The Database Connection could not be found

Hi guys,
we did a complete new installation of EPM 11.1.2.1 for a testing environment.
Did the installation 1-1 to our production system.
But on TEST we have the problem to create database connections:
Tools > Database Connection Manager > New Database Connection > Fails:
8001: The Database Connection could not be found: -15da10bd_1378bcfb29f_-7d2c
Any ideas?
I am Admin and have all privileges.
The problem exists for Essbase connections and HFM, too.

Are you using a NAS share for storing reporting and analysis files? I mean the RM1 folder?

Workspace Error 8001: The Database Connection could not be found

We had to reboot all our windows servers recently and since then all the database connections in the database base manager in workspace are gone.
I can see all the existing reports but cannot use any of them as I dont have any connections.
Also I cannot create any new connections
I get the error 8001: The Database Connection could not be found: 13cbd63_12b5e2a8b73_-7f8f when I try to create a new connection.
Not sure what the problem is.

Hi Pat,
It loks like your Biplus relational DB is corrupted, try with those steps:
1. De-register BI+ from Shared Services (Config Utility->Hyperion Reporting and Analysis > Deregister from Shared Services)
2. Configure against the backup database (Drop and recreate tables option).
3. Re-register BI+ with Shared Services.
4. Re-deploy BI+.
5. Test Workspace and add new connections.

Recieving error 8001: Database connection could not be found

In hyperion reports 11.1.1.3 I am trying to create a new report. I created a new connection and after i created a new grid I wanted to see what is looks like. when I launched it. I recieved the error 8001: The database could not be found 8c5a0a4_13c44c8A227_-7d10 I tried other connections I recieved the same error. Just to make sure I tested an extising report and it worked fine. Can some one please tell me what I am missing and what do i need to do to get this wo work. Any help is appreciated

I logged out of Hyperion reports and logged back into the application and I had a connection with no issues

SQL SERVER - Error while executing SSIS package on specific environment : Connection manager - The specified module could not be found

I have deployed my SSIS packages on SQL 2008 server.
I have a .bat file which will invoke these packages and also the bat file is placed in the server where the SSIS packages are deployed.
Scenario 1:
I double clicked on the bat file to invoke the SSIS packages and ; this executed successfully
Scenario 2:
I have used the IBM Tivoli work scheduler(TWS) to invoke the bat file which in tern will invoke the ssis packges;
but when i do this i am getting the below error
Code: 0x8007007E
Source: SSIS_Master_Event_Data_Transfer Connection manager "Config DB"
Description: The specified module could not be found.
Config BD is a connection manager which will get the connection string from the config file of the SSIS package.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Check you TWS jobmanrc.cmd configuration file. You may need to add a PATH environment variable in that file that includes your SQL Server file locations. When TWS jobs are executed, they may not be executing with the same
PATH variable as when you execute the SSIS outside of TWS.

No, its been never jail break this happens sometimes but sometimes it doesnt. And he is not in the U.S.A, and is using his iphone in another country. Can it be because of a modem or bad internet?

In our R12.1.3 EBS, on RHEL 5.5, 64-bit, we are getting this error -

However, neither the db is down nor the APPS password is wrong. I am able to connect from sqlplus from application tier. And also from the 10.1.3 home. I have checked similar threads here but none helped. Raised an SR yesterday but that too hasn't helped yet.
Any ideas?

I have installed 11gR2 grid with ASM and restored/recoverd a 11gR1 database. The 1st node is up using asm but when I check with svrctl I get errors :

I have read that it's something to do with SCAN and the remote listeners.

This error means database is not registered in OCR
If the database was not registered in the OCR, after restoring the database you must manually add the database in the OCR (add database and instances)

[SBO2004] Connecting to DIApi: "The specified module could not be found"

Hello all,
A stand-alone program that connects to the DIApi intermittently suffers from the error upon the call to DICompany.Connect() with code -2147024770 and Description "- The specified module could not be found" (this is the exact description returned by DIapi, including the minus sign).
The worst thing is that on some days it works while on other ones it fails with the above error, and I cannot find any changes to the environment that affect the program's behaviour. Every time the program is run from the same place on the same machine.
Could you please suggest where to search for the cause of the problem?

