Hi, I'm trying to buy the iPhone 4s on Sprint's network(currently on T-Mobile) and I would like to have my number transferred but everytime I try it gives me that message.
Any ideas on why my number is not eligible for a transfer?

There are various reasons why a number would not be able to be ported, so it's useless to speculate. I would recommend either calling Best Buy Mobile or doing this transaction in-store.

If you can add some other users to the chat group but only this user,you can check if this user is in a different OU rather than built-in Users OU in AD, I have seen an old
thread report the same error when add a user that is in custom OU fails,if so please check if this OU have RTCUniversalServerReadOnly permissions.

When connected to my external screen the desktop numbers are not in sequence

Hi
Relatively new to Apple but use an Apple external screen. When viewing muptiple screen on the MacBook they are shown in order left to right 1 2 3 4 etc however when connected to the extrenal screen they show 1 3 2 4 It is confusing. Also applications seem to move from one screen to another wthout operator (me) instruction. One explaination for this may be me losing my mind but the screen order is a definate.

Here is an extreme newbie Q...
I want to install Arch linux...
I have windows 8 64-bit installed on the HDD with MBR partition table...
And here are my partitions (in order) that I see from the arch usb installation media:
/dev/sda1: System Reserved (primary, active)
/dev/sda2: C (primary)
/dev/sda3: Extended
/dev/sda5: D (Logical)
/dev/sda6: E (Logical)
Uallocated space.
So I already have 2 primary and 1 extended partition.
Now, my question is: Why did it skipped the number sda4?
Is it normal?
When I create third primary partition on unallocated space, it assigns the number sda4 to it...
What is going on?

Some Of The Following Drivers Are Not Being Inslled On The Notebook

As the topic says, i have an Envy 6 1002TX laptop and in this laptop some of the drivers are not being installed while they are available in the download lists of drivers for the same laptop.

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on everything, but some of the text numbers are not clear on the ipad. It works perfectly on all the other browsers.

I built a website for a customer using HTML only, so it would work on any browser, and it works perfectly on everything except ipad safari. I'm loosing information with most of my text numbers - instead of being black they are displaying a 'ghost' image (white) of the numbers.
Is this a memory issue, or cache issue, or something else? I've downloaded iCab and the site works perfectly with it.
Also wondering if I can manually reload/refresh web pages in iPad Safari.
Since most people with iPads will use Safari rather than iCab, I have to tweak this site to work in Safari.

Detecting phone numbers and making them clickable is a feature of the browser, and rebuilding your web-site links will not make any difference. Its done when the page is shown in the browser, not when the page is created.
According to the Safari iOS developers guide, you can turn these data detectors off using this code:

I've ran into this problem a few times. We have two separate forests with a two-way trust. We have a clustered file server that both forests access.
Randomly I will notice the file server has some issues resolving the names (showing the SID instead) and I can't modify permissions because it prompts this message:
The domain resolves fine from both sides (I have DNS forwarders in each location in place). When I go to domains & trusts on both domain controllers and "VALIDATE" it says everything is fine.
How do I troubleshoot this?

I am using the following formula to display the alternate white and silver background color in every reocrd but this does not work because the records numbers are not in sequence for ex : its showing 54,56,58 which is not allowing the alternate color, Any advice.Thanks if remainder(recordnumber,2) =0 then crNoColorelse Color (218,218,218);

Could you simply add a running total for each record. That will give you the 1 2 3 4 5 6 ....
Then in the details section color formula, use something like this:
if RunningTotal Mod 2 = 0 then crSilver Else crNoColor.

Thank you, Tom. I did contact Blurb support back in March and was told the following:
"We are not able to change the specifications of how Apple Itunes show the author's name on their site.
Apple always have strict specifications of how they set up the Ebook on their site.
This issue can only be solved by contacting Apply and they will not change the name of the site".
I didn't know how or where to contact Apple at that time and gave up. I am resurrecting the issue now as I have seen I have sold some books and would like the people who bought them to learn of my other book.
I am grateful to both Blurb and Apple for making my books possible, but I would like to fix this issue. I will contact Blurb again.

"following domains are not available" error - functionally trusted domains but with same NETBIOS dc computernames giving problems.

For SCOM monitoring and user permissions I am trying to add the Action Account from HQ.local domain to some other domains like DOMAIN1.local, TEST1.local and TEST2.local.
(a trust persists between the domains en HQ.local, and DNS Conditional forwarders are configured to correctly resolve the FQDN DNS names).
Problem is, when adding a user from the HQ.local domain to the Active Directory of the DC's SRVPDC01.DOMAIN1.local or SRVPDC01.TEST1.local domain I get an error:
"The Active Directory Domain Controllers Required to find the selected objects in the following domains are not available:
HQ.local
Ensure the Active Directory Domain Controllers are available, and try to select the objects again."
But when I try to do the same thing, so add user1 from HQ.local to the AD on TESTDC01.TEST2.local…. No error!
The other way around, like adding users from DOMAIN1.local, TEST1.local or TEST2.local to the DC01.HQ.local Active directory… also no error!
To make things even more strange, when I validate the trust with HQ.local… and then try to add user1.HQ.local -> No problem, but only for about 1 minute.. After that
it doesn't recognize user1.HQ.local and only displays some CN=S-1-5... ID of the user. Also when trying to add a new user, I receive the error again.
My guess is that the problem has something to do with the same NETBIOS names of the DC's (server 3 and 4). because authenticating users from HQ.local and TEST2.local
doesn't give me errors and all other domains which have same DC names are giving errors.
(for testing purposes I set-up TESTDC01.TEST2.local with a different DC servername to see if the error persists, and it didn't).
Overview of the servers and situation:
- All server 3, 4 and 5 are on separate Vlan's and have no connectivity among each other. But they do have connectivity to the internet, the HQ.local domain and its servers
DC01 and DC02.
- same firewall settings for each vlan
- even Server 4 and server 5 are on the same Vlan for testing purposes, just to make sure the firewall is not the problem.

thing I really need: users from HQ.local having permissions in groups of the other domains… :(
Any advise or help would be much appreciated. I've been struggeling with this for a while now and i'm pretty much out of ideas.

I have tested port 3268 and 3269 with Port Query UI and ports are listening on alle DC servers.

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

My wired keyboard characters above the numbers are not working

I have a wired keyboard. the character symbols above the numbers (not the number pad) are not working. other characters appear instead. Help

Go to system preferences/language & text/input sources and make sure that ONLY the box for US is checked (or whatever keyboard you normally use, we have no way of knowing what country you are in if you don't tell us).
