How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I understand that after doing some research you tried to reinstall the Cyberlink software from C:\SwSetup\CyberDVD but were unable to locate that file.
You can reinstall software and drivers using the Recovery Manager.  Here is a link to assist you with that process.
Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8)
If the above did not help you could do a restore if it was previously working or a recovery back to factory if not.
Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8)
During the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss. If you have not yet done one, I suggest you do one now.

I updated to OS X 10.8.5 and the icons for the files of one app were originally for another app (and opened it). I was able to make the files open the the original app but now the icons have turned generic. How do I fix this?

Download Mavericks from the Mac App Store.

  • TS5376 For "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer", I followed the steps and there is no C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files..Also, after the update, I no longer show my disk drive when I load a CD.

After downloading the new Itunes update, my compter now shows error: "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer". I follwed the Apple fix / steps but it did not correct it. Also, after the update my disk drive is not recognized on my computer. If I load a CD, I cannot even access it.

See also Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes (similar to the advice above) and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies. E.g. TS2308: iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • My Itunes won't open. When I click on it I get error message:  The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.

The first error message is: itunes.exe-System Error:  the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
The second error message says: itunes:  itunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall itunes Error 7 (Windows error 126)
I have reinstalled several times and the same thing keeps happening.  Does anyone know what to do?

Ralph, both links you've posted point to the same place!
Ah, I see the second one is meant to lead to Tony's tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6571
That one applies for certain launch errors that can occur when iTunes has otherwise installed successfully. I've addressed the same issue in the first box of my tip.
What would be interesting to know is if Aswim does indeed have QTMovieWin.dll in their Program Files\iTunes folder, and if removing it allows iTunes to launch? It would seem that different error messages may be thrown up by different versions of the file on different versions of the OS. Perhaps many more people have been doing a complete rebuild than needed to.

  • HT1923 The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing.

Is there a fix for this message which suddenly appeared after I installed the latest update to Itunes?  The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.  Then I get Itunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall Itunes.  Error 7 (windows error 126).  I've removed itunes, rebooted, reinstalled many times through the control panal as well as making sure all files removed in my computer.  I've also downloaded Microsoft net framework 4 per instructions and rebooted to no avail.  Any other suggestions?

Read the user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6562 for the most thorough explanation of fixing this problem.

  • I keep getting this error message when i try to install the latest version of itunes, the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem??

I am having trouble reinstalling my Itunes on my desktop which uses Windows 7 and I can download it but once it's complete i keep getting this error message...The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. Please help me.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • I ran an iTunes update.  It failed with the message  System Error.  The program can't start because MSVCR80.DLL is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.   I tried reinstalling but get the same message.

I ran an iTunes update.  It failed with the message  "System Error.  The program can't start because MSVCR80.DLL is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."   I tried reinstalling but get the same message.  I looked in my Recycle Bin for that file name but there is none there.  Is this a new file that iTunes wants?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I researched the advice on the link provided by b noir as well as very similar advice from apple support: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376. It worked for me (for now).
    Some things of note:
I did all of the things requested by the link I provided
My computer WOULD NOT uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support. I had to manually remove the folder (also as instructed by the url)
I also uninstalled MobileMe. Was a little different than removing the other apps. Follow instructs provided here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2992
    I did not uninstall iCloud
I have to admit it was a bit scary removing all those things. Is important to note that when re-installing Apple, follow steps to do so as Administrator (the right-click thingy and whatnot).
    Hope this helps!

