You need to remove third party plugin and try launching. You should find it in plugins folder either here C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Plug-Ins or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins
Else try skipping the loading of thirdparty plugins like below:
   1. Close Elements.
   2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl/cmd + shift as you click Editor/Edit.
   3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message to skip loading of 3rd party plugins..Click yes and check.

Did you ever install and register it? If so, you can find the serial number by going to the main page of adobe.com and looking for My Adobe (it was up by the search box on the upper right the last time I looked, but it moves around). Work through the links there and you can retrieve it from adobe's records. You might want to consider writing it on the disc itself for future reference.

That is not necessary. Where are you being asked to do that?

My Photoshop 9 Stopped working I get the message "Elements 9 Organizer has stopped working"

My photoshop 9 program stopped working after using Adobe Premiere 9 to generate a slide show using Adobe Photoshop 9 organizer to place photos. The program crashed as I was attempting to burn a DVD. After this happened, I no longer could access the organizer in Photoshop 9. I get the message "Elements 9 organizer has stopped working" " A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you of a solution is found"
I tried unistalling Photoshop 9 and the problem remains.

Thanks for your suggestion. I checked the Epson web site and also their technical help, they gave me their latest driver (which didn't work) but also said there were some issues with Apple's Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4) and said I should get back to Apple. Not sure were this leaves me with Adobe Elements though - perhaps I should reinstall? Thanks again for your suggestion.

Have a DELL, run windows, on last windows update the editing feature of Adobe Elements went away. I get a run time EX error message when I try to open either editor HELP!

Anyone have ideas on how to correct this? I don't know what to look for to change in settings or in security systems?

I have no idea what an optimized computer means.
When I say 'either editor' I mean I can't use the Full or Quick editor,
they both produce the same message stream.

   Box pops up that is Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library with the
message:
    Runtime Error
    Program : C:\Program files
    THis application has requested the Runtime to terminate it is an
unusual way....
   PLease contact the application support team for more information
If I click the OK button then I get an Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 box that
pops up which says
"Elements 10 has stopped working"
I have no problem downloading images into the program or renaming files or
pulling images back out I just can't edit.

Premiere and Photoshop Elements Stopped working

Been using both for a year. Over the last couple weeks every time I would start one up I'd get the Adobe free trial or subscribe to the Cloud option. Finally, neither (of the paid for programs) would load. Nothing changed on my system. No new software. No other problems. If it just stopped working that would be one thing. The fact that I started getting the sign up screen to trial or subscribe right before it stopped working leaves one to wonder, doesn't it?

My Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit experiences were like yours much of last year. For me, Photoshop Elements 12 was months without resolution and each had its problems with Sign In.
1. I strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to click on License This Product if you get that tryout dialog popping up and then to follow the instructions to get the program activated. There is no escaping the Sign In which comes with an automatic registration. That is an easy and quick resolution.
2. Please review the the following to determine if you feel that these choices and continuing choices seem relevant to your situation

in January 2014 adobe photoshop elements purchased at i-tunes store. Always worked properly. Now since about a week, I can not start the program. After startup, he asks to sign up with my Apple ID, when I do this it gives the error message: Your device or computer could not be verified. Please contact support for assistance. Have already had contact with i-tunes store, this let me know that this is something for Adobe.

1. contact apple to resolve.
2. uninstall photoshop elements (pse), reinstall using a link below and your pse serial number. before uninstalling make sure you can download the correct version/language and you have your serial number available.

Can anyone tell me how to separate original photo files from the edited files in Photoshop Elements 13?

We run a child sponsorship program and we only use the edited files and delete the originals after they are edited due to space restrictions. We are using Mac's and we save our photo files each month into a folder (Not Iphoto) and then pull them into Photoshop Elements 13 to edit and resize. When they are saved, Photoshop Organizer saves the edited files in the same file folder as the original. We then have to manually go through and delete the original Photos. We tried exporting and that does only export the edited files, but is there any way to edit photos and then the edited photos go into a separate file?

Brushes in Photoshop CS6 stop working, what can be done?

Seems every day I am resetting my brushes in PS CS6 by shutting down the program and restarting it while holding the ctrl+alt+shift keys.
I work at a school so we are networked and I have a thoery that it may be a user profile setting for when the user logs onto the network only because this doesn't happen on my personal computer which has no network to log onto.
Sometimes I have to reset the brushes several times to get it working. And even after I do that after a few hours I may need to do it again, if the program was left on. My computer is hard wired to the network so it's not a wireless issue.
Anybody else having these issues? And what can be done about it?

Uninstalled and Re-installed with no luck. Win 7 pro.

It doesn't open. You get those crossbars for a few seconds then the word "Edit" reappears and nothing happens.

Cannot complete the editing function in Photoshop Elements 10

I can transfer files from the Organizer to the Editor, and complete editing, but when I Save it and try to close it, it fails and gives a message that it is only 95% complete. Nothing else happens. I cannot even delete the file which is only indicated by an hour gloass figure in the Organizer. Basically, I can't edit. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I've used Windows 8 for about a year. I do have a "watched folder" which
seems to function normally. I followed your suggestion to disable the
"watched folder" but the problem still persists. Some additional info that
might help . (1) When I open to the Organizer, it opens instead to the
Editor. But I can get to the Organizer that way. It just seems odd. (2)
The rogue files (only about 10 recently edited or created for a SS) are now
visible in the Organizer but only if I click on them at single rather than
multiple picture size. (3)I I tried to load a few "normal" pictures to
create a SS and the normal SS option has disappeared. The only option is a
pdf SS. I've always used the normal SS option with its creativity features.
I'm starting to think the best course might be to delete the current PSE 10
and download a fresh copy PSE 10. I'll need some guidance because when I go
to My Adobe where my Serial Numbers are, I can't find out how to download
PSE 10. I've got fairly recent PSE 10 BU file including TLY and BUC. If
you agree, I could use some guidance on how to proceed.

wait awhile as I just bought books for PSE 10 and PRE 10. My wife handles
finances and keeps me on a short leash.
