You can try right clicking on one of your xls files select get info then select open with, select other then choose office excel and check the box to say always open this file type.

How to remove the delete and edit toolbar buttons from the Overview page

Hi,
In the account/contact overview page, we see that the interaction history assignment block does not support the EDIT and DELETE options.
However, when we click on the hyperlink description of an activity in the interaction history, we get into the overview page of the activity. Here we can see the DELETE button and the EDIT button.
Is there a way to remove these two options from the overview page of an activity which is in COMPLETED status and in the interaction history section?
Please advice.

Background: I found it easier to identify duplicated songs in windows explorer as the songs will be renamed .... 1.mp3, thus enabling me to remove the duplicated songs; unlike in iTunes where I know the trick of showing duplicate songs, but you don't know which one is the one with 1 at the end of the file name.

One way is to use iTunes Folder Watch with its option to check for dead tracks on start up.
Another option is with a set of Lost & Found playlists.
Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist. Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. You can delete them all with a Ctrl-A to select them and Shift-Delete to remove them.
You can then delete the Lost & Found playlists.

After an element in the array is removed, how to move the array up?

My programs creates an array of strings. The user can choose to insert or delete a string. After a string has been deleted, I like to move the rest of the array up to fill up the space. For examples,
String[] before={"This", "is", "a", "test"};
After "a" is removed, instead of assign null to the space, I like to move "test" up so it becomes
String[] after={"This", "is", "test", null};
Can anyone help?

well i'm not doing your homework but the answer is three steps and two
loops
step one create a new array "after" one less than the size of your original "before".
step two loop through the elements of "before" up to the element
that was removed. add these elements to the "after" array.
step three loop through the elements of "before" starting at the
element after the one that was removed. add these elements to the
"after" array.
now when you get this done there is a better way to do this other than
loops. use System.arraycopy() you can see the api for that here...

However, I keep getting messages now 'New iCloud Terms and Conditions' in a window that constantly pops up. When I go to settings to log into icloud, it is locked with a grey screen. What can I do? Also, I had gone throught he process of syncing all 3 of my devices Ipad2, mini and my iphone5 to have the same passwords, etc. for ease of use. Now that seems to be all wrong as well. HELP! I need these devices for my work and I'm short on time to go to the store, but will if I have to.

If the setting is greyed out perhaps you have restrictions enabled that would prevent someone from changing accounts. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts.

On a web page with an editable table, the delete row function no longer works (the little circle with X button)

When you try to delete a row in an editable table using the built-in functions, it no longer works. We use this function regularly and just noticed this problem today. The "create row above" and "create row below" functions work, just not the delete. The delete column button does work however, so it's a bit baffling why this one function does not work. (The pages are located on our internal server so are not publicly accessible but the functionality is built into firefox.)

Same problem here. I found out that when you have a table with only 1 row, it works fine, but when you have multiple rows, it doesn't work on any row.

P.S. I also tried this outside our CMS, by using Firebug to add a contenteditable="true" on a DIV in a normal font-end template, and that has the same problem.

Why is the "Delete" and "Junk" buttons repleased with the "Archive" button (Only for one of the accounts)?

I must have changed a setting, so that the "Delete" and "Junk" buttons above the mail pane have disappeared, and an "Archive" button has appeared instead. This is true only for my mail through Gmail (IMAP), but when i open a mail from my other account (POP), i still see the "Delete" and "Junk" buttons.
How can I fix this?

Try this:
Select an email that does not show all the correct buttons in the header information section above the actual message.
right click on the blank area just above 'Other Actions', you should get a popup saying 'Customise'.
click on 'Customise'
a new window opens.
you can drag items onto that header area, but I would suggest you click on 'Restore Default Set' button and then clickon 'Done' button.
