The difference between PS CS5 & PS CS5 Extended?

Is there a website somewhere where I can see the difference between PS CS5 & PS CS5 Extended? Maybe a side by side comparison. I googled it but nothing came up and I can't find anything on the Adobe website.

Hello! read this: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/compare/pdfs/91026366_PS5_edi_comp_ue.pdf

  • The difference between symbols in CS4 & CS5?!

Whenever I would break the link to a symbol in CS4, it would still stay in it's own group.
Now in CS5, it becomes it's own Sub/Layer?!? Not a fan. Is there any pref that I'm missing?
Also, whenever I hit the green light in the upper left stop light to make the window expand fully,
the window ALWAYS changes whenever I open a new/different document. I didn't have the issues in CS4.
    Please help.

Group the instance before unlinking the symbol.

what is difference between adobe photoshop  and photoshop extended cs5

    Hi,
The biggest difference is the 3D feature set is only available in Ps Extended CS5. Exclusive to Extended CS5 also are timeline for video editing, Dicom format support, Stack mode blending, analysis measurement tools, and some 32-bit painting capabilities.
Some things have changed for the Photoshop Extended CS6 version, mainly enabling more of the video editing features for both products.

  • My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images

    Any ideas?

My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images from Lightroom and choosing the "Render using Lightroom option when it popped up in the dialogue box. She has been doing this for over a year and a half without any problem. Today when she hit Command E no dialogue box appeared and the image just opened in Photoshop. I'm concerned that all of her Lightroom edits are not being rendered to Photoshop. Anyone have an idea as to how we can get the "Render using Lightroom" dialogue back?

  • What's the difference between CS5, Encore CS5, and On Location CS5?

I'm about to launch my trial software and try some video editing, and clicking the desktop icon, I'm presented with 3 folders (besides the "Read Me" files): Adobe CS5, Adobe Encore CS5, and Adobe On Location CS5. I want to know the difference between the three so I know which one to open and start editing my videos. Sorry if I'm being dumb, but I'm a newbie to video editing.

OK, thanks. That helps. It's what I guessed, but don't understand how this happened or why I would want it (others might, but I never did).
But I want all my contacts to sync. How to I go about this? I don't want a bunch of dups, but I guess I'd accept that if I can easily delete the dups on the desktop (likely tedious on iPhone). As I said in the original posting for some reason some the iMac contacts are missing the address (can't imagine at some point they weren't there).
How did this happen in the first place? Maybe doesn't matter now, but would like to avoid it in the future.

  • The Difference between Extending a Wireless network and WDS?

I have an Extreme (n) and an Express (n).
I want to make sure the signal is strong upstairs and share a printer (connected to the express) and use AirTunes. I also may add an external drive to the Extreme.
What's the difference between Extending a Wireless Network and using WDS? Will there be a speed difference?
Message was edited by: J. Christopher Edwards

I think you don't get it
If I have another draft N router that operates at 2.4G and I have only n devices I can still use WDS and it will connect using draft n in the 2.4G band.
If one g device connects to the network will go in mixed mode.
The AEBS will still report 130 Mbps for your n clients and 54 for your g clients.
If the other router is g only obviously you can't connect between the two router at n mode but still the AEBS will be in mixed mode and not in g. The Extreme will still report 130 Mbps for the connected n clients.
I can tell you that because I have actually implemented it am not taking off the documentation.
The same device if I try to use the "extend n network" does not even see the AEBS but will happily keep the n in the WDS mode and though the bandwidth is halved it is still more than g.
In any case enough for this!

  • What is the difference between Classic and Extended Withholding Tax

    Hi,
Can some please tell me what is the difference between Classic Withholding and Extended Withholding Tax. How can I look at the Withholding Tax deducted from a particular invoice?
    Number Guaranteed.
    Thanks.

