The endless message telling me that I've turned off cellular data for a given app is driving me crazy

Like many of you I don't have an unlimited data plan anymore. So I've chosen to turn off the ability for some things to download anything unless it's on WiFi. In spite of this the d@#ned phone keeps telling me that I need to turn on cellular dat for "pick the app". I'd wish the phone would shut up and just work. Wait a mnute! Wasn't that one of the original slogans Apple had?

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm considering wiping it and setting it up as a new device.

I have ios 7 and lately when i go to settings-cellular and try to turn off cellular data for some apps it doesnt work. As i turn off cellular data for one app immideately after i exit settings and re-enter settings cellular data for that same app goes back on again by itself. That happens for most of my apps and is reqlly annoying. Whats more annoying is that when i am not using wifi even though the settings for cellular data for safari or facebook or some other app are turned on (since i cant turn them off as i mentioned) i get the message that cellular data is turned off for this app and i cant use the internet at all on cellular data. On my iPad mini, I tried turning off cellular data for specific apps, but when I exit the settings, they're automatically turned back on. This is ridiculous because I can't turn the Cellular data on without it CONSUMING my 1% of remaining data

With Airplane Mode you will not receive phone calls. If you are just worried about Data Charges then just go to Settings>Cellular>Data 'Off' This may also turn your iMessage off such that all your iMessages even in a WiFi environment go out as Text Messages. If you still want to use iMessage from Apple device to Apple device in a WiFi network then go to Settings>Messages> and turn it back on after you have set Cellular Data to Off. Ckuan is correct though about having some per minute received or outgoing call and text charges. For one example, if you were traveling in Canada but didn't have a Canada Plan you would pay about 89 cents per minute and 50 cents per send / receive Text.

Exact same question as ankit1986, specifically with the photos while on cellular-only, and as simple as it sounds, I tried the hard reboot Ingo2711 suggested. Still experiencing the same error with the native apps reverting to on. It's killing our shared data-plan (2GB).

If you turn off Cellular Data you are unable to use hotspot.
But you can turn on Airplane Mode and them turn on Wifi, then you can use Wifi wherever you are with Wifi connection. But remember, if you turn on Airplane mode, it automatically turn off your Wifi, so you need to trun on it again,

Try to reset your iPhone:
Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset All Settings
You will need to rejoin all wi-fi and/or bluetooth connections
You will need to set up your settings of your choice.
Information (such as contacts and Calendars) and meida (such as music, videos, apps) are NOT affected.

I deleted all of my photos and even turned off backup data for icloud, but it still says that i am using 4 gigabytes of photos storage.

I was going through my phone trying to get more storage because i only had 90 megabytes left. So i saw that i had 4.7 gigs of photos on my phone. I backed up all of my photos onto my PC, and then deleted them off of my phone. But it still said that i had 4.7 gigs of photos. General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as MAC Data Recovery, Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive. Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk. Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Recovery software usually provide trial versions that enable you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond this or if the drive has completely failed, then you would need to send the drive to a recovery service which is very expensive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

Recover Files in The Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.

2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install.

Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so probably you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data, if you don't already ''totally'' uninstall firefox(user data and settings like bookmarks, extensions, etc. located here: ~Library/Application Support/Firefox so you must uninstall it separately, to totally uninstall firefox).

Where the apps are:
If you click on the icon in the browser that look like a rocket bar, it should take you to your apps in the Market place. On the [https://marketplace.firefox.com/] page, click on the gear in the top right and click on My Apps. (if you are not logged in, you can login first then click on My apps)

When you install the new iWork version, the old iWork version is kept, so it looks like you are opening your old version.
To fix this, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Numbers version to the Dock, so you can access to it quickly. Open all documents from this version. I don't recommend you to delete the old Numbers version in case you need it.

I had the developer preview installed. Never had to update to the release version of the OS. Now, the preview has expired, and I cannot use my phone because my iTunes reads my OS as being current, but my iPhone cannot active. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

And yes we do not have disagreement about "official apple developers". Problem is that Apple screwed our devices because we are "official apple developers" and did effort to stop us getting proper help. I unbricked my ipad and iphone thanks to unofficial help. Thank you who wrote this unofficial help and "no thanks" for apple for ruining my access to my devices. My mistake was assuming that "update" button on my devices works. It did not because it always told "Your device has latest IOS6 installed" until it bricked yesterday.
If Apple does not want to listen us, continue do delete post, blame us installing your software and yes we stop buying your devices and developing for them.

If the email address you want to use is being used as the primary email address on a different ID you have to manage that ID and change it to a different primary email address. This explains how: Change your Apple ID - Apple Support.
