Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Quit Mail.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you'll have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • FireFox home page does not always display correctly, hence I cannot do anything

On my Dell laptop the FireFox home page does not always fully display. When this happens I cannot access several web sites and some that I can do not display correctly either. On some occasions everything works correctly.
I have 2 Dell Inspiron laptops the same except one is running Vista (the one that does not always work) and one running Windows 7 (this one has no problems).

  • Why does the Firefox home page keep telling me I'm up to date when I'm not?

The Firefox home page, found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ or by redirection from www.mozilla.com or www.firefox.com, tells me my version of Firefox is up to date. It isn't.
I'm currently running 11.0 (and should have 12.0) but this has been happening for quite some time now; that page just seems to always say you're up to date, no matter what.

It's a web site bug. It's been reported as #748741.
    To update manually,
    # Click the '''Firefox button'''.
    # Open the '''Help''' menu and choose '''About Firefox'''.
    # Click the '''Check for Updates''' button.

  • How do I select features (e.g. news, investment info, sports news etc.) to the Firefox home page. It currently only contains a google search box ?

My Firefox homepage currently only contains a Google search box. How do I select features (e.g. news, investment info, sports news etc) to the Firefox home page.

The current build-in Firefox home page <b>about:home</b> doesn't have such extra features. If you need those then change the home page to <b>http://wwww<i></i>.google<i></i>.com</b>

  • I have lost the upper and lower tool bars on the Firefox home page. Now I have to scroll my mouse to the top of the screen in order to bring them up. How can I get the bars back?

The home page fills my entire screen now and it didn't before. This happened about a week ago. I tried to do a Restore on my system but the problem still exists. The Firefox button on the left has disappeared too.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

  • How do I re-set the Firefox home page address.

    ''dupe of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/910351''
It has taken me days to find a way of contacting someone at Firefox to help an avid fan (Me) to get this far so I really hope you can help me.
I downloaded Firefox Aurora about 10 days ago but had a problem with my PC so I reformatted the drive “C” back to zero and now I can’t get Aurora back as it was.
It had the inspiring dark globe with a wonder of options to choose from but I now get the same globe with a great clean and fresh page to start with but a very annoying address that says only “about:home” can you please send me the correct address that should be showing and not a drop down that says “This Website does not supply identity information” If I download My favoured E-Mail client “Incredimail” It will take over Firefox with it’s horrid “MyStart” and the only way I can restore Firefox home page is if I have the correct address. Just encase you identify users by country I live in South Wales U.K.
    Thank you

It was normaly me who asked this Q the firt time but I was re-directed to ask again after filling in and joining the forum. The Q is not yet resolved. Give it time Firefox is worth waiting for.

  • Since i downloaded your Firefox 4 i have lost Norton 360 safe web taskbar on the firefox home page. can you plese rectify this prblem.

Norton 360 safe web and identity safe task bar is not displayed on firefox home page, since downloading firefox4.

It is down to Symantec to correct their mistake with their add-ons. They originally updated their add-ons after quite a delay to work with Firefox 4.0 as shown here - http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-4-compatibility-hotfix-is-now-available/td-p/428894
They made an error with the update in only listing it as compatible with Firefox 4.0, so they will not install on Firefox 4.0.1 and subsequent Firefox security updates. Symantec have indicated they will be releasing an update to correct their error soon, for details see http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Norton-Toolbar-not-compatible-with-FF-4-0-1/td-p/442788/page/12

  • I have somehow deleted the tool bar from the Firefox home page. How do I recover it?

I have somehow deleted the toolbar from my Firefox home page. How can I retrieve it, and hopefully my bookmarks, Tools, etc.

    Hello.
Go into View > Toolbars and select the toolbars you want to be displayed. If you don't see the menu bar, simply tap ALT in your keyboard. Rightclicking anywhere in the toolbar will also present you with the menu (don't rightclick stuff that can be rightclicked for other functions, like the back menu or the tabs).

