  • WHAT IS THE DIFF B/N DRILLDOWN REPORT AND INTERACTIVE REPORT

    HI
EXPERTS CAN U HELP ME FOR THIS
    THANKU

    Hi....
There is no difference between drill down and interactive report, they are the same.
With drilldown reporting, SAP provides you with an interactive information system to let you evaluate the data collected in your application. This information system is capable of analyzing all the data according to any of the characteristics that describe the data. You can also use any key figures you wish to categorize your data. You can display a number of objects for a given key figure, or a number of key figures for a given object. In addition, the system lets you carry out any number of variance analyses (such as plan/actual comparisons, fiscal year comparisons, comparisons of different objects, and so on).
You can produce both simple, data-directed lists (basic reports) and complex, formatted lists in drilldown reporting (form reports).
Drilldown report provides you with comfortable functions for navigating through your data. For example, you can jump to the next level of detail or the next report object on the same level, hide individual levels and switch between the detail and drilldown lists. It also provides a number of additional functions which let you process lists interactively (sorting, conditions, ranking lists, and so on). SAP Graphics, SAPmail and the Excel List Viewer are also integrated into drilldown reporting.
The drilldown functions are divided into three groups which differ in the number of functions available. That way each user can choose the functional level most suited for his requirements.
In addition to the online functions for displaying reports, drilldown reporting also provides functions which let you print reports. A number of formatting functions are available to let you determine the look of your printed reports (page breaks, headers and footers, underscores, and so on).
The menus and the functions available directly on the drilldown report make it easy to use the information system.
    What is an Interactive Report?
An interactive report generally works in the following fashion:
    1. Basic list is displayed.
    2. User double clicks on any valid line
    or
User selects a line and presses as button on the tool bar.
    3. The corresponding event is triggered
    4. Then in the code, the line on which action was done, is read.
    5. Depending on the values in that selected line, a secondary list is displayed.
    6. Steps from 2-5 are repeated till the end.
From the above explanation, I believe, its clear that, the 20th list, will essentially depend on the "selected line" of 19th list. According to your question, you want to move to 20th list directly, without "a prior list". May I know the exact requirement so that, an appropriate solution can be suggested?
Again, your question was, how to move to 20th list directly on pressing of execute button. Its not possible to move to 20th list. You must cross over a basic list, before you can go to a different list level, using the code given by Pavan.
    What are Drilldown reports?
The lines of basic list of a drilldown report when clicked, will take the user to the corresponding (standard) object's display.
For eg: Suppose your report's primary component is purchase requisition, (assume you are printing PR details), and the basic list displays details of many PRs.
Eg: when clicked on a particular line of the PR basic list, it takes you to std t-code me53 (display of purchase requisition). This is the 'Drill-down' functionality.
For this, in the at-line selection of your program, as per the above ex: you'll set the parameter ID of PR number BAN (that you can get from Data element) in memory (using set parameter id) and then calling the corresponding transaction (usually skipping initial screen of the std t-code).
Likewise, if it's Material Number (Matnr), you'll be displaying MM03 transaction w.r.t. the line's matnr
    Hope it will help u
    regards

  • FI-AR drilldown report

    Hello,
I use the drilldown report to display the due date analysis for open
Item for the customer. But I see that only the amount in Local currency (field name

In our system, in FI, we have activated the parallel currency (group currency, currency type 30).
So, I need to the execute the report with the group currency, or need to have in the
selection screen the field "currency type".
How can I add a new key figure?
I create the form in FDI4 transaction, form type Line item analysis.
    Thanks for your help,

  • GL Drilldown Reporting Tool - Summation of constants (OBDC)

    Hi,
we are using the drilldown reporting tool (financial statement key figures) and want to incorporate constants for e.g. number of working days, number of sales orders.
We defined the constants in the corresponding customizing transaction OBDC and maintained values per company code/year/month. So, for example, we have for the constant DAYS:
    Company Code 1000, Year 2010, Period 4, DAYS:20
    Company Code 1000, Year 2010, Period 5, DAYS:19
    Company Code 1000, Year 2010, Period 6: DAYS:21
In the form for the drilldown report, a row is defined using the constant "DAYS". Then a "Selection with key figures" is made, where we select the constant again, as well as year (e.g. 2010) and period from (variable) to period to (variable).
When executing the report for 2010, months April to June, we would expect the system to add up the values for DAYS, coming up with the value "60" for the column. However, the system shows the value for the last selected period (June): 21.
Can someone tell me if we are doing something wrong in the definition of the report or if it is simply not possibe to add up constants like this. Any suggestions how to proceed to solve this?
    Thanks in advance
    Tanja

Constants are normally treated as text strings.  So mathematical functions are not performed on them.

