The FAT32 parition i created in windows vista is not shown in Leopard
I installed Vista(NTFS 110 GB on HD) using bootcamp through leopard(50GB on HD) and i booted through vista in my macBook and shrinked my vista partition to 60GB and created two FAT32 partitions of size 25GB through disk management of vista.
when i booted my macBook through leopard, i see only the mac parition and vista partition. I dont see the two FAT32 partitions i created throgh vista.
please let me know how to solve this problem.
Format the drive into the number of partitions you need, and create 3 DOS and one HFS+ it sounds like.
Use Vista to reformat one to NTFS.
I had the same thing happen when creating and deleting but not resizing partitions that some won't show up if created in Vista.
Could you be a little more specific on the above process please? I would love to do exactly what was accomplished in this post but am sort of new at this whole thing, in fact I just wiped out my OSX side of things trying to do this myself before I read this post.
Did you create the DOS partitions using Vista's drive manager?
Was Vista installed in the first place using the normal Boot Camp procedures?

Go to command Prompt -

In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I have the iphone 4 and PC with Windows Vista Basic. When I bought my iPhone syncs with iTunes on my computer, but now when I try to sync it tells me that Mobile Device Service was closed and I can not synchronize the phone. Try restarting Mobile Device Service and uninstall and reinstall Itunes but still giving me the same error.

I am trying to load the 64 bit version of iTunes on to my PC but it continues to fail. My Pc is running Windows XP x64 edition. The rrror message states I need Window Vista 64 or later. What should I do?
There is no version of iTunes that truly supports the 64-bit version of Windows XP and never will be. If you search this forum for "XP 64" or do a web search for something like "iTunes Windows XP 64", you'll find threads describing the process some people have used to "crowbar" iTunes onto XP 64, with varying levels of success, none of them complete.

I installed the CC trial with an error window saying: Could not create the file '/Users/dranim/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/13.2/dummy'. That was the first window. Heres the second: After Effects can’t continue: unexpected failure during application startup I paid for the month subscription of 29.99. It claims it is downloading again?! Am I missing something here? Why is this process so complicated? I need to get this resolved asap and start working.
I originally had Adobe Photoshop Extended, then upgraded to the Production Suite. I ran the Adobe Cleaner, and that uninstalled most Adobe products, including my existing Adobe install, and then I re-installed everything with the same error code. Since CS4 came with CS5, I've installed AE CS4, but would really like to upgrade because I'm new to Creative Suite, and not sure how CS4 integrates with CS5...CS4 After Effects installed perfectly. I do have a 64 bit system, and installing to an OCZ Vertex 2....every other suite installs perfectly, except AE. And I think that is the coolest program in the Suite. I thank you all so much for taking the time to help, I really want to get AECS5 running...I did try to install after doing the recommended items Adobe suggests for Exit Codes 6 and 7, including turning off many startups...

I downloaded the iCloud app to my PC (Windows Vista with Service Pack 2). But when I try to launch the app from the start menu, I'm getting an error message that says "Unable to launch due to side-by-side configuration". What do I need to do?
Sounds like a Windows issue. Google the error message. There are several discussions on the Microsoft forums listed that may help.

You can follow the article: How to troubleshoot issues that may prevent a program from being installed correctly on a Windows Vista-based computer and check whether the installer is running in Compatible Mode or not.
If the check box for Compatibility Mode is checked and simply UnCheck it and click Apply.
Run the installer and again and check if it still gives you any error message.
Let us know if it works or not.

Windows Vista does not see my Ipad but it always did prior to this attempt
Windows Vista does not see my Ipad, this is a new problem and I have not made any major changes to either my computer or to my Ipad. I am running Vista 64 as an operating system. I get the message that windows has an unrecognized USB device. I checked to see if the Apple Mobility software is running and it was, I reset it, turned off the computer, soft reset the Ipad but still no luck.

Windows vista do not start.
I have tried starting in the different safe mode, none works (after the loading bar it all just becomes black), also tried start repair it just says that start repair can not fix the error. I have check if I could restore it to a previus state when it work, but it seems like it hasnt save any for some reason. . I have done diagnostic test on the hardware and everything seems to be fine. Probably some virus.
Can I still reinstall the windows without overwriting every personal file? I can not see any option of just reinstall the window only, not the the hardrive. Can I do this in bios maybe? To me you should be able to reinstall just windows and nothing else. It is ok, if the the virus is still there after I have reinstall just windows, what I want to do is save some files, so if I can only come in the computer for 5 min, that is all I need.
I have read that you maybe can save files with downloading linux and load the computer with that to get access to the files. But I do not have a seperat computer with dvd or usb stick. All things can be fix, but it will both cost money and is a little bit of a hassel, for something then maybe not even work in the end.Your options a limited here.
Should you wish to save your files you will have to put the hard drive in an external hard drive caddy and plug it into the USB port of another computer to transfer your files.
Once done, put the hard drive back into your computer and perform a factory restore which will return your computer to it's original state as when you got it. You will have to reinstall your programs and data files.
Please mark my post as SOLVED if it has resolved your problem. It helps others with similar situations. -
i'm trying to load photoshop elements 12 on my mac os x and when i click setup.exe i get : You can’t open the application “Setup.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. The premiere elements 12 out of the same box loaded just fine.
An .exe file means you have the windows version. Go get the mac version:

whever i try to access websites, most of them work but facebook, youtube, my school email, sometimes even google, and alot other websites wont work for me and will tell me i need to update the lastest Flash Player. but when i try to download it, it says 'You can’t open the application “setup.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X.' what does that even mean?? Your Office 2011, though a Microsoft product, is designed to work with OSX the Mac operating system. Any program/application ending .exe is an executable program for Windows. It will only work in Windows and is not part of or openable with Microsoft Office.
the application you want to open needs Windows - you have a couple of alternatives:
Open it on a Windows PC
Install a valid version of Windows via Bootcamp (or Parallels or VM Fusion) which will allow you to boot your Mac into Windows where it will function like a Windows PC and you can use it to run the application.
See if the manufacturers of MFI_Simulator have a Mac version available.
Please note that if you follow the second option, then you will need to purchase a copy of Windows (if you do not have one already). BootCamp is free (part of OSX) but Parallels and VM Fusion cost too. I see quite a few posts from people who buy Parallels and try to run the program under Parallels - this doesn't work - you need to install Windows as well.
