The extension package is invalid. The extension will not be
installed.
When attempting to download and install extensions from the
Dreamweaver extensions listed at the Adobe Dreamweaver Extension
page I receive this message.
Any solution?
I am running Dreamweaver 8 on a PC. The OS is Vista. Don't
tell me Vista is at fault. It will occasionally install an
extension just fine. Most of the time it won't.

Occasionally? I think you have your answer. Dreamweaver 8
came out a year
before Vista did. Many of the extensions on the Exchange may
not even
support 8 .. many of them do. Make sure 8 is supported in the
extensions
you are trying to install. As for Vista .. I don't have it so
it's hard for
me to comment. I have seen enough however that I'll probably
wait at least
a year and let them put out a better version before I take
that plunge.

Just phoned my service provider, the operator I spoke with has the same phone as mine and she said that when I am entering the codes that when I get to the + sign I should just hold it down and it will change to the + sign, but mine doesnt. Mine gives me 3 choices, 1. add new contact 2. add existing contact, 3. cancel.
It doesnt matter how long I hold the + sign down for

I have downloaded some extensions, for DW CS5, t be installed via Exchange Manager. They are downloaded as Adobe zip files with the *.zxp extension but, everytime I try and install one I get the above error dialog. Any ideas anyone please?

If Adobe gave you the extension as a .zip file, then you can unpack this (separately from Dreamweaver) and put the files in a folder of your site, upload the files on your serer with Dreamweaver and access the gallery folder (index page). e.g: www.example.com/gallery/
For the Free PHP Gallery also look at the readme.txt file inside the zip file. -

I need to call some native code from the CS extension using the NativeProcess API.
Is there any way to distribute a native executable file inside the extension package?
It looks like there is a way to include an "ordinary" file into a hybrid extension, however the file has to be installed into one of pre-defined locations (such as "$applicationsupport").
The problem is that in order to create a NativeProcess object in the extension code, I need to know the exact path of the executable, and I can't seem to find a way to find out where exactly the executable was placed by the extension installer.
Is there a way to install an executable into the extension folder (which I can get using CSXSInterface.getInstance().getSystemPath(APPLICATION))?

Yep, the answer depends on how you're packaging your extension.
If you're using Extension Builder, you just need the executable to be automatically copied to the bin-debug folder during the build process. The simplest way to achieve this is to put the executable underneath the src/ folder. Another option is to make your own resources/ directory and add it to the project source path (see the section "Adding resource folders to the project source path" here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/UsingFlashBuilder/WS6f97d7caa66ef6eb1e63e3d11b6c4ce74 9-7fd8.html). Once you've got it copying to the bin-debug folder you're set, you can launch or export as usual and your executable will end up in the extension folder.
If you're using ucf.jar, just make sure that your executable is in the extension folder you're packaging.
You shouldn't need to create a hybrid extension in order to have a CS extension that uses NativeProcess. -
Error message: Package contains invalid characters installing patchlevel 6
Dear experts:
I have successfullly installed SAP GUI 7.20 compilation 2, using SAP installation server (40 machines, Windows XP sp3 32 bits, latest updates).
I have successfully installed patchlevel 6 in the SAP installation server. (gui720_6-10007878.exe, downloaded from SAP Portal)
SAP GUI is configured to search for updates after 5 double-clicks on desktop icon. I forced the 5 double-clicks on a test machine and the patch begins to install; then informs me that there is a pending reboot.
When I reboot the machine a SAP Netweaver Front-end installer window appears with the error: "/Package contains invalid characters like /*?"<>\" - "Your system has a pending reboot". If I reboot again the message is displayed again.
If I click on the "Cancel" button of this window, Windows XP continues booting and SAP GUI works fine.
Two questions:
How can I avoid the installation of this patch on all the machines?
What can be wrong?

Uruguay - South America.1.) To avoid the installation on all clients simply go to "Services -> Configure Automatic Workstation Update Service" in the SAP Installation Server Administration Tool and disbale the service. If this doesnt work you can delete the package on the installation server an create a new one with the same name. You can than patch the package to the patchlevel you want.
2.) Try to apply patch 6 Hotfix 2 and see if the problem remains. -

I can generate AWR report for last 7 days...Try using a flashback query, like this:

I try again here, since we got no further and this message is becoming a show-stopper for us.
We have a simple app-file and build a package from this with Productbuilder only using
productbuild --component 'INtex Fahrtenbuch AS.app' --sign '3rd Party Mac Developer Installer: INtex Publishing GmbH & Co. KG' 'InstallationINtexFahrtenbuchAS.pkg'
Furthermore we checked for extended attributes everywhere with
ls -lad@ *
and removed any with
xattr -d -r com.apple.FinderInfo *
xattr -d -r com.apple.ResourceFork *
Packaging with Product Builder went fine and installation test with sudo was no problem.
Still we can´t upload our installer to iTunes connect. Message is once again but this time only:
The product archive is invalid. The installer package may not include paths outside of a bundle.

I little confuse about build ANE, I already follow all the direction, but the error always #3500 when I try to call the ANE.
I create ANE using java android.
The tools I use : Flash Builder running on Win-64 win.7. I think I must straight to the point, here what i made it first step by step;

After I create it, I copy the .swc file and extension file sample with the Sample.jar file.

