Turn it off when you're not using it. Settings>Personal Hotspot>Off

When first open a page it seems to download the page OK, but the rotating wheel on the right-hand end of the address field keeps rotating after the page is completely filled up. Then if I try to open other pages it becomes slower and eventually stops filling-in the pages, while the rotating wheel keeps rotating.
I wonder whether junk is being downloaded into my mac, or what is going on. Help will be geatly appreciated.

When was the last time you emptied the Safari cache?
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
If that didn't make a difference, go back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.
And how much free space on the startup disk?

If emptying cache or resetting didn't help and there's enough free space on the startup disk, login to another user account, launch Safari. Same problems there indicates a system wide problem. Log back into your admin account so you can check the startup disk.
Launch Disk Utility. /Applications/Utilities
Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the startup disk needs repairing, follow the instructions for Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

Nothing should "download" to your Mac unless you initiate the download yourself. You can check the Downloads folder from the Safari > Window menu or your Downloads folder in the Finder.

This is the same experience I see with both my iPad and iPhone. Doesn't seem to cause battery drain, so I just don't worry about it. My bluetooth devices work and if yours do as well, just don't worry about it.

On Windows 7, the PSE 10 process doesn't stop when closing the application, therefore the PSE 10 app. will not restart once it is closed. The user must stop the process from task manager or reboot before PSE 10 can be restarted on a Windows 7 machine. There are no updates to PSE 10 and the only access to any support is through this forum. There have been complaints about this on blogs all over the Internet. First of all, there is no difference between the files on the disk and those downloaded as the trial. The only difference is that one comes with a serial number and the other does not. You can put your serial number into the trial version and it will then be activated. The only way the disk would behave differently is if there is some physical flaw (scratches, warping, etc). Usually such damage will cause the installation to fail, it's pretty difficult for such damage to modify the files in such a way that they still install but behave differently.
If you are dropping a file on the shortcut and the Photoshop Elements Editor is opening but the file is not, there could be a few different things going on there. Check your shortcut properties first: does it go to PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe or Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe? If the former, then there are probably some missing support files. If the latter, this is the Welcome Screen, which has likely been configured to launch the Editor automatically. However, you would be sending the file to the Welcome Screen, which doesn't do anything with the file. It is not capable of passing the file off to the Editor, only capable of launching it.
Also, double-clicking a shortcut is generally the exact same thing as double-clicking the file the shortcut points to, but you can add modifiers to shortcuts to make them behave differently.

Everything is in slow motion and the hard drive doesn't stop spinning

Against my better judgement I finally upgraded to Maverick on my iMac thinking the bugs would be worked out. I upgraded on my MacBook Air on day one and that turned out to be a huge mistake. It is taking Mail 30 minutes to load, the hard drive doesn't stop, and it takes seconds for each movement once I click on something. Anything I can do to get back the performance? I understand it is too late to go back to Mountain Lion.

If you don't have one already, make a backup of all your data right away.
While most bugs in 10.9 Mavericks have been taken care of this does not stop your system from corrupting or bringing out already present issues when upgrading. Your system was likely already having problems (even if you did not know about it), an update/upgrade will bring those out.
Once you have a backup, restart your Mac from the recovery partition (restart, hold down the 'Option' key when you hear the chime and select the recovery partition, then hit enter) and open Disk Utility. In Disk Utility, select your 'Macintosh HD' in the left column and click "verify disk" on the right. If issues are found run the 'repair disk' command. Also run the 'repair permissions' command (no need to verify).
If you see 'Macintosh HD' in red lettering in the left column it means your hard drive is failing and needs to be replaced.

I try to put my iMac (Lion) in the sleeping mode. The screen becomes black but the hard disk doesn't stop. I don't see any live process in the activity monitor. This problem was not there before and I have no idea to correct it.

Then perhaps you have something now running on your system that is causing the computer not to fully sleep. You may want to open Activity Monitor to check what is running and to see if any application or process may be crashing.
You can also try creating a new, temporary user account, then logging into the new account to see if this issue ceases.

With Premiere CC when I try to do a selection (click... drag... release the click) very often it stop way before the end of the move I'm swinging the Magic Mouse. Actually, the bran new mouse is doing the same thing. What I understand after investigating on the motion and watching carefully my fingers !! - is that when I click I have to keep my finger at the EXACT same place on the mouse... drag and release and it's fine. If I click by pushing on the mouse and my finder is moving of a 1/32th of a millimeter, it will release and my selection will be to redo. You can understand my frustration ! - 75$ later... same problem, but I know that if I click with about 5 pounds of pressure and trying to pass my finger through the plastic of the mouse, it you stay steady and make it !
The problem is that scrolling is enable while clicking and it bugs.
How to disable it ??

sorry but the Magic Mouse is just useless with the new Adobe Premiere CC and since I'm not the only one but can't find answer this is really disappointing. This mouse is just fantastic and now I have to swap from a USB mouse to the Magic Mouse every times I do some editing. My USB mouse if hurting my hand somehow and I want to got back to the Magic Mouse asap. Please - for sure there is a simple solution !

I am abroad for the summer and there is no internet available. I purchased a hotspot in a nearby vodaphone and they helped me connect the Ipad to the hotspot. I assumed I would have no trouble after that. Once I got home though and connected to the hotspot i found i could not open the internet without getting a notice about not connecting to the server. I have a signal and can connect to the hotspot and yet i get no internet. I already spent 50 euro on the hotspot for 2 months of wifi...is there a way to actually fix the problem without me having to spend more money?

I'm guessing e mail does not work either. While the pad is seeing the network, it is not yet connecting, probably trying to work through your security set up. I suggest you go to settings, then network, then the details of the network. Do you see an ip address that starts with 192.168.1. Then some number? If not, the router has not made friends with the pad.
Suggest that from that same screen, you select 'forget this network'. Then start over again, paying close attention to what happens when you provide the security password.

Try restarting your router as a first thing, this sometimes works for me.

It can't draw "too much" power, it can only draw as much as the USB port is able to provide and no more. IIRC, the keyboard port has a lower power output than the iMac's port.
That being said, yea, it's possible that the port has failed and it can be replaced or if another port works you can use that one. Although if it is still under warranty or covered by Apple Care, then I would take it to an Apple Store or service provider to get the port repaired.

To use the hotspot for any of those devices, I believe you have to switch to a postpaid account and plan. You can see the pricing for the available postpaid plans under the "Shop" area of the website.
