedia...

Hi I Run Windows 7. Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0 I am unable to "clear history" and get the message "QuickTime failed to initialize". I can delete history when in safe mode with plug-ins disabled. Re-installing quick time fails to resolve the issue. Any ideas or suggestions?

Since upgrading to Firefox 6.0, some copy is appearing in a script font that is really difficult to read. I first noticed it in the body of an email I received, but then saw it on some web sites I was visiting. It also appears when I am typing.
I am on a Mac.Also, here is what I've done so far to try and troubleshoot it...
I checked other browsers on my computer and it's not happening, I went through and checked for corrupt fonts on my computer, I double checked my font settings in Firefox prefs, I did a google search and attempted all the things I saw listed as potential fixes and nothing is working. -
Firefox will no longer open completely. My home page appears, but I can't do anything with it--can't use "Help," can't search the Web, can't even use "Sign Out." I have to close it entirely to get out of it. A box comes up and says "Yahoo Mail is loading especially slowly" and tells me my computer speed is slow. But this is the same computer I've always used for Firefox, and Yahoo comes up quickly and completey through Internet Explorer (which is how I'm sending this message). Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.
You can also try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.

I 've a form in the parent page with many form elements.
I've 2 radio buttons with values "Yes" and "No". I am opening a modal popup when clicked on "Yes" radio button. The modal popup is opening fine.
But when I click "Yes", it' s not selected. After modal popup is closed, when I return to parent page, the option "Yes" is still not selected.
How to make it selected when clicked and open popup?Perhaps try moving the application to your preferred desktop and then right-click it's dock icon > options > Assign to This Desktop.
