The developers at Mozilla are not giving me what I want

The developers at Mozilla are not giving me what I want. What I want is a program that doesn't slow down and then crash when I have too many windows open, which is what both 3.5 and 4.0 have done. Instead, I am getting new features that I don't want, like my tabs on top (an illogical place to put them) and a big orange button which forces me to make an extra click when I want to open a menu.
The last stable version of Firefox was version 2. When I bought a new computer and got Windows Vista, version 3.5 wouldn't even open. When I upgraded to Windows 7, version 3.5 would open, but it slowed down and crashed constantly if I had too many windows open. Version 4 is doing the same thing, but this version freezes repeatedly before it crashes, giving me the message "(Not Responding)".
So what do I do? Well, I go on the Mozilla site to send them a message, and I am confronted with condescending smiley and frown faces and a message box that is limited to 140 characters. So then I tried to find the forums, only to find no link at all to the forums. So not only doesn't the program work, but I am not allowed to send detailed feedback.
What was once a good product is now a piece of junk, and the people who are developing it don't seem to care that it doesn't work, and they treat their users with nothing but contempt.

Right-click in the empty space near the orange button and deselect "Tabs on Top" to get the tabs back to where they used to be.
For the orange button, apparently this addon will get rid of it: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/app-button-remove/
I haven't tried the above addon because I happen to like the new button. (I also had the TinyMenu addon installed on previous versions.)
I had a ton of problems with random crashes in 3.6, but in my experience 4 is worlds better. I've been using it for about a month and only had two crashes, while 3.6 was crashing almost every day. What addons do you have installed? It could be that your crashes and freezes are being caused by one of the addons.
I know what you mean about Firefox developers, though. I have been increasingly disillusioned with their tendency to label bugs as new features, and if 4 hadn't been such an improvement for me, I probably would've switched to Chrome.