Using PS cc, the problem relates to all images as they are set to open in PS, and the message appears immediately,.i have noticed that my start up screen has changed in appearance I am using a Asrock board - could be a coincidence but the problem has only started this week 08.02.15

You have oracle 10g and python 2.6. Are you sure you installed the cx_Oracle version that is compatible with those particular Python and Oracle's versions? (It comes in several flavours so you need to be sure you installed the right one).

ODBC error: The specified module could not be found. ?

I have Oracle9i database installed on a test server. If I set the ODBC on the server (the TNS service name is ABCD), I can test it and run a VB application without any error. Then, I need to run the VB application on a client (Windows XP), that does not have any Oracle database installed. Following somebody's suggestion, I installed oo4o for Oracle9i which has the Universal Installer. Then, I installed the Oracle ODBC driver for Oracle9i. It looks okay because when I click Add under System DSN, it lists "Oracle in OraHome90" which is the same as I see on my oracle9i database server. However, the TNS service name is empty (on the database server, it lists ABCD). If I enter ABCD (or ABCD.xyz.com, the full global database host name)in it and run the test connection, I got: "The specified module could not be found" in OCI.DLL window. The listener.ora on the database server does show SID_LIST_LISTNER = ... (SID_NAME = ABCD).
Can somebody explain why? I definetly don't want to install the database client software on this client machine, I just want to run a VB or JAVA application on it to connect to the database server using ODBC, or something else if possible.

Also make sure that the ORACE_BASE\ORACLE_HOME\BIN directory is in your search path AND last, check your windows directories and subdirectories for duplicate copies of OCI.DLL (or anywhere else on the PC for that matter). Sometimes MicroSoft will include one and it is usually an OLD one.

Did you run the ODAC installer, OUI or xcopy, or did you just copy over Oracle.DataAccess.dll to the new machine? If the latter, then you need to run the installer to put in all the necessary Oracle DLLs ODP.NET references.

I see that you may be having an issue with compatibility of iTunes when connecting your iOS device. This sort of issue can arise if you have two versions of iTunes installed on your computer, which I feel may be the case. Here is an article that can tell you how to identify the version of iTunes that you have open:

If the version of iTunes that is opened is not the version you are required to use for the iOS device in question, try searching through your computer or applications folder to see if there may be two versions of iTunes installed on your computer. Then, uninstall the version that is incompatible using these steps:

PLEASE can someone help me out on a problem that is infuriating me?? i've not long had my 30GB 5th generation video ipod, and i can't get any photos or video to transfer onto it! when i connect my ipod and itunes opens up, an error message appears saying "the ipod 'name' cannot be updated. the required file could not be found". however, it updates my music no problem..
i've reset my ipod, restored it and wiped all my music off and then transferred it all back on, downloaded the new ipod updater 28-06-2006 and made sure my ipod has the most recent software etc on there, but still no joy!
i never had a problem transferring photos onto my old colour photo ipod (4th generation?), so it's really annoying that i have a supposed 'better' ipod now that won't do this for me!
any help guys? please note, i am no techie - please put any advice in simple terms!

When selecting a song to play in iTunes, I get an error message indicating the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it. I have no idea where to look since the library hold all my files.

It would help to have more background about your iTunes collection such as if you keep it on an external drive, or if you have moved or renamed anything recently. iTunes is very sensitive to you renaming or moving files or folders involved with your media. iTunes only keeps a reference to where a media file is located and then goes to look for it when you try to play it. If you have changed things since it was added to itunes then it's like me sending you to look for a friend in my addressbook but that friend has moved.
The other possibility is your computer is starting to lose files. Again, the computer uses a reference database to tell it where on the drive to look for a file. If that database gets corrupt then it starts losing files. Use Dsk Utility's first aid to verify your hard drive.