  • Firefox will install, and open the FIREFOX home page--------------but then is unable to download anything else-WHY

Win7 on DELL XPS9000-----64bit. Successfully run IE, Safari and Chrome. Download Mozilla Firefox 17 (and other versions before 17)
Firefox home page loads----------but nothing else loads! i.e., can not access other pages, such as nbcnews, etc.----Nothing.
My laptop runs firefox nicely; I like firefox--------but I can't wait for the thing to never load.
    any suggestions will be appreciated.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Home page tab not displaying

I'm using conditions on tabs depending on the user. The tab on the home page is not working correctly. If the person is a user for the home page plus 2 other pages the tabs for the 2 other pages show up but not the tab for the home page. If the user has access to everything all the tabs show up. Any ideas?

  • Can I get my msn mail on the Firefox home page?

How many ways can I say it? Want to be able to see my email on my Firefox homepage.

The built-in Firefox home page doesn't have the option to add your mailbox to the existing page. But you can make your mailbox your home page so when you start Firefox or open a new window, that will load automatically.
For example, one way is, while viewing the page you want as your home page, you drag the padlock icon from the left side of the address bar and drop it on the Home button (house icon). This article describes that and other techniques: [[How to set the home page]].
    Does that help?

  • How do I stop the Firefox home page from automatically loading. I have rest my homepage to where I want it. But the Firefox homepage still loads automatically

When I open Firefox, the homepage I set opens...as does the Mozillza Firefox home page which opens in a separate tab. It is an extra tab I DON'T want. How do Is stop it?

The instructions are clear and easy to understand, however, it doesn't always work.
I set my home page to www.google.com (only one tab opened up), clicked OK to save google as my home/start page.
I closed all browsers, started FF and it worked.
However, the next time I started FF it came back with the hooray, your ff is up to date.
I also set my home page to my internal work site URL, same problem.
    I'm using version 23.0
I also tried going to google, and dragging the icon at the beginning of the URL to my home page icon. Still doesn't work.

  • How do i stop websites from hijacking my firefox home page setting? this hijacker didn't even identify itself with a logo.

at least two times my firefox preference home page has been changed. bing did it the first time, and there have been others. this time it is an unknown location. the new home page has no logo, and i'm not sure who it is. i've got avg protection software, the purchased version, for protection, but now i'm not sure if we are secure. not even sure how this hijack occurred. when i shut the system down using sleep, the system said new software updates would be installed on startup for firefox. the next time i started up, there was this new home page. is there anyway to prevent this from happening in the first place. if i install new software and the home page is changed, i can correct that, but this change was out of the blue. i think it was associated with firefox, but i'm not really sure. haven't installed new software for ages.
    can anyone help with prevention?

Please create a screenshot of your Firefox by following the guide mentioned at [[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]].
Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the '''Browse...''' button below the ''Post your reply'' box. This will help me to visualize the problem.
Also, I am assuming you have not clicked any links saying something like 'Set this page as my homepage'? This may seem a stupid question, but you may have inadvertently done this by pressing Enter on a page.

  • Are we allowed to use the Web developer function in Firefox version 5.0 to edit the html source code associated with the Firefox home page?

Locking at request of OP - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/844506
Are we allowed to use the Web developer function, under the "Firefox" tab in Firefox version 5.0, to edit the html source code associated with the Firefox version 5.0 home page ( so that we can personalize the home page )? Is this legal?
    Sincerely in Christ,
    Russell E. Willis

    Solution: (Free Download Manager)
Go here: http://codecpack.co/download/Free_Download_Manager.html and download Free Download Manager 3.8.1067 Beta 3, it works perfectly with Firefox 5.0.1
Solution: (to Google mail aka Gmail)
I have had this problem for a while since I did a previous Firefox update, where I had to force Gmail to load in Basic HTML else it's next to impossible to use it. The solution is this: simply update your Java, and Gmail will work without a problem using Standard HTML. To update your Java go here: http://www.java.com/en/ and select "Free Java Download".
And beta normally, universally, means "the not quite there yet version of the version we're aiming for" NORMALLY used during production and testing of a type of software.
