The display Screen of my iPod touch is appearing complete White.

Hi All,
Few days before i have attach my iPod touch to my laptop throgh data/charging code provided by apple.
The dispaly screen is appearing complete white.
Some time in past i have a same screen problemI It appeared white or some horizantal or vertical lines are displayed.
But it will resolve immediately as i did shut down and shup up 2 to 3 times.
But this time is has a serious problem. It is appearing complete white.
Not a single word is appearing after start up and before shutting.
Though the screen is white but the sound system is working properly.
I have tested it with my imagination which icon will appear where and randomly pressed finger in any song.
And that song was played.
As per my understanding it may be a OS problem or may be screen problem or Virus problem.
Please suggest me some needful solution.

You can get no virus using your ipod, unless you're running modified software on it.
Try to set it up "as new device" and see if the display comes back. If not, you'll have to get it serviced.

The screen to my ipod touch has gone completely white and I cannot power it down, or do anything.  I have it plugged into a power source right now

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

the white screen on my ipod touch 4th gen is white with some skiny colored lines can someone help please

    - Try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try again.
    - If still not successful time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Can I change the Black colour of my ipod touch 4g with new white one?

Can I change the Black colour of my ipod touch 4g with new white one?

You can't get a new color iPod for free. Unless you paint it (which I highly reccomend NOT doing), you must buy a new white iPod touch. You can't trade your iPod touch in for a white one.

  • Help! The screen on my iPod Touch is stuck on white!

Well I was having problems with the volume control, and then the whole thing just crashed. It still strangely plays music, but the screen is white. What do I do?

Mine froze on a white screen today. Just before it did it, it went onto the Clock screen (Don 't know wy it was on clock, I may have just touched it bt accident, I had just gone back to the home screen from Calendar) a pop up appeared with a mini music display, there was a play button, forward/back buttons, track details, volume control and 2 buttons underneath, entitled 'CLOSE' and 'MUSIC', I can't remember which order I pressed the buttons, the first one did nothing, the second changed it from the Clock page to the Album listing page, but still with the same pop up screen on top .
Pressing the Home button didn't take me back to the home screen, it did nothing. It then went to a white screen and all I could do was sleep and wake it. I held down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for a long time, the Silver Apple logo appeared and sat there for a couple of minutes, and then it was back to normal.
My wife's identical iPod did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, we didn't get it as far as doing this re-set (didn't hold the buttons long enough?) so to save time we docked it and re-set it via iTunes. This worked fine, and iTunes backed it all up before re-setting, then put it all back as it was, though this took longer than re-setting using Home and Sleep/Wake buttons.
Both iPods are 10 weeks old and on the 2.2 firmware. I may call support as they are still inside the 90 day period.

  • How to know if the display colors of an iPod Touch are correct?

    It's a 5th generation, 32 GB silver model.
I bought it yesterday and have been using and checking it, and I have this impression that the colors on the screen are a bit greener than normal, as if the color balance was slightly off. I know there was an upgrade from the 4th gen Retina to the 5th gen augmentating the saturation so perhaps it's just the change what makes me wonder, that I'm not used to it. But I really see that the colors just don't seem normal or not natural, as if you took a picture of something and then added a bit of green in an editing program. I even took a picture of a plain yellow album cover in front of me and in the screen it looked a little bit paler and colder in tone when comparing both objects side to side, while the album seemed warmer.
I'm keen to see this kind of details and if it's really something odd I'm probably going to have to struggle when I go back to the store, because it's not an obvious defect (hypothetically speaking) like lines on the display or one earbud not working. Is there a way to prove this wrong for myself and get out of doubts, as in calibration or something similar? What should I do if resetting to factory settings doesn't change it? Thanks.

Color is very subjective. The one way is to compare it with another 5G iPod or maybe an iPhone 5. You can do that at an Apple store or if you know someone who has one of those devices.

  • What happens when you reach the maximum number of failed attempts on the lock screen password of iPod Touch?

Do you get the screen that says, "iPod is disabled. Connect to iTunes", or do you get that screen when you reach the maximum number attempts on the restrictions password?

Thank you. I am out of town traveling and my daughter sent me a picture saying the got the before mentioned message. She told me she forgot her lock screen password, and that just boggled my mind considering she locks and unlocks that thing 1000 times daily. I automatically assumed she was trying to guess the password I put on the restrictions page.

  • How do I enable the lock screen on my ipod touch if it is disabled?

My ipod touch is locked and disabled. It says to connect to itunes, but I have no clue how to enable it. Can someone PLEASE help me? I have a cheerleading competition today, and I leave at 2:30 pm. I wanted to be able to listen to music on the way there. It is a two hour drive. I need help AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Boot in recovery, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, select it in sidebar and restore

  • There is a strange small gear like circle on the black screen of my ipod touch 3g

The ipod is unresponsive, is fully charged and this strange circle (looks like a little gear) is in the center of the screen, I've never seen this before and I don't know what to do to fix it, does any one know why it did this or how to fix it?

This is a problem. It has crashed. Try connecting to iTunes and restoring. If that doesn't work, contact Apple.
    Good luck.

  • The screen on my ipod touch is stuck zoomed in. I turned it off and back and its still stuck zoomed in. I also tried to reset it and that didn't work either. Please help.

The screen on my ipod touch is stuck zoomed in. I don't know how it happened I just looked down and it was like that. I have turned it off and back and even reset it but it still keeps zooming back in each time I turn it on. I can't unlock it because I can't see the numbers and it won't let me move around the screen. Please help.

This is asked and answered often.  The foru search bar is on the right side of this page.
It is also covered in the manual - zoom feature:

    Double tap with three fingers.

  • The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch.  How do I get it to begin working?  It just stopped today.

The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch.  How do I get it to begin working?  It just stopped today.
Does anyone know what I can do?  I am unable to switch screens, and I can not see the track that is playing.  The only was I can switch between songs is to use the controls on my headphones.

Try the stamdard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Hi, The touch screen of my Ipod touch is brocken( not responding), I can't enter my code to unlock it, so I can't make any backup of my data before changing the Ipod touch at the Apple store( still in warranty) . Is there any other way to cancel this code from my computer? thanks

There is no way to make a backup of your iPod.
