The forthcoming "better" version of BT Yahoo! Mail
Some questions:
(1) Can users opt-out of the "improvements", and just stay on the old mail system forever?
(2) Assuming the upgrade is forced on us, will it possible to completely disable ALL spam filtering?
(3) Will POP3 service be changed, or do these changes relate to the web-based mail system only?
(4) Is the new system based on Google Mail?

I am still unable to download pics in hotmail..... Along with not being able to use Aviary Image Editor as it says it is Not compatible with the 4.0 version. So that Add-on picked up the right version I am using. (I use this to take ScreenShots!) - I sure hope this will be available when FireFox 4.0 is fully launched.....................

So I am new to Muse, and my Adobe Cloud has 2 different programs from Muse... how do I know which one is the newer better version?
One Must program (Muse CC 2014.2) has a black background when working on it... it looks like other Adobe programs such as Photoshop.
The other one is light color (Muse CC) very similar to the black color Muse on functions.....
One of the difference I notice is that the light color Muse has a few widgets in the library, while the black background Muse seems to have an empty library

The latest version of Muse is 2014.2, so you need to uninstall another version of Muse manually.

The is not a hardware problem , but a software problem with FF...Any help would be appreciated as I hate using IE 8 for anything at all :( but I have to keep it on my machines just to run my remote security cameras at my Computer shop ???

"My DVR security sofware that I access remotely uses a "dvr .ocx" file....when I try it in Firefox , either the latest non beta (3.6.1.5) or the new beta version (4.0 rc) it will NOT work as it says the plugin is missing... it works in IE 8 (unfortunately) but not IE9...
As I own a Computer company I am fairly computer literate but cannot find a plugin that allows this to work in Firefox.... but I would have expected it to work in the new Firefox :(

Why do you want to use Beta software? Especially since you are having this problem with it?
Uninstall it and forget about it until it is released as a real piece of software. -
After upgrading to the latest IOS version 7.1, in mail on ipad, if I select more than 5 mail items to delete the mail software package crashes and I have to relaunch mail? Anyone else noticed this?
I haven't encountered this problem on my iPad Air but this is what I usually do when Mail misbehaves.
Quit the Mail app like I describe then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. -

A new version of Yahoo Mail has unexpectedly been dumped on long time users a few days ago, leaving many of us with functions that no longer work and are unstable. There was no announcement of a Beta or a possibility of retaining the old Yahoo Mail. It was like "Here it is, like it or not. We don't care."
My son said "Why don't you use another email client?". I thought of Mac Mail immediately. I have found a lot of instructions as to how to move my Yahoo mail components, and they sound pretty easy, but what I haven't found is what happens to my Inbox email, my archived email and my contacts. Do I have to move all those components to Mac Mail manually, and if so, will they now reside on my hard drive? Maybe I'm getting in over my head here. Some of the instructions say all I need is just my Full Name, Email address and Password. I guess I'm a cynic. It just sounds too good to be true. What happens to the stuff that was on Yahoo?
I have a couple of other reputable email accounts, but I would have to go through all my friends and businesses and inform them of the changed email addy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can switch back to the old version of Yahoo Mail by going into your Yahoo Preferences and/or check the top right hand corner of its website. -
Before the latest update, I used Firefox almost exclusively. Now that the new version has removed, or hidden, my entire Yahoo settings and pages, I can't use Firefox at all.

other users also had problems with yahoo mail when they were using the ghostery addon - do you have it installed too by any chance? if so, add an exception for yahoo mail: click on the ghostery icon while you're in yahoo's webmail, choose "edit blocking options" & then don't block on this domain... -

I was easily able to create a new tag with previous versions of Firefox.
There shouldn't be any differences with creating tags in the Firefox 4 beta version?

I'm using Firefox to post this since the beta version of Safari went belly up a couple of days ago. It's not loading many of my usual daily websites that I need access to.

I searched the Apple website for Safari Beta 3 (& all versions of that phrase) and came up with nada so I was hoping that someone here would have some info.
I want to get rid of the beta version and go back to the previous stable version.

PS - What I'm looking for is the Safari beta file to download. I made the mistake of deleting the beta package that contained the uninstaller since it WAS working so well.
Live & learn.The uninstaller with beta 3.0 will not uninstall the program because I don't have a restorable version of Safari. ????? is this a weird catch 22? Of course I don't have it, it un-installed 2.1 when it installed the beta. Now Adobe won't install because of safari and safari won't uninstall because of safari and I cannot find a copy of safari 2 (only updates that need safari2) I'm going in and killing anything to do with safari.. this doesn't make me happy. I'm officially waiting on OSX 10.5 for a while.

My date time is one day ahead, when i set the right date, my yahoo mail gets crazy and stop sending mails.

When will the next Beta Version of I-Tunes be released?
Just wondering if anyone knows when a new, "must download release or loose your ability to purchase, burn and play music" version be released. Trying to do some planning financially because I just know that I'll have a computer in the shop to be fixed again. IPOD's are a great piece of hardware. I just wished the software were equally good. Once we got past version 5, the programmers must of went on strike. The moderators shoul not take this as any reflection on their outstanding work. This issue starts at the top. But when you get that rich you must not care anymore.
Barbara, Like KAtrina I am at a bit of a loss on how to help you. There has never been a "beta" released for iTunes. Nor have the vast majority of folks had an issue with the new version of iTunes. Nor, I might add, is it likely that if your computer is in the shop (again) you will miss being able to download iTunes. Once a new version is posted, that is the one that is available until the next revision.
If you have an issue in particular that needs some help, do let us know. You've got two folks with more than a little knowledge about this application ready to help.
One thing I might note...you made it sound as though your computer spends a lot of time in the repair shop. If that is so, then any issue you are having with iTunes could likely stem from the underlying problem. Would you care for help looking at the symptoms so maybe you can get it fixed once and for all?

When I booted I was asked a question whether I should allow connections to my network. It seemed strange, but I fell for it and allowed. Upon reflection, it was probably a phishing expedition that wrecked my ability to download messages and possibly inserted a trojan horse. I am running a MacPro with Mountain Lion OSX. I have very good protection software.
I can obtain messages on my iPhone, so it is not a provider problem.

Less and Less are the ports and protocols being considered by AV companies and others as everyone uses web mail. Like you, I use ESET and have had no problems with the NOD32 anti virus product. But I have heard some rather sad tales about the Suite being overly protective. In this day of ubiquitous firewalls in AV products (In my opinion a very bad thing) Only Microsoft products can be expected to work out of the box as the market leading office software vendor. The anti virus vendors firewalls +Anti virus products generally account for about 95% of mail collection issues. With incorrect settings making up about 2 or 3 percent of the remainder. Real Thunderbird bugs do exist, but are only a very tiny part of the total. -

releases to the final (3/05) Solaris 10 release. Methods such
as tradtional upgrade or Live Upgrade may appear to work but
