The desktop image on my mac shows its file name. How do I get rid of that?

After I installed Earth 3D screen saver, the images shown as my desktop background are now showing a large tag with the filename, path included, of the image. How do I get rid of that tag?

Judging from the pic in your original post, you have quite a few files on your desktop. Suggest that you limit the amt of files on your desktop or keep them in your Dock or put all inside of folders. I did notice a few Safari files. You can even hide your HD if you want.
To hide the HD: Finder>General>Show these items on the desktop. Uncheck Hard disc.
After doing the above, try the following: Trash the finder plist file which is located: Option>Finder>Go>Library>Preferences. Repair permissions and restart the computer. Please post back the results.
Can you post the website link of the desktop pics for others to check?

You may want to check to make sure the clip hasn't been moved back and forth between wide screen and standard aspect ratios; sometimes a combination of letterboxing and pillarboxing can lead to a black frame "windowbox" when playing the final video. You may find the following article helpful:

No it does not. The 2 are separate.
To get Pages on your Mac mini purchase it from the Mac App Store. The icon is on your Dock.

Actually, that's not on the Home screen, it is on the multitasking or App Switcher view so only shows up when you enter that mode (so I'm not to clear as to why it is so "irritating", but whatever).
Settings app > Mail,Contacts,Calendars > scroll down to CONTACTS section] > Show in App Switcher

If 32-bit Firefox was installed, it will be always listed as such. If both 32-bit and 64-bit were installed, please make sure to start the correct one. If the History sidebar is closed when you close Firefox and doesn't stay closed on the next start then that can be problem with the file localstore.rdf in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete localstore.rdf or rename the file to localstore.rdf.sav in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to test if the file is corrupted.

Note:
