There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. You may want to double-check to make sure there are no typos in either the username or password as you entered it.

I can find no option to update the email address associated with this account. This is causing a problem since the Apple Support Communities ID that I use is different than my iTunes account name, but the email address for both is the same. it's causing all sorts of weirdness with Game Center, logging into this site with my iTunes account (errors out), etc.
I see no options in preferences ot update this account email address.

Well 99% there anyway. Now that I've successfully updated my email address, it asked me to merge the new email address as the login, which is fine, so I did that, but now I no longer see the option to edit the "Username" value.
What I'm trying to do here is to retire my username under this account, and take it on under my primary iTunes account. It won't let me do that while this old account has it reserved.

I am trying to change the email address associated with my existing account to free up my university email address for use in obtaining Creative Cloud. Every time I go to the account settings of my existing account (which currently uses my university email, as I set it up years ago and had no idea it'd eventually cause problems), I enter a different email to use for that account but I continuously receive an error message saying "account changes cannot be saved." It makes me think that it's because the email isn't verified (funny, it actually is verified since it has been the alternate email on the old account for years), but when I click the "send verification email" nothing happens (that is, no email is sent to that other email address).
Anyway, my university is now requiring that faculty create new accounts using our university email addresses in order to register/use Creative Cloud. Am I able to delete my old account, or can anyone help me actually change the email address associated with my old account without getting a "changes can't be saved" error?

If you're running iOS 6, to change your iCloud ID go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. i have forgotton the email address associated with my printer so cant login into my account and change the printers email address. when i hit forgotton password all the email addresses i try it wont recognise. i know my printer email address and my intial eprint code, can anyone help

Hi funkybeetroot,
Since there is no option to request "Forgot Username" on the ePrint login page, I would recommend to:
1. Remove Web Services from your printer
(On most printers, you can use the Remove Web Services option to disable all Web Services. This will remove the printer from your ePrintCenter account, delete all print apps settings and configuration data, and also delete your printer's ePrint email address/account and configuration/setup data.)
2. Create a new ePrint account using an email of your choosing.
3. Re-enable Web Services and setup ePrint on your printer by following the instructions HERE.
