The Hatter - I need help (in a hurry)

The Hatter: you were a big help suggesting DiskWarrior for my problem with the G5 not starting. The disk showed up via UPS today. The Mac started from DiskWarrior, but the directory cannot be replaced because of intense errors (I'm not at the office so I don't know all the real reasons). I'm up against a go-to-print deadline this week and my art director is sitting idle because her G5 won't run. I've also had two iMacs bite the dust in the last 5 days and have spent countless hours loading up and transferring data to two eMacs to keep my sales staff in business.
I purchased a SimpleTech external USB 2.0 hard drive on the way home thinking I could load the OS for the G5 on it from my laptop (iBook G4, running Tiger) and get the G5 running from it. I can't load the OS; it will only load on the original machine.
I have a generic OS 10.3.4 disk (at the office). Will I be able to load this OS onto the external hard drive and be able to boot the G5 from it?
How can I get a drive to be recognized on the will-not-boot G5 so I can at least drag important files to it? I have many other Macs that my art director can work from, but I need my files. And then I need to get the G5 going again. It will not start up from the hard drive. Can I reinstall the OS using DiskWarrior?
I'm in a pickle. I need files from the G5 and then I need the G5 to run again. Any help you can offer will be much appreciated.

Hello! The Hatter always offers expert advice so maybe he'll be here soon. The usb 2.0 probably won't help you since it won't be bootable. It also might not let you install on it because it's most likely not formatted as the Mac file format. The generic 10.3.4 disk would only work if it was a full retail version or if was originally for that model computer. Your best course of action is probably to use Firewire Target Disk Mode with your laptop to access the files. Tom

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

If you have not done a factory reset on the device, I recommend doing a complete factory reset.
Factory Reset - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.
This method will not erase any MDN/MIN information
Turn off the phone
Press Power + Volume Up/Down at the same time and hold until display will show a triage android screen
Display will show:
Reboot system Now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reset System Now" - device will reboot
If the problem persist I recommend having a store technician take a look at the device.

Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. Was the game downloaded via another iTunes account ? All apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account will be able to make in-app purchases in them. If that is the case and you want to be able to do IAPs via the account that you are currently logged in with then you will need to delete the game (which will delete your progress in it) and then download it on your account

Depends on which Samsung flip phone you have. Does it have an SD card?
You may be able to plug the phone into the computer, allow the drivers to load, and then move the pictures to the computer. Then you could move them from the computer to the new phone.

Two computers for the same website, need help!

Hello everybody, I really need some help here!
I am working on a website at the office and to save some
time, I've send by email all the files related to it to my pc at
home. When I tried to open the pages at home, I've found problems
with visualizing the pictures, there are squares instead! The
pictures are at the same position where I've put it, but there no
images, just those squares with a draw of a tore picture inside. I
want to know if this is trivial when the files are transfered to
other computer.

I just got a new Power Book 15' and I want to have it connected to the internet. I already have my G4 connected. I have SBC yahoo DSL and I called there tech support and they said I need to buy the 2Wire Modem...but they also said I need to buy an adaptor but they didnt seem to sure on what adaptor I would need so I can have my laptop connected wirelessly. So I was wondering if you guys could help. I know I have a wireless card in my laptop but i dont know which one. If you can help let me know. Thank you

If you have a new Powerbook 15", you have an Airport Extreme wireless network interface built in. Therefore you don't need to buy anything else - your Powerbook and its built in Airport Extreme wireless network interface will work just fine with the 2Wire wireless router you are going to be getting.

Firewall problems-the PC people need help

my son, who has an imac and an isight and is running OS X took a job at a school in Mass. There appears to be a firewall and he cannot connect to me (we never had any problems before) The IT folks sent him a message to "research what ports might need to be opened on a sonic wall 3060 for it to work, what protocol the program uses, etc." This makes no sense to me, can anyone help I really want to be able to talk with and see my son. Thanks.

Calibrating the monitor. Need help!

I just bought a 27" iMac.
I am using a Spyder4Pro to calibrate the monitor.
I need to know two things:
1. Is the monitor wide gamut or standard gamut?
2. What is the backlight type (Flouresecent, White LED, or RBG LED)?

Will return your LCD panel manufacturer model number. Googeling that will turn up the data sheet for the panel.
So on my iMac I get

When I forward a mail with an image the original message has a large picture jpg or pdf but when the person receive it he can see it because its a miniature, the picture its small.

Unfortunately in a "forwarded" message that "select the size" is not present in the lower right corner.
You can try attachment tamer and see if that helps in your situation.
