The feature "Mentions" in Facebook does not work and in fact no drop down menu even appears, although it does work in IE.

Didn't know that I'd have the chance to say more so I pretty much summed it up in the first question. lol! Hopefully all are familiar with the "Mentions" feature on Facebook. It allows you to "tag" a friend when you comment on a post or make a post. The process is that you type "@" and then the first letter of the friend you want to tag, and a drop down appears with all friends starting with that letter. Choose your friend and then make your comment. Their name will not appear in your comment but they will get a notification that it was directed at them.
My problem is that it simply doesn't work in Firefox although it works fine in IE & Chrome. This seems to only be my problem as others using Firefox are having no problem. What could it be? Thanks!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Nav bars rollover stops working when there is a drop down menu

I am making a navigation bar bar that has about 5 links on it
all with rollovers. Their is one rollover that uses a drop down
menu. That rollover doesn't give me a rollover just a drop down. I
want to have both happen.
Also does anyone know how to keep the rollover in the down
state? I want to make it easy for the user to know where they are
in the site by just glancing at the nav bar.

Add a swap image behavior to the button you want to rollover.

Remove the normal state button image from the linked in page.

Detail region does not refresh when selecting from a drop-down list in master region

I am using DW CS3 and have updated to version 1.6.1 of Spry. Using an XML dataset, I am able to create a Spry table as the master region that links to a detail region that displays a small JPG graphic. It works fine in this format (clicking on a row displays the correct graphic). However, my table has 80 rows and requires the user to do too much scrolling. So I changed the master region to a drop-down repeat list, but the graphic does not change when a new selection is made in the drop down list. Listed below is the code produced when I used the insert Spry Repeat List. I got the same results when adding a spry:setrow="dsChartNurse". I also tried -- onclick="dsChartNurse.setCurrentRow('{ds_RowID}');" -- which again made no difference.
When I removed children from the spry:repeat, the master region displayed as a two column list of all 80 items in a drop-down list format.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did solve the problem I was having by changing from onclick to onchange in the master region. But, now I have another problem with, of course, IE. I just put in online at http://www.minursemap.org/ageDistNurse.html. When opened in IE, the drop down list displays the last entry, but the image is for the first in the list. The drop down menu on my laptop isn't working on any of the sites i go to

I have window 7 about 2 weeks ago I was having trouble accessing drop down window. I could click on the arrow and it was flickering and then would go away. It happened with every website I went to. Is there a way to change the date format so that delegates have to choose a day, month and year from a drop down menu as my delegates keep forgetting to change the year of their information

When my delegates are filling in a event form i have put together, a large number of them forget to change either the month or year on the date field. Is there a way to have a date field that has drop down boxes for day, month and year so they have to choose rather than a date been already on the screen??

The WEEKDAY function allows specifying either Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week:
WEEKDAY
The WEEKDAY function returns a number that is the day of the week for a given date. WEEKDAY(date, first-day)
Â date: The date the function should use. date is a date/time value. The time portion is ignored by this function.
Â first-day: An optional value that specifies how days are numbered.
Sunday is 1 (1 or omitted): Sunday is the first day (day 1) of the week and Saturday is day 7.
Monday is 1 (2): Monday is the first day (day 1) of the week and Sunday is day 7. Monday is 0 (3): Monday is the first day (day 0) of the week and Sunday is day 6.
But I think you are referring to the first day of the 'workweek', for which I do not see a means of defining a custom value.
Since you want to 'insert categories', though, you could easily define your own, using WEEKDAY(date) or WEEKDAY(date,1), plus an IF statement to return the category label appropriate to the day. Here's one for a Sunday to Thursday work week. Dates are in column A, the formula is in whichever column you want as the Category column. For the example, I've placed it in column B.
B2, and filled down: =IF(WEEKDAY(A)<6,"Work","Off")
The top table shows the weekday numbers returned for each day of the week for each of the three permitted values for the optional second argument. The bottom table shows the results from the formula above, used to define a category label for each date:
A10 was left blank intentionally, to determine if the lack of data resulted in an error. The Warning message, flagged by the blue 'warning' triangle, is "The formula uses a number in place of a date." The 'date' assigned to this numerical value of zero was a Friday, but I'm not certain when. Probably best to avoid extra rows with no date shown.

Help with IE drop down menu stretching across page, Chrome & Firefox work perfectly.

I have set up a spry menu in my page. file:///C:/Users/Kim/Documents/PQH_xhtml/index.html
Everything works great in Chrome and Firefox. Just not in IE. The only problem I am having is in IE the drop down menus stretch out all the way across the page.
I have tried changing the width, but it messes up Chrome and Firefox. Just need IE to shorten up the width of sub menus.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

I cannot see my bookmarks toolbar - the gap is there for it and it is ticked in View and shows in Booksmarks drop-down menu but is invisible (or gone so far to left that it can't be got at), I think it happened after I added eBay sidebar for Firefox.

Any help welcome. I have tried just re-starting Firefox and I have tried adding bookmarks to it, but still can't see it.

This issue can also be caused by a missing "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
* Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button

I want to bookmark a page I click star or right click. I pick bookmark menu as it has all my folders, however, my only "folder" options are the same five, even if I pick "choose" it doesn't give me ALL my folders to "choose" from, I've mess with this for a year now, the only way to get my page into a "folder" that I want but wasn't given the option in the "bookmark this page box" is to bookmark it (not in a folder-because I don't want the choices given to me) then go to "organize bookmarks", find page and drag it into the "folder" I wanted it to go in in the first place......I'm sooo frustrated, why can't ALL the folders you have show up and then pick one? WHY ONLY a few show up as choices...sigh

Your menus look fine on my system, too. It is possible that your user is working on a system with javascript turned off, either on her own computer or, if she is in a company, turned off by the network administrator. Ask her how she is viewing your website...laptop, desktop, smartphone, tablet, etc., to help you pinpoint what your solution will be.
     If her javascript is turned off (not to be turned on...), one strategy around this is to create pages linked to your top level menu items. On those pages, you can make text links (not dropdowns) to the menu items that show on the drop-downs. This could be paired with the next idea, as a sort of belt-and-suspenders solution.
    A less obtrusive way: Add a secondary, substitute text menu that only appears when javascript is turned off by using <noscript> </noscript> tags around the secondary menus.
     Be wary of solutions that require you to tell different users different things.

I guess there is problem in front end, ie in tx. 'sfp' .
What is the javascript/formcalc code I need to add here for my 2nd drop down menu.

Drop Down Menu List Not Visible

Hi
I am using a Horizon menu across top of page for user to
select from a list of pages to go to but for some reason the menu
drop down list is not fully visible but rather appears behind other
elements on the page such as a flash video and a google ad . does
anyone know what is causing this or what setting i should set to
force the drop down menu to appear over the rest of the elements in
the page as you would want it do.

Why can't I find preferances in the edit tabs drop down menu?

Although I had Indesign CS6 for over a year this is my first time using it . I want to set the default page size to inches, instead of using Indesigns default settings. Following Terry Whites instruction From the video clip on YouTube I tried finding Preferances in the Edit tabs menu, But when I click on the edit tab I can't find preferances in the drop down menu. What am I doing wrong or what am I not doing. sombody please help me to change this setting. I know nothing about the measurement type that indesign uses as a default.
