The default location for iTunes is the ssd drive? How can I run iTunes from my 2tb hard drive?

I have recently purchased an iMac 27 i7 ssd256 2tbhd. I can not find a way to run iTunes from my 2TB HD. Can someone walk me through it ? I have tried youtube and google but nothing has worked so far.
I would like to sync my ipad and iphone to my new iMac.

I assume you mean to have your library on the external HD?
If so then you would go to iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced -> "iTunes Media Folder Location" change it to somewhere on the external HD
Then after that do File -> Library -> Organize Library -> Check "Consolidate Files" and click Ok

The old hard drive was operating on Xp and new hard drive is Windows 7, if this makes any difference.

Unfortunately there is no simple method and, the workaround is far from perfect. The .json files Firefox uses overwite the existing bookmarks but the .html option appends and does not overwrite.
First of all backup all bookmarks on each hard drive. The best method of doing that is to backup the Firefox profiles, that captures the bookmarks databases (''places.sqlite'') and the autobackups that Firefox holds.

How can I copy files from an external hard drive without creating copies on the disk?

I recently purchased a MacBook Air as part of a requirement for schoolwork. I decided to use it to sync music to my iPod and iPhone, and it worked perfectly well, however, i keep most of my music files on an external hard drive. Recently, it started sending me messages about the hard drive being almost full. I checked on the about this Mac screen, and it said that up to 95 gigabytes on the disk drive had been taken up by music. This was not my intention, as i had previously assumed the music was kept on my external hard drive as it had been on windows. I attempted to delete the folder, but it now said that my disk drive was taken up by "other" files. I want to still use my iTunes without these files copying. How?

I have an external hard drive with my pc based music. I want to transfer songs to my iphone to play through PS3 and or my Home Theatre system receiver. How do I do this...I can not seem to connect or synch with Itunes?

How can i play music from my external hard drive not purchased in itunes on my iphone

I have all of my music backed up to an external hard drive and have copied it to my new laptop and linked it to my itunes. I can play all the music on itunes but cannot play it on my iphone. The music was mostly uploaded from cd's that are now lost. Help!!!

Look in your Home > Music folder. There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl You want to guide iTunes to that file. I have been trying for over 2 weeks now trying to get my iTunes to open up so I can use my iTunes but I have not had any luck since I up graded to the new itunes. I have tried uninstalling (all apple programs) and reinstalling and nothing seems to work. Let's try this first. Hold down the Shift key while you try to launch iTunes. You should eventually see the following dialog:
Click "Choose library". Browse to inside the following location (depending on what operating system you're running):
Operating System
Default location of iTunes library
Microsoft Windows XP
\Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Vista
\Users\[your username]\Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows 7
\Users\[your username]\My Music\iTunes\
... and open the iTunes library you find in there.
