I'm AD in a project where we are building a simulation experience. It will be done with two big screens and will be build in a shape of a corner. The simulation will be about future transportation and roads. In the corner will be a person who will experience the difference between the future and the present. Simulation is made with still photos that I will mattepaint to present scenes from future.
The simulation is all about moving in the future. To make it as real as possible we shot a lots of photos approximately 50 meters from the next one to make a non breaking route from A to destination B. The person will be facing screen nr. 1. The second screen will be on his left side.
I want to bind all these photos in a video format to be able to sync sounds with the pictures. Sounds like electric cars passing by. What I'm planning is to do this in Adobe premier or After Effects. How would I do this? Can you point me to some practical tutorials that would help me in my project. I'm totally new to both program
I want two kind of effects to happen when next pair of pictures comes to the screens:
1) In the first screen I want the effect be like you would be going through the picture. Just like what is happening when you click next point in Google Maps Street view.
2) In the second screen I want the picture to pass by like in slide show with the direction from right to left.
With these effects I want the person to feel like he is walking in the future environment.

I have combined raw data, pictures and videos for screen 1. Tomorrow I'll start to search internet how I actually can combine two 1920*1080 canvases to make it video with 3840*1080 resolution. And how to set one video track to right and second video track to left half of the canvas. My goal is to be able to export the ready project to MPEG file that in conference only needed thing is to press <full screen> and video automatically fills both screen without distortion or what's so ever. AV installation team will take care of proper screen installation but I just have to make the video file suitable for 3840*1080 resolution.
Adding sounds is no problem anymore. I've watched several tutorials to be able to say I'm somehow familiar with premiere.
My worry is that I'm running out of time. This needs to be ready by Sunday.
Three things that I need to understand so I can call this a victory:
1) how to bind two 1920*1080 video canvases together and how to separate video tracks to effect different halves of the 3840 pixel-wide canvas
2) Make the walk-through effect
3) Make the slide effect.

we have changed a plant (#1234) master data it was under comapany code(12) now it is under comapny code(59) on the r3 side, now there is data in the cubes already which was loaded before the change, and we still want to use it, but since master data has changed and reloded, what will happen when i run reports on the old data,

i have changed the material price in 31/12/2010 and we are in period 01/2011
but the moving price doesn't changed in period 01/2011 its still the old price.
i want to know why the system didn't change the price for period 01/2011
and i want to change the price for now and all next periods.?

Hi,
you are using moving average price and not standard price.
You can change standard price thru costing run. you can't change moving average price it is calculated based on procurement. further you can change thru MR21 but beware it will generate revaluation entry that will have financial impact.
If you still has doubt then please elaborate the requirements.

What is the effect of changing the physical location of data files

Hello,
Here is the situation:
We have 2 physical hard disks (that's right - 2 separate disks). Their logical drives are respectively C: and D:.
We have an Oracle 9i2 database installed on the first disk C:. We have one database with datafiles on D:.
We want to replace the second disk (with the data files) with brand new one. So here is what we did:
1) We mount the disk and we named it drive F:
2) We stopped all Oracle services
3) We copied all data files from D: to F:
4) We remove the disk with letter D:
5) We renamed the disk F: to D:
So, now the new drive D: has identical structure as the old one.
Before starting the Oracle instance, I would like to ask: Is everything going to be OK when I start the service? Do we need to do something else?
As far as I know Oracle has internal addresses (ROWID) for the data so I think that changing the phisycal addresses of the files won't be a problem. Am I correct?