  • Configuration for Chracterstica values in drilldown report

    HI All,
I am working on FI drill down report.
The drilldown report is working fine. But the problem is I want to select some chractetsics in the report form of general data selection section.
When i am selecting the field the company code is also along with that.
For example if i am selecting RACCT the bukrs is also coming automaticaaly with that.
Please anbody let me know what would be the problem.
I want to know where we do configure in SPRO all the chracteric values for drilldown reports.
    Thanks

    Hi Fi experts,
Please anybody let me know from where the CHracerstic values come into FI drill down report.
Please let me know the configuration path.
    Thanks,

  • I don't have all the reports in the Crystal Report Gallery

I cannot find all options in the reports gallery (ex: drill down reports). I'm using crystal report under VS 2005. can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem ?

The DrillDown report expert is only available from the full versions of Crystal Reports.  You can still manually create drilldown type reports by utilizing groups/subreports.

  • Ondemand subreport or a drilldown, I want the content to appear in the same tab that is in the main report

<p><strong>When I click on the ondemand subreport or a drilldown, I want the content to appear in the same tab that is in the main report itself. How to make this work? As of now it opens up a new tab for drilldown or ondemand subreport? How to make this work? I want any expert here to throw some light on this?</strong></p><p>Plz mail me at    [email protected] </p>

I fixed this problem. It was pretty easy.
First, in the address bar, type in " about:config " .
When it asks if you are sure about making changes & it may void the warranty, click "yes--I promise I'll be careful" or something along those lines. (I heard there is no warranty, & it's just a joke)
Once you get to the new screen, find " browser.link.open_newwindow "
You will see the # 3 on the same line. Change that value to 1.
    Wah-la! :)

  • How to remove the append "/1 CAD" in the column of drilldown report

    Hi Expert,
We have a report for "AGED TRIAL BALANCE for AP" in local currency and column heading are printing fine.
Example of column header "0 - 30" and its automatically appending "/1 CAD":
    Sample output:
      0 - 30    |     31 -60   |
      1 CAD    |   1 CAD     |
Now I am creating the same report but in document currency which i want to remove the auto append "/1 CAD".
On the form I am using the characteristics "Due date analysis".
How can i remove this currency  "1CAD" thing.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
this has to do with the scaling and formating you are using.
If you are using an automatic Scaling mode and you X-values have the display format "Time", DIAdem switches to the scaling type "Date/Time".
By default, DIAdem is using an automatic formating with two lines. The upper is for the Ticks and the lower for a larger step. It looks as if your time-data is only holdig the seconds of the day, but not the date itself. So DIAdem assumes a year 0 and the 1 is for the first day of the year. If your data spans over several days, you will see the number of the day below the 12:00 for each day. Depending on the X-values, the automatic scaling will show seconds, minutes, hours or dates and years.
You just need to go to the X-Axis - numbers tab and change the format. "#hh:nn" would do the job with leading zeros and "#HH:nn" without leading zeros.

  • How to develp a subreport in the same page of the main report and processed when is called

    SSRS 2012
    Hi guys,
I am developing a report that includes a subreport.
therefore The report is made up by 2 sections:
    1) Show a grid (several rows - may be 100 or more - and some columns). It represent high level info  (Each row represent a specific item)
    2) The user click on a Row/column (eg: Item1, to see details that must be shown as graph.
Here the problem: Searching info about SSRS reporting for subreports, drilldown, nested report and so on, no ones accomplish the requirements for the following reasons:
    1) Subreports: NOT open in the same page. The user must <go back> to see detail for other items, such as Item 2....
    2) Nested and DrillDown: Process data as the Main report (they are hidden and displayed after user action). In my case this leads to performance problem, because: if the main report has 200 objects (it means 200 graphs processed and hidden at the same time
    for the main reports).
    3) DrillThrough and Subreport: The detail data are processed only when the user select the interested item in the main report. Here the problem: the report is shown externally.
Please, it there any possibility to have a subreport (or anything else) to be executed in the same report as the main report and processed only when the user make action?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Fasttrack2,
According to your description, there is a main report with more than 100 rows of summary information, when users click the item of the row, the report need to jump to detail information shows as graph. The problem you are facing is that you are not sure
subreport, drilldown or drillthrough report should be used? You hope to set display detail information in the main report and keep high performance of report.
In Reporting Services, each subreport instance is a separate query execution and a separate report processing task. Subreports are recommended when there are just a few subreport instances. We should not use subreports inside a group when there are many
group instances, instead, consider using drillthrough reports. Drilldown reports process all data even when the data is first hidden. In order to improve the performance of the report, we can split drilldown reports into parameterized drillthrough reports,
because Drillthrough reports do not run until a user clicks the drillthrough link in the main report.
In this case, we can consider using drilldown or drillthrough report. In drilldown report, when we click a plus or minus button to expand or collapse a section of a report, the detail data will be displayed in place. By using drillthrough report, when we
click the link in the main report, the detail data will be displayed, we can come back to the main report by click return button in the drillthrough report.

    Sales report for the country
    North   $250
    South  $100
    East    $300
    West   $150
    Total    $800
I need to Drill on details for one of the items
    Sales report for the country
    North   $250
      AA     $100
      AB     $100
      AC     $ 50
    South  $100
    East    $300
    West   $150
    Total    $800
Is it doable with Crystal, if so I would like to know how it can be possible without using a stored procedure in Oracle.
    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat

First you need to create a group on country in the report and place the details in detail section. Now suppress your detail section based on the condition like this
    drilldowngrouplevel=0
Now refresh the report and you can see all the countries and the total amount. When you double click on the group name country you can see the details.

  • Drilldown report FGI0 Account Number and compounding Chart of Accounts

    Dear all,
I created a drilldown report in FGI0 for FAGLFLEXS (Reporting for Table FAGLFLEXT). I am showing the field Account Number. However the field display is [Chart of accounts][Account number] in the corresponding column, but I want to display only the Account number.
If I remove the compounding field RKTPL from table TKAFD, then the program cannot find the Account Number Text.
Is there a way to show only the Account Number, without the Chart of Accounts in its 4 first fields, and also show the account text?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Drilldown reports

    Hi
I have defined a drilldown report using transaction IMD1(report painter).
The user wants an ALV list instead of the graphic control. When I get the ALV list and when I double click on a coloumn it should take me to a transaction.
I couldnt find any setting where I can say this. The code is a generated code and so I cannot modify the code also..Can you please suggest any workaround for this.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Jaysree,
I hope u have done the ALV creation part and the output is coming.

    U need to:
Set the event handlers that are defined in the class here
        set handler event_receiver->handle_toolbar      for alv_grid.
        set handler event_receiver->handle_user_command for alv_grid.

  • Report Painter vs FM Drilldown Reports

    Hello Experts:
We are upgrading from Former Budgeting to BCS and are attempting to use the report painter tool for our reports.  I have not used the report painter tool much although it is similar to the FM Drilldown Reporting functionality.  My question is:
With FM Drilldown Reporting, characteristic FM acct asst was available as a row choice and included fund, funds center, and commitment item.  It appears with report painter that each of these is a separate characteristic which creates three lines on the report instead of one.
    Example:
    FM Drilldown Reports
    Fund/Funds Center/Comm Item    $$$
    Report Painter
    Commitment Item  $$$
    Funds Center       $$$$
    Fund                     $$$$$
I know that we could use Fund and/or Funds Center as variations but we want them to appear on a line in the report so that when the report is downloaded, the information appears as in my Drilldown report example.   Is there a way to create a characteristic that includes all three FM assignments?  Or some other method to accomplish this?

    Hi Everyone:
I am still fighting with Report Painter.  I am now trying to figure out how to pull Period in as a column characteristic even though I have it as a characteristic in the General Data Selection.  I'm using Library 4FM for budget reporting.  My end users want to be able to execute the report by period but for certain columns of the report be able to see all periods displayed.  Example:
    Adjusted Budget - All Periods
Commitments - Period from selection screen
Expenses - Period from selection screen
I do not understand the use of the GRCT transaction.  Are there any links that might provide detailed instructions for it's use?
I would appreciate any assistance/guidance you can provide.

  • Drilldown reports in Accounts Payable

I am trying to add the discount amount (BSEG-WSKTO) to the output of the S_ALR_87012078 report. The requirement is to have the age wise discount amount as an additional column. I have copied the form 0SAPDUEAN-01 (FKI4 transaction)and create a new drilldown report with it. I have even tried to create a new form. However in any case when I try to add a new element to the form, it only provides a selected list of options(or characteristics). The usual report painter reports have a library associated with them. Is there any kind of library associated with the reports created with FKI1 transaction? Is there any way to add a new characteristic with the field I need? Please let me know how I can add this new column. Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Saika

It is not possible to include new field to the report by customizing, I suggest that you can develop a customize by ABAPer.
