Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset
If it is the gmail app you are using, you might also try deleting and reinstalling it. If you are using the built in iOS mail app, you can try deleting and re-adding the gmail account.

Yes, you should get an email if somebody replies to a thread you started or one to which you posted. I did; that's how I knew you had replied. Check up at the top of the right column of this thread. In the "Actions" box you should find "Stop email notifications" if you are subscribed to this thread.
One step you didn't list among HP's suggestions is a compound action: delete the app, reset the iPad (by holding down the home and start buttons together for ten seconds), then reinstall the app and test it. If it still falls over, I would say the HP app has not kept up with iOS changes and needs updating -- OR your iPad has developed some persistent internal corruption in its photo storage that only the HP app trips over (in which case, the app still needs updating, but it's going to be much harder for HP to determine how). -

Thanks for the reply but there is no option tab or wake for administration use in mountain lion 10.8.2, I only have the wake for network access which is on, I didnt used to have this problem before snow leopard now I have to manually re-login after computer wakes and then access remotely ........

Netflix not working on either Apple TV in the house, but will work on IPad's, macs, etc. Other apps are working on Apple TV. Any ideas?

sorry, other apps are working fine and finding the new printer. HP Officejet 8620.
I've rebooted numerous times, reloaded the software twice, spent 4 hrs on the phone with HP and 2 with Adobe. No luck. It simply doesn't show the new printer in the drop down menu for Pro or Reader and yet shows time in all in Office, Paint, Web options. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

May be slightly simple question from a new Mac user: Why can't I quit safari? I cannot quit it from top menu bar neither to do it from dock? All other apps are working normally.
Or you can actived the right button on your magic mouse and click on they icon in the dock. then you select "stop" and it's out of your dock.

i'm trying to read several interactive pdf on my ipad, but when i touch the screen it ppeares a top bar with "ok" that if i touch it closes the pdf, an upload button, & the thumbnails of the pages on the righ side of the screen appears too. Does anybody know how to avoid it? Thank's
Are you saying that all pages appear blank when you open the particular PDF document (AINF....pdf) in Adobe Reader for iOS? It may be due to a bug in Adobe Reader for iOS.
You mentioned "links"...There are three different actions that the desktop version of Adobe Reader supports for links.
Go to a page view (within the same document)
Open a web page
Open a file
Adobe Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) support the first two but does not support opening a PDF file or any other types of files.
Additionally, hyperlinks are not visible in Adobe Reader mobile products. (It used to show hyperlinks in light blue highlight. But due to customer complaints, hyperlink highlighting has been disabled.)
Please let us know if you can share your PDF document with us (Adobe). We can take a look at it and diagnose the cause of the problem. Thank you. -
When I did updates last night about videos. Now non of my apps are working. When I click on them the screen blicks on and off. Everything else see fine.

I am unable to ujpdate apps. I keep getting a message that I need to agree to the new terms and conditions, however, when I try top do so,

Ipad screen turned black in Safari.(only in Safari. other apps are working)
I was using Youtube through Safari. I clicked a video and made it full screen and then the screen turned black. It didn't show me the usual appearance of a video in Youtube.(the pause button, the progress of the video,etc) Although the games and the apps still work. I tried closing it first then opening it again. when i went back it still shows a black screen with the word Ipad and the time. Does anybody have ideas on how to put it back to its normal self? Please HELP!!!!
If this is happening using Safari it usually means that Safari has run out of internal Memory and crashes. One way to help Safari would be have as few tabs open as possible.
Note that the iPad 2 only has 512 MB of internal memory.
The later iPads have more:

iPad Air - 1 GB

when i turn on my ipad and go to settings then to icloud the ipad says account not verified. what does this mean? how can i fix it? it keeps looking and looking yet does find my account.

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you. -
I have the latiest version of Firefox. The tools tab does not contain a Sync Set Up option. Why?
It looks as if Sync was already set up. what you can do is go Tools, the options, then into the sync tab. See if an account is already connected to the computer or not.

My handoff phone call does not work with Yosemite while other apps are working
I have upgraded to Yosemite and tried the handoff with my iPhone 6. First time I tested phone call which worked. I switched off the Mac and went out. When I came back the handoff phone call didn't work anymore, while Safari, Email, etc. are still working via handoff.
Thanks for any help in advanceThe iPhone calling feature is not called, "Handoff." Using the terminology incorrectly only adds to the problem. "Handoff," is the feature where apps share documents.
Both "Phone" and "Handoff" are separate features under "Continuity."