I think that is a problem. You launch your application on Windows but ANE haven't got Windows-x86 implementation (also you don't include it while packaging). So your application use default implementation. But default implementation don't use any native code and cannot use ExtensionContext. And you got error.
If you don't need Windows-x86 native implementation than you need implement default implementation that different than Android-ARM. You don't need to use ExtensionContext in default implementation.

How can I convert an Excel (2008) document to Numbers. When I drag the Excel document onto the Numbers icon I get, "Import error. The file format is invalid.
That extension identifies the most current Excel file format, a format that can be opened by Numbers '09 (and by Numbers '08).
A check with Numbers '09 shows it capable of opening .xlsx files when right-clicked (and Numbers chose as the application to open, when double-clicked (if Numbers has been set as the default application to open this type of file, or when dragged to the Numbers icon in the dock.
I see two possibilities for Numbers inability to open it and the message you receive:
1. The file is not actually an Excel file, and the sender has added the .xlsx extension to the filename manually.
2. The file is an Excel file, but has somehow been corrupted.
Have you tried opening the file with a different application? The open source Office suites, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice and NeoOffice can also open .xlsx files. If they're unable to open this one, that would point toward the file itself being faulty. You can download these applications from their rspective websites, linked in the names above. All request a donation to support future development, but only Neo requires one to have been made recently, and that only for the current release (which won't be necessary to open .xlsx files).

I have a requirement in which I have to copy the file name (not the text inside file ) from one folder/dir to another folder/dir with some another extension.

I updated my pages app on my ipad and when I tried to open a document it says the file format is invalid. None of my documents are opening pleaser help!!!!
Try this. It worked for me.
I discovered the same problem. I had an older version of Pages on my iPad. After updating it to the latest version all my previous documents created in pages for the iPad were rendered unreadable and a message stated that they were an invalid format. Why for the life of me would a program that was created by Apple and sense updated not be able to read previous versions...well that's a whole other sad story. Any way I discovered how to fix it but it would require that you had backup your iPad on a computer and not emptied your trash. If this sounds good than here is how you fix it... And it worked for me.
These steps will enable you to reinstall a previous version of the Pages app so you can be able to read and edit older documents.
FIRST: if you did backup your iPad using your computer and did not empty your trash, GOTO the trash and look for PAGES 1.4 (or other number) ipa ( that's the file extension) ie PAGES 1.4 ipa.
SECOND: move that file out of the trash and onto your desktop. Once you do this, double click on it and a box will come up stating a newer version has been found and do you want to revert back to older version. ANSWER YES. It will than automatically place and overwrite the older version back into the file on iTunes that contains the rest of your backed up apps.
THIRD: and this is where it is important that your backup would have to have been on your computer. I'm not sure if backup on the cloud will work. iCloud backup at your own risk And here's why. Before you restore you will need to remove the latest version of Pages off your iPad by doing the usual : holding down the home button until the apps wiggle and remove by pressing on X on app. Removing off your iPad will also delete all your documents but if you have a previous backup on your computer those documents will be stored safely on itunes and will return.
FORTH: plug your iPad into your computer and allow it to sync so iTunes will recognize it. Once iTunes is up and you can see that it recognizes your iPad, GOTO "FILE/DEVICES/RESTORE FROM BACKUP." ******* DO NOT CLICK ON BACKUP***** click on RESTORE FROM BACKUP. This will reinstall all previous settings and documents that were their when you backuped PLUS the older version of Pages that you placed back from the above steps. Let it run through all the setups ( this could take up to 20 minutes...depending on amount of data and photos and apps).
FIFTH: Once everything is reinstalled a message will popup on your computer stating "to leave iPad plugged in until iTunes recognizes it again" ( it's basically rebooting itself). Once done (leave iPad plugged in still) GOTO iPad and follow the steps. IMPORTANT: iPad will ask you if you want to SET IT UP AS A NEW IPAD, BACK UP FROM THE CLOUD or BACK UP FROM ITUNES.....press SET UP AS NEW IPAD. Follow all of the steps required. Once complete GOTO iTunes on computer, look for "IPAD" plus a little arrow ( should be on upper right corner of iTunes window, click on it ( this will safely disconnect your iPad from iTunes) . Now unplug iPad from computer and go to your iPad and look for the older version of Pages. It should be there along with all your old documents ( readable and editable too).

Process flow fails to complete when another in the same package is deployed - OWB 11.2.0.2

I have problem with OWB Process Flows whereby whenever I deploy a process flow within an existing package, another Process Flow becomes (unknown to me) invalid and will not complete execution.
When deploying the first process flow, I am synchronising all mappings within it, saving, validating and saving again before deploying it. This process flow then functions ok but then a random process flow within the same package malfunctions. By this I mean the process flow does not complete, as if it has lost some connectors. Has anybody else had this problem?HI Richard,

Yes I agree with your answer but sadly this does not seem to be the cause of the problem in my case as I always stop any running processes and double check with the list_requests.sql as provided and where necessary execute the deactivate_execution.sql and/or abort_exec_request.sql only if absolutely required. Finally I check again with list_requests.sql and if necessary run in the OWF_MGR schema: WF_PURGE.TOTAL and/or the following sql (again only if required) :

Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
So the problem i'm getting is if i'm righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime :(
Have u ever tried to do some things like this?