I think your database can not be opend in this case.
If you follow this method,you can move a datafile to a new address.
1.alter tablespace tablespacename offline normal.
2.move datafile to new folder as you did
3.alter tabespace tablespacename rename datafile 'old datafile including fullpath' to 'new datafaile including fullpath'
4.alter tablespace tablespacename onlin

What are the differences between CTRL/Slider protocol and MIDI CC?

recently I've purchased a korg nanokontrol and I've entered the mysterious world of CTRL/Slider protocol
As I am sure many of you know you can apply to the controller in question logic templates and usb drivers, or install the device directly in logic.. and boom the new CTRL/Slider option shows up in the control surfaces set up window.
I've not really fully understood what it does.
If you let your set up use it instead of your traditional midi ports, then the controller will control logic faders BUT will not send CC midi messages anymore, thus beacoming useless to control 3rd party virtual instruments.
Conversely a korg editor let you fiddle with what appear to be CCs but still, if logic is set up with CTRL and Slider as input and output ports, no joy with virtual instruments.
Am I misisng something or CTRL/Slider and 'traditional' Midi are mutually esclusive?

As soon as a control message is remapped to a *Controller Assignment,* that message is not sent to Logics' sequencer anymore. Which makes sense, because the controller would otherwise affect two parameters simultaneously, and that would make it almost useless, or you would need to configure extra (MIDI CC)filters.
And since you can remap that controller message to any automatable parameter in any plugin +and to+ any mixer parameter and almost all key commands, there really is no need to want to use MIDI CC for any of that.
...unless you have a third party plugin that has no or few automatable parameters, and can only be controlled by MIDI CC ( RealGuitar being an example).
How your controller specificly interacts (with its plugin and all) I don't know, but the principle that a MIDI control message remapped to track automation will no longer 'get to' Logics' sequencer applies anyway.

Before creating Test Scripts using eCATT, some system settings need to be done:
Maintain table T000.
1.      Go to transaction SM31
2.      Enter T000 and chose MAINTAIN.
3.      In the Change View Clients: Overview screen, select the relevant client and choose Details
4.      In the CATT and eCATT Restrictions field, select CATT and eCATT allowed.
5.      Click on SAVE.
Enabling scripting at the Front-end
1.      On any SAP GUI screen, choose Customizing of Local Layout.
2.      Choose Options

5.      Click Apply and then OK.

Effects of changing Customer Account Group

What can be the effects of changing the account group of a customer code?
The customer code that will be changed already have some transactions but we need to change the account group.

Firstly changes in the account group and all partner functions can be made from lower group to higher group e.g. Sold to Party cant be given a payer role as this role is an existing role for Sold to Party
However you can assign the Sold to party to a Payer ..hope this is clear so u can change only <b>Ship to , Bill to & Payer</b>
The only implication which i see is if the customer is created for more than one Company code/Sales Area its better to block the customer until the customer is maintained for all company codes.

No I am not having any specific problems at the moment. I may be upgrading to 2007 office and i want to make an assessment.

Hi Susin,
To change the authorization data for the transactions assigned to the role, choose Change Authorization Data or Expert Mode for Profile Generation.
If you are generating the profile for the first time, there is no difference between the two modes.
When you change a role, you must regenerate the authorization profile. In this case, the status of the profile generation is displayed red or yellow at the top of the Authorizations tab page.
If the status display is red, you must perform an authorization data comparison, since the menu was changed since the last profile generation or no authorization data exists.
If the display is yellow, the authorization data for the role was changed and saved after the last generation. The generated profile is no longer current. You need to regenerate it.
The significance of the three options that we get when we choose expert mode is as follows:
Choose one of the options to maintain the authorization values (in normal mode, the correct option is automatically set):
1> Delete and recreate profile and authorizations
All authorizations are recreated. Values which had previously been maintained, changed or entered manually are lost. Only the maintained values for organizational levels remain.
2> Edit old status
The last saved authorization data for the role is displayed. This is not useful, if transactions in the role menu have been changed.
3> Read old status and compare with new data
If you change transactions in the role menu, this option is the preconfigured. The profile generator compares the existing authorization data with the authorization default values for the menu transactions. If new authorizations are added during this process, they receive the status New. Authorizations that already existed receive the status Old.
Note the following during the comparison:
Values for organizational levels that are no longer required are deleted, all others are retained. If new organizational levels are added, you need to maintain them.
The standard authorization for the object S_TCODE is always automatically filled with the current transactions from the role menu. It cannot be copied or manually changed, only deactivated.

