The Forums need the MAA!

As I am a frequent user of the forums, I have noticed that over the last few days the OTN Forums have been up and down quite frequently. So much so that when I enter questions I must make sure to copy the text that I've added just in case the forums go down upon submitting my question/reply. What is going here? Is Jive not cutting it?

Several times a day we get error 404, it goes up and down like you say.
Mail to "webmaster" get no replies :(
Jive, or is it the underlying app platform that is very unstable? Wonder what Oracle forums run on... :)

Is the IMEI number on the box.

NEW TO THE FORUM NEED HELP INSTALLING CS2

I just bought an older version of CS2 for Mac from the original owner and when I tried to install it the software is no longer supported by my Mac. Can I install CS2 on a new Mac? And if so how, I have all the cds and the registration number. The original owner no longer has a Mac and can not use it.

You can only run CS2 on Macs running OSX 10.6 or earlier. It won't work on newer Macs using Lion or Mountain Lion (OS 10.7 and 10.8).

Where is the forum for the Microsoft Store?

I placed an order for Microsoft hardware which has a 30 day evaluation period. Unfortunately, one of the items is back ordered. I used the online chat to request an extension of the 30 day period for the hardware that was shipped to start when
the last of the hardware shipped. The representative was either not authorized to do that or did not understand my request.
If I don't get an extension of the evaluation period for the hardware that did ship to allow me to evaluate the entire package (with the hardware that is back ordered) I will have to return what I have received and then immediately order the exact same equipment.
This is not only not logical it is stupid.
So where is the forum that I can raise this issue in?

Render Queue in AME won't start, tried everything and the client needs the footage! Can anyone Help?

I am exporting a quicktime file H.264 at 720p but cant seem to render the video. I have read through heaps of forums and have tried the following:
-Added black video (from premiere) to the video track 1 for entire length of work bar.
- ticked use preview files. and rendered all video, audio and effects before exporting.
- un-ticked include xmp
- tried exporting without audio.
- tried only a few seconds of footage
- tried adding a single opacity keyframe to the first frame of the sequence
- played around with the quality of the clips.
- I've even tried making a new project with just a 10 second clip.
Each time After about 10 minutes of waiting I finally get an error msg as below:

I haven't moved any files and haven't had a problem with rendering the sequence in premiere. but i have had multiple crashes when altering audio
track properties (adding compressors etc.)
The project file and media was originally copied from CS3 on quad core pc (win xp) and is now running on Mac Pro Dual quad OS X CS4 version 4.0.0
I am really stuck for a solution. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Trying to watch the live tv add on. have installed the windows media plug in, but it keeps saying in order to watch the channel need the plug in which I have already installed. Any ideas?

Every time I choose a channel, it will not load. A box opens and it says I need to download the windows media player firefox plugin. I have done this though

The Windows Media Player plug-in frequently installs in the wrong place. Try copying it to the correct place as instructed in the following article section to see if that solves your problem.

Also, if you synced your iPod to a computer you can find the SN in iTunes. Go to the Devices tab in iTunes' Preferences and hover the mouse pointer over the backup file for the iPod and the SN will be displayed.

HT1212 I have followed the instructions to place the device in recovery mode to try and restore it, but Itunes is telling me that it has detected that the ipad needs the passcode and so it just keeps saying ipad is disabled on the screen of the ipad?

My Ipad just keeps showing ipad is disabled even after I have followed the apple instructions for an ipad that has not been synced with itunes.

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

New to the forums, Need a liitle HELP!

I have a IPHONE 3G S 32gig. After reading all the Battery issues. Can you tell
me if I have a problem or not. I use phone to Check mail, Play a few games,
Check weather ect... Talk on phone about an 45-60 min a day. I let my phone go
to zero percent before I charge. I get about 2 days standby and about 5 hours
usage before I need to charge at 2%. Email in manual, 3g on, Wifi and Location off. 3.1.2 loaded. Is this good or bad

This is what annoys me about the complaints about battery life. The vast majority, myself included, have no problems with battery life. But then again, I know I can't play Madden 10 (I'm addicted, I admit) for 20 straight hours without recharging. The iPhone is a little computer, not a boring Motorola cell phone. If you do lots of things, which you can do on the iPhone, you're going to test the battery. I can fly across the country, play games, watch video, and listen to music, and arrive in the other coast with lots of battery life left (say 20-30%).
BTW, I didn't know about this issue about complete draining. I swear that I read in one of the Battery Whining threads that the recommendation is to drain the battery completely before recharging. I never do that, because that'll be the day I need my phone fully charged.

My photos are missing from LR. I've read all the forums, tried the fixes, and nothing works. Ready to dump LR.

I've read the advice columns on getting the photos back into LR. I've right clicked and left clicked. I've located and searched. My photos are still missing in action. I am ready to dump LR after many many years of using it. I operate Windows 8 on an HP laptop.

To be clear: if you're going to store photos on an external drive, in Windows, you MUST "fix" the external drive letter - ask if you don't know how to do that (but first, we need to know what the drive letter is now, and/or what it should be..).
We need to know EXACTLY what's going on, with real names and specific information - what you saw, what you typed, what you clicked.. - make a video if you can..
At this point, we (me anyway) are assuming Lr is functioning properly, there is nothing wrong with your catalog, and you've just goofed or gotten confused somehow. That may not be true, it's just that we have no way of knowing, yet.
