I have it and did no port forwarding. If u wanna play with just freinds and host yer own server use hamachi. It freinds connect to your PC through it and it makes it as if they are on your network and then you can host a match, people without hamachi can't connect its great!
I used to play Unreal3 alot. But the server I played on was shutdown as they moved to BFBC2 (I moved as well) but if anyone knows of a good server. preferibly CTF or Warfare based let me know I would love to get back into it.
I am no expert. Correct me when I am wrong. Learning is good!

I have installed Unreal Tournament GOTY edition using the loki installer and the game work fine, with good frame rates but the sound is anoter story, as it doesn't work properly, is very bad and blurry.
¿ Does anyone has the same problem?What environment are you using? Are you using ALSA (which you probably are)?
If so, try putting aoss in front of the /path/to/ut like so:
aoss /usr/local/games/ut/utgame-bin
I'm not sure what the name of your UT binary is or where it's stored, but give it a try with your path. -
Unreal Tournament 2004 won't install...
When I first got my Macbook in 2009, Unreal Tournament 2004 installed and worked just fine on it. I decided to uninstall it when I stopped playing, but now I want to play again. The problem is, the game will not install. The game installer program quits on me just after I enter the games registration code. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it? The error literally says...

Hey. I am trying to play Unreal Tournament online with some friends, but I have problems both hosting and joining in games. I have a dsl and wireless router (WRT54G) setup. I have heard that I should port foward. I tried this but no luck (maybe I didn't do it right). The problem is, with dial-up, all I had to do was enter the host IP and I was able to join. With this current setup, it just never connects...Please help, I've tried alot of stuff and just don't have any more ideas about now....Thanks.
Well linksys router doesn't work with the Dial-up connection all you need to do is use the local area network connection & it will definately work!!

Unreal Tournament (not 2003) questions?
Configured my UT to run in D3D instead of OpenGL (version of UT that came with my GeForce 2).
Patched it to most recent version (4.x, dont remember the version at the moment).
And then i want do some benchmarks (which i have not yet had time to enjoy since i got my GF4). So i have some questions.
1. It was ages ago i did benchmarks in UT. Is there any way to timedemo it without actually playing it?
2. Is there any way to start a bot game and remain a spectator?UT

Unpack demo files to UnrealTournament/System folder. Run UT. Type
timedemo 1
into console to activate frame counter. Type
demoplay worstcase?noframecap
or
demoplay utbench?noframecap
to run the benchmark. When finished, open the console window for FPS values.
Spectating: Simply go into player setup, mark "play as spectator" and start a practice session with some bots.

I have an AMD card with the latest beta driver.
When I try to start unreal tournament (using ut-bin -log for more detailed output) I get:

The issue is at the OpenGL level. The screen brightness changes for a split second as if it's about to launch the game.
glxgears runs fine and KDE is running using OpenGL.
I have the same copy of Unreal Tournament running on the same machine inside a Linux Mint installation with the same 14.1 catalyst driver and it works fine.
My assumption is that I'm missing a 32 bit library but I have no idea what it may be. Not sure if this helps anyone but if I run

It looks like it's a 32 bit opengl problem as "glxinfo32 | grep OpenGL" provides no outptut, running just "glxinfo32" reports:

What do I need to do to completely reinstall the 32 bit opengl library? I thought it came with the catalyst driver.
edit after reinstalling lib32-mesa-libgl I now get the output:

Unreal Tournament 2004 + XBOX 360 controller
So, here it the thing ...
I have a MacBook with 1GB RAM.
I recently purchased Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004) and I have the most recent patch.
To control said game, I am using an XBOX 360 wired controller and the (generally) excellent driver found here.

The thing is: It does not (entirely) work with UT2004!
It works beautifully with any emulators, so I know that the driver "works." I can even see what the buttons map to (i.e. ... D-Pad UP = Button 12, Left Analog UP/Down = Y-Axis, etc...). I just cannot figure out how to get UT to accept this information. The Left Analog does work, which means that I know the game can recognize the controller.
When I go to the controller setup in UT, it does not seem to want to recognize the controller though, despite the fact that the Left Analog IS working!
I know that this is kind of a fringe problem, but any help would be great.

2 problems, nfs and unreal tournament
Hi there, i have a notebook which runs debian sid and want to share files between my archlinux desktop pc and this notebook via nfs!!
my ip is 192.168.1.55 and the notebooks is 192.168.1.44
archlinu should be the server. in my /etc/exports is written:
/mnt/tempo 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
and in my /etc/rc.conf
NFS_SERVER="yes"
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hotplug network netfs portmap nfslock nfsd crond alsamixer gd
m)
when i type on the notebook
mount /mnt/hansa i get :
mount: RPC: Programm nicht registriert
(program not regitred or something like that)
in the etc/fstab:
192.168.1.55:/mnt/tempo /mnt/hansa nfs rw,nolock,users,noauto 0 0
and my second problem is running unreal tounament does not work, i have not the game of the year edition. Installation works fine but running ut gives:

ok, it IS an error from the notebook!
i tested mounting on the server itself:
mount -t nfs 192.168.1.55:/mnt/tempo /mnt/tests/
works fine!!!! but umount prints this:
umount /mnt/tests/

Can I play Unreal Tournament 2003?
So I have a macbook (2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2gig Ram), and I just installed windows.
Now I want to play unreal tournament 2003. I looked at the system requirements and it says it need 64mb of video ram and 128 system ram.
I am wondering about the macbooks video ram. I know it's an integrated card. I've heard that it can use up to 128mb of ram in windows. is that true?
I'm so confused about the macbooks video ram usage.I can play Unreal Tournament 2004 on my Core Duo Macbook with 1 GB of Ram on Medium settings just fine.

However i cant find that file cause it directs me to http://www.eax.creative.com and it comes to http://www.soundblaster.com/eax
Now is there any way i still can download that file cause i recently bought Soundblaster Audigy 2 and really need that file for Unreal Tournament .

RX9800 Pro 128 mb & Unreal Tournament 2004
The graphics in Unreal Tournament 2004 get a little weird for me. A lot of the things start to dissapear every few seconds then reappear for a lot of the levels. Items and stuff don't dissapear. Just stairs and walls and stuff like that. I'm using the latest DNA drivers.
I tried the newest Omega Drivers and still no change. I don't want to go back to the older drivers because Far Cry has ugly outlines around objects and characters. Is this definitely a driver problem? Should I wait for the 4.9 drivers to come out? Should i RMA my board?

But the apps still remain purchased in my father's account and not in mine. Now I have to update my apps to use them(I have been using it for over a year) when I click update button they r asking for the passcode of my father's account. So I can't update it. And I also need to update it. What can I do! How can I purchase the same game with the same progress in my iCloud account.
Yes, if you repurchase it you may lose your progress. The exception would be a game that stored all your progress on a server under your ID
If you want to retain your progress you have two choices:
1. Don't apply the update.
2. Use your fathers account password to update the game. -

There probably is, but it requires that you be able to use punctuation and write in sentences so that we can understand exactly what you want.
You can block others from using your Apple ID by changing your password. There is no way to erase what was already downloaded on to someone else's device, for obvious reasons, -
To Whom It May Concern:
I bought a Mastercard Giftcard for $50 the other day. It was only because the games needed updating before I could play them again, and my card on file had expired.
I kept getting a message stating the the card was declined. Also, it kept telling me to try to put in another card, or different form of payment.
I tried several times to get the MC to go through, and it didn't. It was not even showing that the card info even updated!
When I went to check the amount of the giftcard, there were 4 pending charges of $10.89 on it.
How do I get this money back? Please let me know as soon as possible.