Slideshow in iPhoto - changing the theme for various slides to eliminate KB effect - doesn't "hold" through playback

I have made a couple of slideshows using iPhoto. I used the Ken Burns effect as a theme (using my own music). Many of the slides would not suit the KB effect (African animals) so I used the settings - change this slide to eliminate the KB effect for that slide - I also lengthened the duration that the slide played. I found that the effect I wanted for the slides would be correct for the Preview, but then it would revert to the KB effect upon playing the slideshow. Also, if I happened to move a slide to a different position, all the changes would have gone and I would have to repeat the exercise again! Very time-consuming and frustrating. Why won't the slides keep "their" instructions? Also, I have had iPhoto crash a few times while I am making changes.
Can anyone help me sort this out? I am presently exporting the latest slideshow to iTunes (and I've got my fingers crossed that all the changes I want are there)

NOt really. iPhoto is good for a quick and simple slideshow. For more complex work you need more powerful tools.
Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
iMovie is on every Mac sold.

It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

I'm new to keynotes and I have a lot of powerpoint presentations I'm trying to salvage. I can't get the slides to change on a click plus I can't find the way to change the "transition" time changes within each slide. Where can I find the answer

I'm new to keynotes and I'm trying to salvage several powerpoint presentations. I can't control my slide presentations by clicking to change slides and/or for transitions within the slides. I'm sure there's an answer but I can't find it. Can someone please give me directions.

to run a presentation using manual control:
Inspector > Document: set Presentation to Normal
many transitions set in PowerPoint are not available in Keynote; to set the transition options:
Inspector > Slide > Transition
select the effect you want and either choose auto or manual control

HT5067 When using a Keynote Widget with iBooks Author, do the transitions and builds between Keynote slides appear in the iPad preview version of the iBook, or only in the finished product?

I'm using the Keynote Widget in iBooks Author, and the Keynote presentation uses the Magic move transition between slides. When I preview the iBook on a new iPad, the Magic move transitions don't show up (i.e. the transition from slide to slide is standard, not Magic move). Any suggestions?

Hyperlinks and magic move should work but don't. However I found the following as a workaround for me. Use three slides instead of two to generate the magic move effect in Keynote presentations on Ibooks using hyperlinks only. As an example
Supose an object on slide 1 was set as a hyperlink to go to a slide which then had a magic move effect to a third slide. For some reason it works on the mac, but not on ibooks. However you can create the magic move transition effect by simply adding a "dummy slide" as follows. Suppose an object on slide 1 had an object which would hyperlink to slide 4. Duplicate Slide 4, and make the duplicate slide 5. Then set Slide 4 to automatically transition (with no effect) to the next slide (i.e. slide 5) after .5 seconds. Have Slide 5 set to transition to Slide 6 using magic move automatically after .5 seconds. By having the hyperlink point to slide 4 the magic move effect from Slide 5 to Slide 6 works fine (with a brief 1 sec delay). IF the hyperlink pointed directly to Slide 5, the magic move transition to slide 6 would not work.
For some reason having an extra slide makes magic move work even though it is not needed on the mac. I hpe this helps.

Changing slide duration times in the middle of slideshow

I'm making a slideshow with two different audio files that I've created into a soundtrack using garageband. Each song is about 3:30 in length. Here's my problem: The first song needs to match up with about 10-20 pictures. The 2nd song needs to match up with about 100 pictures. I need this to be one continuous slideshow (versus creating two seperate ones) as it is part of a presentation for a fundraiser and I need it to be timed right. Does anyone know of a way of changing the time between slides in the initial part of a slideshow and then speeding it up in the middle (i.e. 5 seconds for the first portion of the slideshow and then 2 seconds for the remaining portion of the slideshow)?
I'm using IDVD to create the slideshow but if anyone has a better idea please let me know

Have you considered creating your slideshow as a QT movie? ....otherwise you may be asking too much of a consumer app like iDVD6. Suggest staying within the following choices when working within iDVD6 slideshow durations:
