`hello, i was doing some reading about the different dv formats and i think i get the different tapes. plez correct me if i'm wrong. so mini dv and hdv are the same in size. dvcpro is slighty larger than mini dv and dvcam is the biggest one.
from what i read hdv is not fun to edit with because when you edit it leaves artifacts behind at the head/tail of clips.

There are three flavors of standard definition DV or Digital Video. And all three codecs are the same in quality. But if you use higher end cameras and lenses, wich are only available for DVCAM and DVCPRO, you will definitly get a better picture quality.
DV that is used by consumers and has two cassette sizes. They call it mini and standard tapes.
DVCAM has also two sizes of tapes. Just like DV it has a mini and standard tape. The only difference between the DV and DVCAM codes is that the DVCAM tape speed (28.215 mm/sec) is running 1/3 faster then DV (18.81 mm/sec). So, on a 60 minute mini-DV tape you can record 40 minutes of DVCAM. On the other side, with a 184 minute DVCAM tape you can get 276 minutes of DV.
DVCPRO also has two sizes in tape shells. They call it medium and large. The medium tape has a size between the mini and standard DV/DVCAM. The large tape has the same size as a standard DV/DVCAM tape. DVCPRO has an even faster tape speed then DVCAM. It is running at 33.82 mm/sec.
DV and DVCAM are compatible with each other. They use the same tape type: ME (Metal Evaporate).
DVCPRO uses MP (Metal Particle), and is not playable in DV or DVCAM machines with the exception of the Sony DSR-2000(P) studio deck. DVCPRO decks can play DV and DVCAM material without problems.
What you have been reading about HDV is absolutly not true. It edits just the way DV, DVCAM or DVCPRO does.

But what if there are 2 disks on pc，and for a record the disk 0 is always the OS disk,don't need to confirmed this.How can we modify the format and partition step to format only C on disk0 under this condition?then lead the mdt to do the rest deployment

You are pushing up against the design limits of MDT, and the more complex and/or arbitrary the disk configuration the harder it is for MDT to perform installations.
If you want to maintain the *existing* disk configuration, and just update the OS present, then the recommended course of action is to run MDT from *within* the OS (cscript.exe
\\server\deploymentshare$\scripts\litetouch.vbs), not from WinPE. When you do this, it's called a "refresh" scenario. MDT can capture the user files via USMT, and it knows which
partitions to use, because it's launched from within the OS itself.
Disabling the default Format and Partition step has other unintended consequences.

Repartition and format the drive for a Mac:
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

Does the file format differ when you Publish locally to hard drive vs. to the Connect Pro server?

I notice that when I publish locally to my hard drive to review a set of slides, I see a folder full of files. If I click on index.htm within the folder, I can launch the slides.
When I publish to the Adobe Connect Pro server, I merely see a url for the link to the course.
I'm not sure what this url link represents (as far as the file format is concerned):
Has the presentation been converted to different file format than what is published on my local drive? If so, what format is it in?
If the presentation has not been converted, does the directory structured published to my local drive get replicated on the Adobe Connect Pro server, and the url is merely a link to the "starting file " within that folder (say, index.htm)?

The published output does not differ between publishing locally and publishing to Connect. The URL on the Connect server does, ultimately, point to the Index.htm or viewer.swf file.

Date not being displayed in the custom format

Hi ,
I have a problem wherein i am unable to change the format of the date.
I need the date to be in the format 'January 10,2010.' however the date is being displayed as '1/10/10'. I have tried all options for the date formatting. I specified the custom format as 'MMMM D,YYYY' as mentioned in the SAP Library. I am trying to use the std custom options like YYYY-MM-DD, the date is not being dispalyed in the custom format provided by SAP either.
I have binded date from the context, used the Current Date field provided by SAP. Nothing works.
Its not working on the new form. However the old forms have the same kind of formatting and are being displayed as desired.
Please suggest as to what the issue could be.

Even I'm encountering the same issue. I'm trying to control the outputted date format programmatically.Please have a look.
data: v_int_date like sy-datum,
v_ext_date(10).
v_int_date = '20110201'
write v_int_date to v_ext_date MM/DD/YYYY.
Here I've tried to convert the date to external format using a fixed format(MM/DD/YYYY). But still it's getting outputted in the format DD/MM/YYYY only as that's the way its defined in the User Master!
Is there any solution for this? How can I 'override' defaults in the SAP User Master?

Because the ACR module is meant to convert the raw data into an image format that the editor can read. From the editor (or the organizer) you can save your raw files to image files formats like jpeg, tiff or psd. Simply click the 'Open in editor' button.
For batch conversion to jpeg, either use the 'process multiple files' option in the file menu of the editor, or select several raws in the organizer and export to a new location in the desired format.
The option to 'save' as DNG may be used if you want to convert to the raw DNG format. You don't need to use that feature.
I highly recommend you take the time to read the help file (Help button in the camera raw dialog).

When opening firefox to my Yahoo homepage, all of the formatting is screwed up. If I open it under explorer, it's fine. Any suggestions as to why firefox is messing up the yahoo formatting?

The whole yahoo homepage is pushed to the left side and listed in a columnar format. None of the picture graphics appear as well. It's seems like yahoo isn't compatible. The whole page is setup in almost an outline format with numbers for each topic. (for example, Mail is showing as #1 with a small box with a decimal underneath. #2 is Autos with a box with a decimal underneath..and so on. The links are just boxes and there are decimals throughout. At the top left of the page, displayed over the Yahoo title is "YAI". If I close out and open yahoo under explorer, the site is perfectly normal so this tells me it has something to do with the firefox formatting. Using windows vista 2007.

If you are talking about using the Report Generation Toolkit, the report format for Word reports is .doc format, and for Excel spreadsheets is .xls format. These are binary files whose format is proprietary to Microsoft. If you're talking about an HTML report, obviously the generated file is a .html file that is viewable in a standard text editor. And for Standard Reports, there is no file generation (they get sent straight to the printer).

Hi,
You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

Problem with the number format in the graph axis with Report Generation Toolkit.

I'm trying to use the Report Generation Toolkit to plot some graphs in Excel.
My first problem is that I don't know how to configure the number format in the Excel Set Graph Font.vi so that my numbers are correctly displayed in the graph's axis. The only given option is general (0,0) but this is not enough for me, my numbers can get really small so I need engineering notation or fraccional format.
Second: I also insert a table with the graph source data, but the numbers are not correctly displayed either: for example:
0,75 is shown as:
0,750000
but 1,25 is shown as:
1!250!000
My guess is I am making to much or wrong string to number conversions or Excel is getting it wrong but I can't find my way...
Can someone help me with this?

Mail cannot open in the file format presented

every so often, I get an error message in Mail on my iPad telling me, that it can’t open the message in the file format sent. ‘Ask sender to re-send in a different format.’ On the other hand, the same message will open perfectly in Mail on my MacBook.
Why is that?
Note: this is just a regular message, NOT any kind of attachment.

It's possible that the email was sent in some sort of "fancy formatting" rather than plain text. iPad probably reads plain text email messages a lot better than formatted ones (with different fonts, etc. that may not be recognized by iPad).

I have 5.0 on WIN XP, but the format is the old 3.6 version. How do I get the new format as in 4.0?

I installed 5.0 on my new computer running XP Pro, but the screen
format reverts back to the 3.6 version. According to what I see on the Firefox home page the screen format of 5.0 should match what I had in the 4.0 version. Can this be changed somehow? I was just getting used to the 4.0 format and like it better.

Right-click the menu bar and untick Menu Bar in the dropdown menu.
