Please check your network(internet/intranet connection) or network firewall settings through which you are connected. There might be some network firewall level policies blocking its request. Please try after changing network connection.

Most likely you have set the wrong file as the external editor. You don't want the obvious one; that's just a link to the welcome screen. Go back and choose this one, which is hidden away inside the folder Support Files:

Fire fox is not loading face book, the page is all off to the left and it just keeps trying to load, and there are no pictures

i have be trying to load facebook all day, but it just tries to load and the writing is all off to the left, and keeps trying to load. the face book login page is magnified and all wonky. i thought it may be a task bar , so i had the Zynga tool bar removed, but the problem still exist...

TS1398 my ipod touch won't join the wifi network even after entering correct password. it just keeps trying to join but I can't use internet

My home wifi is working for all my other apple devices but my daughter's Ipod Touch won't connect. It recognises the network and attempts to join it as usual but it just keeps 'trying' without actually connecting. Have switched on and off, renewed lease, reset networks etc - basically everything I can think of but no luck. Any help much appreciated.

Try restarting your router, if you are still having problems try resetting your network settings. Go into your settings>reset then tap reset network settings.

Aperture 2.1 does not show edits from Photoshop Elements 6 on a PPC

I am trying the Aperture 2.1 trial - and, so far I like it. However, when I use it with Photoshop Elements 6 as an external editor in Aperture on my iMac G5 PPC it seems to create another copy (as it should) but when I try to save the edited version in Aperture I see two versions of the original - both the same! I do not see the edited version at all. The copy has a round circle in bottom right corner. I have tried for hours with many edits and cannot find them in Aperture.
However, when I do exactly the same edits - on the same photos - using my Intel Macbook Pro it works as it should! I see the original and alongside is the edited version!
Why does this not work the same with my Power PC?
I have tried trashing the .plist preference of Aperture on the PPC but still does not work.
Cab anyone please help? I have a lot of 35mm slides to scan - using the Macbook Pro - and I want to edit using the iMac as the screen is much bigger!

Brilliant! Problem solved - thank you Barbara! Thanks also Victor who identified the 'save' as the problem!
Just for your info I then realised why this had happened. I first used the trial with iPhoto - on the PPC - and I chose in the Preferences 'Save as' rather than Save. I forgot the non destructive nature of the edits and that 'saving over' is not the same as replace! As soon as I changed the preference on the PPC back to the default of save over - it worked as on the Intel Mac. My edit now appears alongside the original (and it has a small circle at bottom right corner)
This is great - I have now ordered Aperture and look forward to testing how to get the best out of using it with PS Elements 6 (which is also very good)

I have Firefox 3.6.13 and I know that it needs updating but whenver I try it seems to go nowhere. Just keeps trying to update but never does. I have an iMac G5 with OS X 10.4.11. Can you help?

What more can I say? I am told that I need to update and when I try nothing happens. It keeps trying and trying. This has happened many times and I just give up on trying to update like it says I need.

Well yes your close. I got it from Egypt and i am in Egypt now, but vodafone (one of our carriers ) has implemented the use of facetime to its customers here. I guessed the same in the begninig but even if it didnt, since im not using a simcard is that supposed to matter anyways?
It is no where to be found on my ipod, i searched. Also it is not being restricted or anything.
And anyways im goin to the UK next month and staying for a while, would the icon automatically appear, since it comes pre-installed im guessing i wont be able to install it from a unrestricted country (if this was the case) since it is not installed on my ipod in the first place.

I've tried pressing the home and power button and it'll turn off and back on, and it will just show the silver apple.

Firefox Keeps trying to load pages

Hi I have been having problems with my firefox! its ok for the first 5 mins but then every website i have open in my tabs keeps hanging and trying to load and is still trying to load after a few hours (I did time it to see if they did load up) the sites i use are Facebook, Google and youTube but they just keep trying to load! I have done everything from completly remove FF and delets my profiles on there so there is a brand new install from scratch and the problem still happens! I also clear all my cookies and cache but that doas not help! I have disabled all my plugins and add-ons! i have searched for other options but nothing keeps coming up! Everytime I reboot my PC and fireup FF again it works ok for the first 5 mins but then it happens again! All my other browsers with the exception of Chrome works perfectly fine! I have just made a new clean install of FF with a new Profile and i just reinstalled my bookmarks on to it but again it still keeps hanging and trying to load the webpages again! Shared Library shows, but nothing comes up after Loading "name Library"

Have set up Home Sharing on my WIN 7 computers. I can go to my wife's computer, see my Library and all of the various type of Media. All good. When at my computer, I see her Library, but nothing comes up after the Loading wife's Library is display. It did work when I first set it up several months ago.

This morning, in now works. I have done nothing and neither computer were even turned off. there is obviously some instability in this feature. I guess you can't rely on it and you take your chances each time you use as to whether it will work.
It would be nice if somebody (or, in my wildest dreams, Apple) knew of something that could be changed in a setting or anything that would allow this feature to work consistently.
