The eye icon on my layers are not turning off and on. why is this?
I use Photoshop CC. Here is what I did:
I first did a duplicate layer of the background and did a high pass filter on it, I then opened a new layer with a visible stamp on it and did some clamp tool changes and some patch tool changes and some dodge and burn changes, I then opened another new layer with a visible stamp on to blur my background. Following that I did a few new layers (without the visible stamp) to add some definition to my subject's eyes and grouped them. Now when i try and see what my photo looked like before, by switch the eye icon off, it doesn't work. Why is this??
If you made changes only above the background layer ans did not change the background layer when you turn the visibility of the layers above the background off you should see your original image. Some screen captures showing the steps and layer stack in the layers palette would be helpful. A stamp visible layers layer will cover what in layers below make sure all layers above the background have their visibility icon off. So only the background layer is displayed.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

My ipod naaIno is stuck in the lock position, my hold switch will not turn off even when I move it. I have tried restoring it and resetting it and it still comes back on in the hold/locked postion. It will only play when placed on a docking station and then I cant scroll to pick songs, I can only go to next song using buttons on docking station.
You will need to have the hold switch replaced.

I need to repair my start up disc so I have to start up from installation disc. In doing so, my computer restarts, I hear the mac sound, then a grey screen and then turns off and goes on in this cycle endlessly. Why can't I restart from disc?

Hi I just upgraded software through iTunes then unplugged iPhone now it is stuck on the connect to intunes screen, it won't turn off and iTunes and my computer won't recognize my phone? Please help
My phone is doing the same thing. My computer acknowledges that I have connected my iPhone 4, however, iTunes will no longer connect or sync to my iPhone 4. I have uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour and all Apple products from my pc. I have re-installed them back on. I have reset my phone. I have emptied my temp folder. I have done everything. If my iPhone cannot update and sync with iTunes then I may as well get another phone from somewhere else. I am disappointed that I cannot resolve this issue.

I can not perform software updates or download any programs. They appear in the download box as images that are "not recognized". I thought maybe my antivirus software was setting up a firewall, but I have disabled it, so that's not the case. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''scan''' and pause while the list is filtered

Macbook air's fan not turning off and it will not sleep when the lid is closed?
I downloaded OS X Mavericks yesterday.The fan will not turn off. It runs whenever i turn on the computer. The computer does not turn off when i close the lid, and the fan still runs. There is also no battery icon anymore on my home screen. Is this just a bug with Mavericks? My computer is a mid 2012 edition.

My iPad will not turn off. I have done the off/sleep key home button procedure.
Just to be perfectly clear, when you reset the iPad by hod,ing down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen, that is a way of resetting the system and restrating the device. If you want to shut down, you still have to hold down on the power button until the slider appears and then slide to the right to shut the iPad off.
IS this what you are doing and if so what happens when you try to shut down? Describe what happens in detail. -
