The front-facing camera is available for use even without FaceTime. If you are having issues with your front-facing camera, I suggest troubleshooting the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I tried all the suggestions: changed the DNS, changed location, changed date and time...etc. Nothing worked. I had to create a new apple ID to use for iMessage and FaceTime. This was a bit of a hassle too. I had to create three or four new apple IDs until one of them worked. This issue has nothing to do with the new iOS update. I mean it is also present with iPads and iPhones that run on iOS 5.1.1. I recently bought my niece an iPad which was running on iOS 5.1.1, same issue there. This means that the problem is in Apple's verification servers. This is something they have to fix. The ball is in their court now.
I am a big apple fan and I spent thousands of dollars on different apple products. Things like these really **** me off. You reach a point where you can't defend Apple anymore.
Folks: we should protest. A facebook page maybe????? Who knows!.

My apple tv does not work. only apps showing is computer and setting. I did not update my apple tv. just turned it on and all the apps weren't there.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.