    Dear Prem,
Withholding tax is the basically a tax withheld during the Vendor payment. So when making the payment to vendor the amount will be deduct (i.e withheld tax)
from the invoice and paid. The customer is actually the tax to tax authorities.
you can visit for more info.
    Withholding Tax
For the config steps you go to the IMG path FI > Financila accounting for the Global settings > Withholding Tax
Withholding tax configuration is done by FI person.
    Hope this helps you
    Prem

  • Whats the difference between implements and extends!??

Can an interface be extended or not??
If it can whats the difference between implements and extends??
    Thank you!

    Code Sample:
interface a implements aa{This is illegal. An interface cannot implement another interface. It can only extend another interface.
interface a extends aa{That's the way to do it. As already said above:
An interface can only extend another interface.
A class can extend another class.
A class can implement zero or more interfaces.
So, "implements" is only used for classes that implement interfaces. For the rest, "extends" is used.

  • What's the difference between "Extend" or "Join" a wireless network?

I have a Time Capsule as my main base station and an Airport Express I'd like to use on another floor of my home for an internet connection for my Blu-ray player and to stream music via Airtunes. If I connect the Express to the Blu-ray using Ethernet and to my speakers with an audio cable, should I set up the Express to Extend or Join my network? What's the difference between "Extend" or "Join" a wireless network?

If I connect the Express to the Blu-ray using Ethernet and to my speakers with an audio cable, should I set up the Express to Extend or Join my network?
    Extend.
What's the difference between "Extend" or "Join" a wireless network?
When you configure the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) to "join an existing wireless network" it will perform like any other wireless client (laptop, printer, etc.) that connects to that wireless network. It will NOT perform as a router nor extend the wireless range of (in this case) the Time Capsule (TC).
However, if you configure the AX to "extend a wireless network" it will perform as an additional wireless access point to your TC's wireless network, effectively extending the TC's wireless range. In addition, the AX's Ethernet port will also be enabled and you can connect a single Ethernet client or multiple ones if you connect an Ethernet switch instead.

  • What Is The Difference Between A Router Extender & A Bridge?

Since I was here, I just thought I'd ask what is the difference between a router extender like the RE 1000 and what is known as a bridge?  Does one work better than the other?  Is one better for one thing, like a wired DVD player, than the other?

The RE1000 can act as range extender as well as bridge where as the versatile Wireless Ethernet Bridge can make a wired Ethernet-enabled device a part of your wireless network.
If we talk abuot the functionality in the bridge mode, then in that case both will be same the only difference will be, WET610N will be getting DUAL frequency i.e. 2.4GHz and 5GHz from the wireless network if that is also a DUAL band.

  • Which airport is good to extend my wifi, what is the difference between the AirPort Extreme and the airport express base sstation

What is the difference between the AirPort Extreme and the airport express base station and which one can extend my wifi router.

With rare exceptions of a few older routers, neither one can extend a non-Apple router's network wirelessly - they are not designed that way - but you can extend the wireless network if the Extreme is hardwired to the router or you can connect wirelessly and join the network as an access point that will provide remote ethernet access but not produce or extend the wireless signal - here is a comparison of the Apple base stations - http://www.apple.com/wifi/

  • What is the difference between WDS and Extending a network?

What is the difference between the two? Why choose one over the other?

Both the WDS and "Extend a wireless network setting will add more coverage area to a wireless network.
WDS must be used if any device on the network is an older "g" device. The downsides to WDS are that it drops the overall wireless speed down to "g" levels (even if there are other newer "n" routers on the network) and cuts the bandwidth capability of the network in half for each "remote" device that is added to the network. That's a really severe loss in performance.
"Extend a wireless network" is a newer technology that can be used only if all of the routers on the network are newer "n" capable devices. It allows full "n" speeds and imposes only a small bandwidth penalty on the network. Obviously, this is the setup to use if your devices will support the technology.

  • What is the difference between Roaming & Extended

What is the difference between Roaming & Extended on Voice Roaming Indicators?

Extended usually means that you are on a network other than one owned by your carrier but with whom your carrier has an agreement so you are not charged extra. "Roaming" would mean you are on a network not owned by your carrier and with which they have no agreement. You may be charged an additional fee. Consult your carrier.
    Best of luck.