  • Hpqdirec.exe – System error. The program can't start because ATL90.DLL is missing from your compute

    Hello,
The following has only transpired recently. It concerns Windows 7 and my C6380 All-In-One.
It appears to be a registry issue. I am experienced and have tried even more than that listed below.
On launching the "HP Solution Centre", I receive the following error message:-
    “Hpqdirec.exe – System error.
The program can’t start because ATL90.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Are you able to advise on how I can resolve this issue. Clearly, I want to avoid a complete clean install of my PC.
     What I have tried
    - Complete Install, Reboot, Install of the HP Software
    - Restore points
    - Running virus scanners
    - Windows "Start-up Repair"
    , - Running RegZooka

I can think of a couple of possibilities here.
One, if this was an upgrade from XP or Vista, then it is possible that the file is just not there in the operating system. Or if some other uninstallation removed it unknowingly. Not likely but possible.
More likely, some sort of security software (firewall/antivirus/malware) blocked part of the installation. This could result in missing HP items and/or missing linkage to operating system necessities. You might try reinstalling with the security software disabled or off completely. At the minimum, with options to allow the HP installation full access during the install.
    Hope that helps.

  • PDF objects not identified in QTP getting "The program can't start because MSVCP90.dll is missing"

    Hi ,
I am trying to do Automation of PDF using the below Configuration,
    QTP 11

Adobe PDF Test Toolkit (BETA) 10.1.2
After Installed I am getting "The program can't start because MSVCP90.dll is missing" error While opening PDF files.
Kindly note its working fine in Adobe 10.1.9 but my client requirement is Adobe 11.
    I Appreciate your earlier reply.

I, too am receiving this error upon launching Reader XI (11.0.06) which my company is currently running.  I have to get special permission to run any down-level Reader and haven't gone there yet.  Is this because there is a conflict with this version of the toolkit and my version of Reader?

  • ITunes.exe - System Error - The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.

The Program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

  • Error Message: "The program can't start because QTCF.dll is missing....."

Full error message: "The program can't start because QTCF.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I can't start iTunes because of this error. Any advice on what to do?

I have discovered the reason this occurs. It is because the PATH in the environment settings no longer has the path to C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem which is where the .dll lives on a Windows 7 computer. Close the application giving you this warning if it is still open and use the following 10-step process to fix this:
    1. Search for the path to the QTCF.dll and upon finding it, copy it (Highlight it in the explorer address bar and press CTRL + C.)
    2. Open the control panel.
    3. Choose System and Security from the left.
    4. Choose Advanced system settings from the left and a dialog window pops up with the Advanced tab selected.
    5. Click the Environmental Variables... button near the bottom of the dialog box.
(This opens a dialog box with 2 sections: User variables and System variables.)
    6. Scroll down through the  System variables section so that you can select (highlight) the Path variable in the left column.
    7. Click the Edit... button which opens a small dialog box and highlights the entire Variable value.
    8. Click once in the Variable value (to deselect the value so you don't mess it up) and then press the end key on your keyboard (to move your cursor to the last character of the very very long string in the text box).
    9. Paste (keyboard combination CTRL + V) the path to the QTCF.dll you copied earlier, and add a semi-colon, for example:
                         C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem;
(Note that you don't need a trailing / or the actual .dll name in the path, but be sure to add a semicolon to the end of the path name you paste.)
    10. Click OK on each of the 3 open dialog boxes.
There is no need to reboot your computer. You only need to restart the application and ensure that it starts without the warning that the .dll can not be found.

  • Error: The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing...

I am trying to install SQL Developer on my Windows-64 laptop. I downloaded the Windows-64 version of SQL Developer from oracle.com, which only comes WITHOUT an included JDK. I installed a JDK separately, but now when I try to launch SQL Developer, I get an error:
The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I went to the Microsoft web site, and a forum indicated I needed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) to get the dll. I did this, but I still get the same error.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi,
Are you using Java 7? SQL Developer 3.x support only goes through Java 6 (jdk1.6.0_27 is the latest to date). When playing with SQL Developer / Java 7 on WinXP, I noticed that I had to copy MSVCR100.dll from jdk.1.7.0 to the same directory as the sqldeveloper.conf file. Here is the link discussing this:
Re: SQL Developer 3.0  and Java SE 7?
But I recommend just using Java 6.
