The help instructions here don't match my 31.3.0 tbird. Where is help at?

When I come here for help in doing something I find unusual, I get instructions that don't match the menu choices I have on my desktop client Thunderbird 31.3.0. I'm lost trying to find instructions that match my version. What am I missing here?

Probably a menu is my guess.
Right click the tool bar and select menu bar if it does not have a tick beside it.

Am not able to install any add-ons in Firefox 11 and the suggested fixes here don't seem to work. Any suggestions?

Installed Firefox 11 and no add-ons display. Tried to install Autofill Forms and I get the message "There was an error installing AutoFill Forms. Try Again" Same for any other add-on. Also running Norton 360V6 and can't even see Norton Toolbar. Have uninstalled and reinstalled both Firefox and 360 (the latter using Norton Removal Tool). Do not have this problem with Internet Explorer or with Firefox 11 on my other computers. Just this one. Plugins from an earlier version of Firefox show up, but not any Add-Ons.

Initial Time Machine Backup. Event Store UUIDs Don't Match.

This is an initial backup and 25% (about 100 GBs) of the backup completed in 1 Hour. The remaining 75% (about 300 GBs) is stuck at the same place for 9 hours now.
I'm working on a MBP Mid-2009 15", 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X 10.5.8.
All software is up-to-date.
Backup Drive is a Seagate 2GB (USB), Formatted for Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
No 3rd Party Backup Software or 3rd Party Security installed.
Spotlight has already been re-indexed.
Name of Computer is: MBP 2013
Time Machine Buddy indicates only that the Event Store UUIDs Don't Match. No error messages. Other discussion posts say wait. Any other suggestions? Is there a way to reset the Event Store UUIDs?

Well, I dislike TM myself, never use it due to all it's quirks, & even IF it appears to work, when it comes time to use it/relly on it, you may find more quirks or nearly impossible to use.
If you wish o continue trying TM, I'll certainbly try to help, or even ask for help from others, but...

Background patterns don't match using Layered Paper template in iWeb 09

The background patterns for the Layered Paper template don't match. They look okay when I'm using iWeb but are two different shades when posted online.

I created a quick test page with that theme and have no problems with it. You might try selecting a different theme and then go back to the layered theme. Are you using that theme without messing with the options regarding choosing the background image/color/etc?

What you can redownload will depend upon what country that you are in - music, films and TV programmes can't be redownloaded in all countries, audiobooks and ringtones are one-time only downloads. What you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (if content providers/rights-holder have removed items from the store then they also won't show for redownloading)

Wow, that's weird!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

The download button as described on the HELP page doesn't appear on the page with my downloadable list of songs. How do you down load a purchase? I have made 3 purchases of the same song and can not down load it and the HELP instructions don't help.

I have made 3 purchases of the same song in an attempt to download it.
Only one of those purchases appears on the page that list purchases available to down load.
I wrote out a copy of the HELP page instructions (the page can't be printed) so I could accurately follow it as I tried to do the down load.
Is there some secret to downloading a purchase or causing the down load button to appear?

My thumb nails don't match the picture it represent.

I came up with the same fix a while back, but I just moved them instead of copying them. It worked, but I like your method better because it seems safer.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Turn by turn is NEW and free to use functionality within Maps and that was NOT in Google Maps.
Prior to you had to spend £50+ on a decent (Still do really) TBT app from Garmin or Tom Tom.
In the apps store there are 100s of Mapping apps covering a multitude of countries and regional transportation systems around the world.
GPS and walking maps are also available.
You have lost nothing really other than Street View natively.
However imo I do think flyover, and similar technologies seen competing Bing and even Google Maps looks good but is actually functionally useless.

How do I transfer video clips from iPhoto to iDVD? I followed the instructions in the help section but it did not work.

I would like to make a DVD from video clips I took of my Grandchildren. I went to the help section and it stated to click on the video clip, then click 'share' and choose 'send to iDVD'. That option was not available on the share button. How to I transfer to iDVD. Thanks for any help.

Do you plan to put each video clip in iDVD to be playes separately? If so then here's how:
1 - open iDVD and select your theme.
2 - click on the Media button at the bottom right and then on the Photo button at the top.
3 - in the search window type in ".mov" (or the extension of the video clips you plan to use).
4 - all of the video clips with the extension you entered will be displayed and you can drag them into the menu area at the left.
Another way would be to put all of the video clips in an Album and click on that album to view and drag the clips:
Remember, the order that they are added to the menu will be the order that the buttons will highlight when you scroll thru the buttons with a DVD player remote.
This will give you a menu with a separate button for each video clip (up to 12 in a menu with some themes).
If you want to play all of the clips one after another you could create a slideshow in iDVD with the "+" button at the bottom and drag the video clips into the slideshow as you would still photos. Set the slide duration to anything but manual and don't apply any transition.
That will let you play all of the clips sequentially.
