The firefox app is on my daughter's iPhone...how do we set parental controls so she can't be exposed to innappropriate content?

I read something about settings parental controls on our computer for the FireFox browser....but she downloaded it directly to her iPhone. Do I have to open the browser from there in order to turn on a filter of some type? I want to protect her from all the dangerous material that is rampant on the internet today. Thanks

There is no mobile Firefox for any iOS devices due to Apples restrictions on what browser and JavaScript engines can be used.
The only thing Mozilla had was a app in past called Firefox Home which allowed you to sync settings like bookmarks from Firefox to the iOS device.
Android is currently the only mobile OS supported.
So whatever you have on iPhone is not Firefox and just a shell or something for Safari.

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted. Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

The firefox app in my dock (OSX 10.8) is labeled backwards (xoferiF)

I'm not sure when this started, but I've only just noticed it. The Firefox app icon in my dock has it's name spelled backwards (i.e. xoferiF). It appears normally in mission control and the applications folder but backwards on the dock. I've restarted it over and over but it stays the same. Obviously this is only a minor bug and is not affecting the app's performance in any way, but it's just wierd. I can provide a screenshot if necessary.

Nope, that didn't work but I have more clues. I said earlier that the app was labeled correctly in the applications folder. I assumed this because it ''is'' present and correct in mission control. When I went to double check this, it turned out that it wasn't in the apps folder at all. So I right clicked it in the dock and selected 'show in finder'; it turns out it's located in a ''hidden'' folder in applications called '.sys_index'. And there it's called 'xoferiF'
Also, the fact that it's version 21.0 could have something to do with it.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.

Thanks for the reply. I did think that could be the case but then other books would also show up as apps on phone but not counted as an app. Maybe book apps downloaded from the app store work in this way whereas books bought from the ibooks app show in ibooks and not as apps.
I guess that would make sense, it must be because they are books but downloaded from the app store rather than the book store so they are visible as an app but don't actually get counted as an app.
Would you think that's the case too?
