Could anyone please explain why the director has been removed from spotlight as it had much importance in LYNC 2010 and now being an optional role in LYNC server 2013.[any call flows regarding director servers would be much useful]

A Director is a server running Lync Server 2013 that authenticates user requests, but does not home any user accounts. Lync 2013 Front End servers have the same registrar service and functionality
as the Director.
The Director isn't providing any special functionality. If the Director goes down, all pools would become inaccessible when the clients queried DNS for the SRV record until an administrator
makes a manual internal DNS change that points users to a Front End pool to handle the sign-in request from Lync clients. Microsoft has made the Director functionality relevant for organizations that have specific security requirements, such as allowing all
external users to register to a specific internal server instead of the Front End servers. This server role is merely optional and not needed for most Lync Server 2013 deployments.

Conditions for Multiple Screen Fields
To ensure that one or more PAI modules are only called when several screen fields meet a particular condition, you must combine the calls in the flow logic to form a processing chain. You define processing chains as follows:
CHAIN.
ENDCHAIN.
All flow logic statements between CHAIN and ENDCHAIN belong to a processing chain. The fields in the various FIELD statements are combined, and can be used in shared conditions.

MODULE <mod1> ON CHAIN-INPUT|CHAIN-REQUEST.

Can anyone explain why the new blackberrys don't come with a holster?

I'm just looking to upgrade my phone on contract through vodafone. I have been looking at the Z30 model for a few weeks. When i got my current phone (White Bold 9900) I recived a leather holster that came with the phone.
I would like to know a reason why blackberry have decided to stop the holsters. I have always seen blackberry as a luxury device and the holster was always part of that reason. I would of thought since blackberry started to struggle to keep up with the lastest competing phones, they would be trying harder to keep their existing custom as much as possible.
I feel like blackberry has forgotten they were once seen as the luxury phone only a few years ago.
Could anyone please explain why they have stopped it? thanks

Both machines start with an automatic login so technically there is an interactive user.
Nevertheless, it is an interesting point. i will try to configure the applications to run under a particular user and see if that changes anything.

I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up in Finder.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

Hi. Trying to connect iomega ext. HD. i have to reformat for Mac. When i plug in & go to Disk Utility,the external shows up and i'm supposed to click "partition". When i do, a box comes up saying ""Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility." I quit and relaunched, same results. After googling my question, i came up with this:
"Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility."
(Quitting and reopening Disk Utility does not help.)
The following also appears in Console log:

Quit Disk Utility.
From the Finder's Go menu, choose Go to Folder....
Type the following, then click OK: /Library/Receipts
Temporarily remove these iTunes receipts from /Library/Receipts (sort the folder alphabetically as a list):
iTunes.pkg
iTunes4.pkg
You can put them on the desktop, for example. Do not remove iTunesX.pkg or iTunes Phone Driver.pkg.
Open Disk Utility and repair disk permissions again.
Quit Disk Utility.
Put the removed iTunes receipts back in /Library/Receipts.
Note: This issue does not affect Disk Utility's verify or repair disk features.
All seemed good, for a moment, until, upon going back to Disk Utility after removing itunes4.pkg and putting on desktop (i did not have itunes.pkg to remove) the same thing was happening. When i highlite my iomega ext. on left of page, disk perrmissions is grayed and does not allow me to click on it. Same problem from the start. Can somebody please help me out here? You shouldn't be scared of that, because you should already have backups. If you don't have backups, then backing up is the first priority.
Insert the Snow Leopard DVD and restart. When you hear the chime, hold down the C key and keep holding it until the Apple logo appears on the display. You should now see the language selection screen. Select your language, then choose Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar. In the Disk Utility window, select the external drive (not the internal). The drive may already have a data partition, in which case there will be another icon below the drive icon. Choose the drive icon, then select the Partition tab. Create a single partition with the default options (GUID partition table, Mac OS X Extended Journaled).
When the partitioning is done, select the startup volume on your internal drive in the DU window. Select the Restore tab. Drag the icon of the startup volume to the "Source" field. Then drag the icon of the newly-created volume on the external drive to the "Destination" field. Make sure you have this right. Then click the Restore button, and the data on your startup volume will be copied to the external drive.

If you have Java skills it is advantage for you.
There are Local classes as well as Global Classes.
Local classes we can work in SE38 straight away.
But mostly it is better to use the Global classes.
Global Classes or Interfaces are to be created in SE24.
SAP already given some predefined classes and Interfaces.
This OOPS concepts very useful for writing BADI's also.
So first create a class in SE 24.
Define attributes, Methods for that class.
Define parameters for that Method.
You can define event handlers also to handle the messages.
After creation in each method write the code.
Methods are similar to ABAP PERFORM -FORM statements.
After the creation of CLass and methods come to SE38 and create the program.
In the program create a object type ref to that class and with the help of that Object call the methods of that Class and display the data.

I need to use java code to implement the function of ORA_HASH(expr, max_bucket, seed_value).
I saw the ORA_HASH(expr, max_bucket, seed_value)'s description from http://www.stanford.edu/dept/itss/docs/oracle/10g/server.101/b10759/functions097.htm.
But I still don't know the detailed arithmetic of ORA_HASH(expr, max_bucket, seed_value).
So could you please tell me the detailed arithmetic of ORA_HASH(expr, max_bucket, seed_value)?

Not sure Oracle will actually divulge the internal workings of their functions to you.
However, they are standard algorithms (depending on which parameter you pass to the function) i.e. it depends on whether you are doing an SHA-1 hash or a MD5 hash etc.
Information is available on the web...

which describes who or where the algorithms were developed and then you can look up to see if the actual specifications for them are on the web (they'll be around somewhere) e.g.

Can someone explain why the Secure Easy Setup light on a WRT54G would change from a steady green to steady orange after firmware upgrade? Everything is connecting properly, and I see no change in performance of network other than light change described. Thanks.

The way I understand the Secure Easy Setup button is this.
It will be orange when the router is in normal operation mode. The light turns green when you press the Cisco Systems button (that is orange normally) so that the router will search for the web device you are trying to connect to the router. If you want to disable this feature all together go into your router settings page at 192.168.1.1
Go to the Wireless tab, and then the Advanced Wireless Settings sub-heading, once in there look for the option SecureEasysetup and simply set it to disable (enabled is default) then click the save now and apply the settings. The light should be out now meaning you don't have the Secure Setup feature enabled.
It is just a personal choice to have it on or off, it should not affect router or internet performance unless you hit the button trying to connect a device to the network.