  • Looking for new laptop what are the differences between pro and air? Besides size. Does the air preform like the pro?

Looking for new laptop what are the differences between pro and air? Besides size. Does the air preform like the pro?

The NEW macbook Pro and Air are EXTREMELY close in form factor
The newest macbook Pro is essentially a larger macbook Air with Retina display and options for speed in increasing prices up to an independent graphics and quad core processor.
both Air and new Pro now have PCIe SSD and permanent RAM.
The Air is the lightweight portable form factor, fast to boot and shut down, but with longer battery life than any of the macbook pro in 13"
Now the new macbook Pro and macbook Air are extremely close in form factor and nature.
    both have 802ac wifi
both have permanent RAM, no superdrive
both are slim profiles and SSD
The only real differences now are (in the most expensive Pros) faster processors and quadcore processors and top end model autonomous graphics.
....and of course the retina display
both are now "very good for travel"
Other than features the form factor of the Air and Pro are VERY close now,....so now its merely a matter of features and price more than anything.
You need an external HD regardless of what you get for backups etc.   Drop into an Apple store and handle both and make your choice based on features, such as Retina or non-retina, .... both at a distance now look like the same computer.
The Pro weighs more, ....but nowhere near what it used to just a month ago on the older macbook Pros
The NEW macbook Pro is a different creature entirely than the older macbook Pro, .....the new Pro is thicker than the Air, but id frankly call the NEWEST Pro a "macbook Air with Retina display" , or
Maybe a “macbook Air PRO with Retina display”
Instead of Air VS Pro now,.....its really a smooth transition from Air to pro without comparing say, 2 different creatures, now its like contrasting a horse from a race horse.
Either one in 8gig of RAM (preferably)... the 4gig upgrade costs very little,  the I7 you will notice only 15% faster on heavy applications over the I5, and NOTHING on most APPS.....I5 has longer battery life.
As you see below, the non-Retina 13" AIR is 82% of the Macbook with Retina display in resolution
there is no magical number of pixels per inch that automatically equates to Retina quality.

A huge internal SSD isnt a game changer for anything, you need an external HD anyway
what you WONT READ on Apple.com etc. is that the larger SSD  are MUCH FASTER due to SSD density
"The 512GB Samsung SSD found in our 13-inch model offers roughly a 400MB/s increase in write speeds over the 128GB SanDisk/Marvell SSD"

  • The difference between all Macs!

I'm a college student and was interested in buying a MacBook. I see there are many to choose from between the PRO and AIR along with different sizes and capacity. Is there anyone who can help explain the difference between all and which would be the best to use for school?
    Thank you!

Without any useless jabber about which one is which. Please tell us what you plan on using the mac for?
i.e.- I myself am a graphic designer so therefore I naturally chose the MacBook Pro for their more advanced hardware rather than a MacBook or an Air.
For regular web-browsing, word documents, downloading etc a MacBook could possibly due you just fine. If portability is your primary concern and you have absolutely no use for a cd/dvd drive, then you could maybe look at an Air.
Photo, video editing, or pretty much running anything from the Adobe CS5.5 collections a MacBook Pro is almost a must.
Other than that, hard-drive space, extra memory(RAM), and yes even screen real-estate can alway be expanded.
13"- ultra light an portable regardless of which model you decide.
15"- you need more screen size for photo/video editing and do not intend to purchase an external monitor or small 1080p television.
17"- this might as well be a desktop. For college use these become somewhat of a trouble to carry around due to weight. But for when screen size is the most important.
I always encourage consumers to visit their local Mac retailer and ask questions. My Best Buy store has an Apple representative there and is very helpful. And if you have never used a Mac before, as with anything, there is a learning curve, but once you figure them out, you'll wonder why you never got one a long time ago.
Be sure to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office, and with ALL laptops, enquire about service plans that cover accidental since they cover dropping the product as manufacturing warranties DO NOT!
