The curious incident of iMovie 11 and one very unhappy customer.

is about the problems I'm currently experiencing with iMovie.  It opens, but is invisible.  I wont repost the screenshots, but in the previous post I attached screenshots that confirmed that iMovie 11 has NOT crashed upon opening and doesn't seem to have descended into "Not Responding" purgatory.  But it's just invisible, the main iMovie window does not show.  The menu bar appears and I can click through that and click on various options, I can bring up the iMovie preferences window, I can bring up the About iMovie splash screen but nothing can make the main application window appear and it just remains in that state until I Cmd+Q out of it.  NONE of the other iLife apps are affected, in fact none of my other apps are affected and my system does not appear to have any obvious signs of any errors elsewhere.
A summary of the steps I've taken so far to try and remedy this:
Reinstall iMovie
Reinstall iLife as a whole
Reinstall OS X (Erase and install, fresh start)
Update iMove, iLife, OS X
Trash plists relating to iLife and iMove
Trash iPhoto and Aperture library and try relaunching iMovie
Moved previous projects out of the iMovie projects folder
Turned Spaces off
Repaired permissions
Verify disk
...a heap of other fixes I've read on forums here and there
Nothing has worked, not even fresh reinstalls of OS X.
I am running 10.6.7 on a MacBook7,1 and this problem just appeared one day, I've used iMovie twice before without any problems.
I've just tried iMovie 7, 8 and 9 (all legitimately acquired before anyone asks) and have discovered that they ALL have the same problem. 
If anyone has ANY ideas, I'm all ears.  At this stage I'll even hang some moss from a north facing tree and carry out occult druidic rituals if it would get iMovie to work again.
Oh, and these two items pop up repeatedly in console whilst iMovie is "running".

I found this in iMovie Help about using a second display. I don't have one, so I cannot test.
Connect a second display to your computer.
For instructions about how to connect a second display, choose Help > Mac Help and enter “connecting multiple displays” in the search field. To view the Help menu, click your desktop so that the “Finder” is active (you’ll see the word Finder in the upper-left corner of your screen), and then click Help in the light gray bar at the top of your screen.
Make sure Advanced Tools are turned on in iMovie preferences.
In iMovie, choose Window > “Viewer on Other Display.”The Window menu appears in a light gray bar across the top of your computer screen.
