The End for my trusty Apple Stywriter 2400...?

Hi All ---
Unless I'm mistaken, I think its the end for my trusty Apple Stywriter 2400....
The printer seems to only want to print horizntal, semi- colored and black lines >> simultaneously. no images or text.
Have tried the test page, and new cartridges - but the same applies.
Unless its the Canon BC21e print-head? Is that history?
Has anyone else experienced this?

ACTUALLY, THE STYLEWRITER 2400 IS A OLD, BUT TRUSTY PRINTER!!! I HAVE RAN ACROSS THIS PROBLEM NUMEROUS TIMES IN MY CAREER. IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE UNIT APART. ONCE YOU REMOVE THE PLASTIC MOLDING FROM THE FRONT OF THE UNIT, LOCATE THE SCREW ON THE SIDE THAT HOLDS THE ROUND METAL BAR THAT THE CARRIAGE FOR THE PRINT CARTRIDGE SLIDES ON. REMOVE THAT SCREW, AND THE BAR WILL COME OUT. SLIDE THE CARRIAGES OFF THE BAR. THERE WILL BE A BELT BEHIND THE CARRIAGE, JUST PULL IT OUT. ONCE THE CARRIAGE IS OFF THE BAR, ENSURE THE INK CARTRIDGE IS OUT OF THE CARRIAGE AND PLACE THE CARRIAGE INSIDE OF A BOWL OF WATER, AND ALLOW IT TO SOAK FOR ABOUT 24 HOURS. THIS WILL LOOSEN UP ANY DRY INK THAT IS IN THE CARRIAGE. THIS HAPPENS OVER TIME, AND I HAVE SEEN IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN. jUST PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND IT WILL WORK LIKE ITS BRAND NEW!!!! DON'T SWEAT THE TEAR APART AND PUT TOGETHER, ITS RATHER SIMPLE.

    Many newer cameras have the Micro USB cable you can use.
    Otherwise, you will need to buy one to restore your Apple TV.

    Which apps remain compatible will be up to the individual developers who sell those apps. There will be no further iOS updates, but those aren't really necessary to continue to use and enjoy your device. I still have an iPad 1 running on iOS 5, and it is fully functional.
    The App Store has an app called VintApps 3.1.1 that is specifically geared toward iOS 3.1, however, you would probably be able to run most of those apps on your iPod, and considering that there will be a rather large market for iOS 6 apps users, it is not likely that you will see a significant reduction in choices any time soon.
    It is not the end for the device in any sense except that it is at it's ultimate iOS level. And again, I have an iPad that is at it's ultimate iOS level (iOS 5), and I get new apps all the time that work for both my iPad and my iPhone that runs iOS 6.1.1

    Easiest way with an Apple is to drag the item to be ejected to the trash, which then turns into the eject symbol.  Some Apple keyboards also have av eject key, the triangle on top of a horizontal bar.  You can also eject a DVD/CD by restarting and holding the mouse in the click position.

  • TS5223 Updated to iOS8. I don't remember the password for my old Apple ID or the password for that e-mail. I can't delete the iCloud account without knowing it, although my iTunes and everything else is set to the new Apple ID and password. Help?!

    I keep getting pop-ups telling me to sign in to my iCloud and it's very annoying. I have no idea what the old password was, and I don't really have a way of changing the old password because I also don't know my password for the e-mail address connected to it (it kept telling me that the answers to my security questions were wrong, but I'm not sure what other answers they would have been). Therefore, I created an entirely new e-mail and a new Apple ID and everything else is set to that ID... except iCloud. Is there any way to correct this, or am I out of luck?

    If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID*, do the following:
    Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
    Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
    * If that's not the case, you'll have to contact the Apple account security team and ask for assistance resetting the password for the old ID: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security.  You'll have to be able to prove your identity to them before they will do this.

    If the old ID is not an older version of your current iCloud ID, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance resetting the password, either by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password, or by contacting the Apple account security team: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

    This is part of the message since you cannot post such a long message in posting.
    This should show how lost you might be with your warranty. If you install the Firmware Upgrade .8.02 your player might be useless. There is no way to make it work again. Not really. If you understand what Creative seems not to do. So dear user - buy a new player. If you want to know what the solution is to make your player work again post here. If there are enough postings I will explain it here. Too sad that Creative does not do it. It is their job not mine... But again - I am not talking about a problem what is nice to have it solved. I am talking about a player that does not work anymore. If you do not want to wait for my solution just send your player for repair - it was not your fault that it does not work anymore...
    This story with the great support was a test of Creative and will be used in a review. So be not surprised to find it somewhere else.
