The field point 4.1 software does not get installed, how to install the software and work on field point 20xx
We want to know the basics of installation of field point s/w and where to start from after installation.
Then we also need the details of HOW TO WORK in it. what are the other hardware and software that are necessarily to be installed along with field point in the PC. How to connect the hardware fp2000, to the PC.
Actually we tried installing the field point s/w, but we did not get the field point explorer icon to continue working.

I purchased the multi-user iworks (yes back when it was new, 2009 or 2010 and recently had to replace my white imac's hard drive (but didn't pay to fix the CD drive). My iworks does not have a serial number on the box and now that my CD drive isn't working how can I reinstall this software?

See the confirmation email or covering letter to obtain the serial number. If you have lost it, contact the supplier. -
The APP application on my iPad does not function properly - any downloads requested immediately fail and send me back tot he main iPad screen. Any suggestions on to hoe to fix this? The software has been updated to iOS 5.1.1, and no furthe updates are available.
This is my boilerplate response when app downloads are stalled or in the "waiting" mode. There are a bunch of things here to try.
Tap on the "installing" icon and see if you can pause the install, then tap on it again in order to resume the install.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download and install at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and see if the install resumes.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad. -
Ever since upgrading to Mountain Lion, my AOL messages sometimes, but not always open with a blank page. If I open AOL in Firefox, the messages open fine. This does not happen with any messages by any means, and it is not any type of certain message. In fact, in the same screen I can often open an email from the same sender with email intact. This is weird. Sometimes I close the page and open a new page. Sometimes that works and sometimes it does not. It is a very annoying thing.

When you start Messages fro the first time you are asked for an Apple ID
When this is verified and entered it appears in Messages Menu > Preference > Accounts and is Enabled.
The App should have also picked on on those iChat Accounst you had before.
These should be Enabled if they were when you last used iChat.
Exactly which "Accounts" are logged in can be seen in Message Menu > Accounts and will include the iMessage "Account" and Bonjour.
In the Window menu you will see CMD +0 for the Messages window and CMD+1 for the "Buddies" window which is a combined list at this stage.
Go to the Preferences > General Section and Untick the "Collect all accounts into one list".
This will give you separate iChat type Buddy lists.
You can check if that account/Buddy list is set to Invisible or if in the Preferences > Accounts > Security you have settings that will block some people from seeing you as On line.
You are saying Buddies can see you as On Line which implies they are still sending to your AIM based Names (@Mac.com is a valid AIM Screen Name)
I am not sure from your post if you are trying to iMessage their email IDs thinking they are Apple IDs and that they are using Messages as well.
There is no Buddy list for iMessages side
No-one can tell you are "On Line" until they have your details in the "To" spot in Messages with the correct iMessaged contact info (iPhone Number or Apple ID)
Obviously an Apple ID can be an email or look like one.
In some cases they are also valid AIM Screen Names as well.
In the case or the @mac.com name you may have linked this Apple ID to iMessages as well.

G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11
I am creating an independent AP Invoice, there are two issues:
1. On line level G/L Account field is not open for selection
2. I have then selected and updated the account on Form Settings. Same account gets updated on line level.
In Journal Entry selected G/L account on line level shall be hitted. But it does not put any effect on JE. Accounting is set by Warehouse. It picks up accounts from warehouse only.
Need help its urgent.

G/L Accounts are set by Warehouse. But if explicitly we are want to change the account on line level in that case, it is not getting reflected in Journal entry. On AR Invoice same scenario works perfectly. On line level I can change the accounts explicitly and have the effect on Journal entries.
Issue seems to be on AP side only.

I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC mover ultimate. CS5 appeared to start up normally, I had to insert the serial number from my original CD. However, now the program does not recognize CR files and Adobe bridge is not working properly. I get messages that CS5 needs to be updated, but the updates fail. What should I do? Should I uninstall CS5 on the new computer, uninstall CS5 on the old computer using the original CD, and then reinstall CS5 using the CD on the new computer?
Transferring programs does not work well with Adobe applications. You should install them.
As far as having the program on different machines goes, you are allowed to have two activated installations so if it is working on the original machine there is no reason to remove it unless you need the space. -
It looks like whenever one specifies Column default values at a library level then the content organizer routing goes a bit awry SPECIFICALLY FOR NON OFFICE FILES [e.g. PDF] . Below are the observations and issues
1. Column level default value set on a record library with auto declaration of records turned on. The content organizer routes the document to the library but also keeps a copy of the document in the drop off library. It does not remove it from the drop
off library. The instant we clear the default value settings at the library level of the target library the content organizer works as expected again.
2. If default value settings are specified on a column in the target library then the PDF file gets routed to the document library but all the metadata is blanked out. The copy of the file that remains in the drop off library has all the correct metadata but
the target library has blanked out metadata.
Are the 2 observations described above by design or are they bugs? If so is there any documentation that is available that proves this because this does not make logical sense and proving this to a client in the absence of any documentation is a challenge.
The problem goes away if we shift the default value to the site columns directly at the site collection level. It's just the library level defaults that the pdf files do not seem to agree withHi Lisa,
Thanks for responding. This can be replicated in any environment but is only replicable for a specific combination of content organizer settings . The combination of settings I am referring to can be seen in the screenshot below. If you turn off redirect
users to the drop off library for direct uploads to libraries and if you turn on sharepoint versioning then you should be able to replicate the issue. Also we are using managed metadata site columns. I simplified this use case to a custom content content type
with just 2 custom managed metadata columns and can still replicate the issue in several environments. Also note the issue does not occur if the default values are set at the site or site collection level. It only occurs if you set the column value default
at a library level. I was able to replicate this on a completely vanilla Enterprise records site collection freshly created just to test this. Also note that the issue is not that the file does not reach the destination library. The issue is the
document does not get removed from the drop off library after it is transfered to the destination library which technically should have gotten removed. -
My Reminders app which I sync with iPad shows my AppleID password as a heading for my lists when I have it open on my screen of my laptop or desktop. The iPad does not reveal the password the same way. Desktop is not so worrisome, but I don't understand why this would happen and is especially weird if I have the app open in public on my laptop. Is this a default? What do I do to make sure the list does not show by password? I understand that sharing the Reminders via the iCloud may cause a need to show what Reminder lists are being shared between a device and laptop, but why not a user name instead of the PASSWORD!!!?

recently certain video or pictorial attachments to my e-mails be opened because the system requires the installation of the Adobe Flash player with Java plug-ins. The message also gives a link for installation. It appears to install but nothing really happens. Then the message advises that it will install automatically once security is uninstalled or when Firefox is off. Nothing seems to work. Please help. P.S. Recently, the bottom edge of the touch screen on my iPhone stopped responding to touch. I have gone through all of your hints and tips in the service information pages to see if there was a DIY solution. The little 'dots' which indicate water damage are white. I checked those in case someone else had caused water damage to my phone, as I do not live alone. The home button works fine, the non-functioning area of the screen prevents me from using all functions for which the screen will not revolve to the side when the phone is tipped. Texting is a nightmare, as I have to keep turning the phone to access certain alphnumeric icons on the keyboard. Is this a common problem with the iPhone 4? Is is expensive to repair?
Before you claim the hardware failed, try basic troubleshooting as described in the User's Guide of reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
If none of these resolve the issue, Apple offers and Out of Warranty replacement for $149US. -

It may be possible that the charge coming in is less than the amount being consumed on a call, resulting in a net drain from the battery, ultimately resulting in shut down...but frankly that sounds invalid to me, though I've no way to be sure. Perhaps your charger is somehow faulty? I honestly rarely let my battery drain to such a low point...and also carry a spare battery just in case.
I've searched the KB's for all kinds of search strings with no luck to your specific situation...but perhaps you'll do better? Here's the link to the public KB's:

I have a re-furbished Mac Book 2011. It's version 10.8.5. Processor - 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Memory - 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Startup disk - Mac HD.
I want to do a complete re-install of the operating system.
I have followed the instructions in the online manual to go to the Mac OS X utilities screen so I can do a re-install.
I have held the Command key with the R key when the grey screen comes on during a restart.
The only thing I get is the desktop screen but no Utilities screen.

Thanks.That MacBook came with 10.6.7 originally. It should have Snow Leopard install DVD to do what you.
It is too old to have the Recovery Partition on it.
If you did get the DVD when you purchased it you can call Apple and request a replacement. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling.
