The icon to allow me to open my Password Keeper on my Curve 9360 has "disappeared".
I have put a number of key passwords in the Password Keeper on my Curve 9360, but now I cannot find the icon with which to open Password Keeper. Can you tell me how to open Password Keeper?
On the home screen hit the menu key and select "show all". Once you do that then check every folder and make sure it didn't get moved. Once you find it, put your cursor over it and hit the menu key and select "unhide icon" if it's hidden.

First thing I did was download Chrome and I tried using that and IE again and surprise! I was having the same problem on those browsers as well. So now we know it wasn't Firefox. I then figured maybe a slow computer meant a virus, so I ran scans. I've had both Avast and IOBit for months now and I've never had a problem with either of them before. Then I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran a third scan. They all picked some stuff up, but nothing serious. Then I tried disabling all the antivirus stuff and that didn't solve anything. But then I decided to keep Malwarebytes and I uninstalled IOBit Security and whammo - problem solved.
I have no idea why out of the blue IOBit would be causing a problem like this so if someone knows, please let me in on the secret. Additionally, IE was working fairly well last night but not this morning. I also don't know why removing IOBit would take care of the nsAppShell issue, because supposedly, that's related to Firefox plug ins. And one more thing...when Comcast hooked my neighbor up to cable, they did it by putting a splitter on my line. They were messing about with the lines yesterday before I got on my computer last night trying to decide how to rerun them and today they did that, taking the splitter off my line and giving my neighbor his own line. That was finished about 30 minutes before I uninstalled IOBit. So....who knows?
But I ain't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. I have my Firefox back and I am so sorry for bad mouthing you last night - I love you, Firefox! -
I recently updated to Firefox 8 and ever since I have done that, I can't get it to open. Every time I click on the icon on my desktop to open it, it crashes. I have tried all the steps in the Firefox crashes article and I can't figure out what is wrong. How can I fix this?

The icon that allows connection to multiple speakers is gone, how do i get it back?
I am not sure how, but the icon that allows for mulitple speakers has disappeared from my Itunes. How do I get it back? I had a problem with Bonjuor and I believe this is the cause of the issue, but I reloaded it and I still don't have the icon. Apple TV can connect to my library, but I have no control over multiple speakers from my PC. I alos have an Airport Express running off this same system.
youre voice to text option is not gone.Please go into settings and get into accessibility and turn on voice selection.If voice selection is on please restart the iphone.Also turn on siri.

2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.

Am using Safari 6.0.5, suddenly my Yahoo mail account won't keep me logged in and the 'keep me logged in' button has disappeared. It is still there on Chrome so am assuming it is a Safari issue. It just happened suddenly. Have reset Safari, cache and also changed my Yahoo password but problem is still there.
I still don't understand what the problem that you are experiencing is. If you get to a page where yahoo is asking JUST for your password, and there is no box for username (it may have your username displayed, but not in a enter box), then you ARE "being kept signed in" You can verify this by instead of entering your password, go to www.yahoo.com home page, and it will say something like "Hi, Amber" This means you ARE signed in.
When you get that page asking for just your password, you are NOT being asked to sign in again. You are simply being asked to verify/enter your assword an Nth time. If you get that page right after entering your username and password, try clicking the "back" (previous page) button. It might just go to your inbox.
If this is the case, your problem has nothing to do with being kept signed in or not, the problem is that for some (unknown to me) reason, yahoo is asking you to re-enter your password, kind of like when your mac asks for your mac password when changing system settings. Yahoo does this as a safety feature when you go to account settings, and apparently abritary other times. I wish I understood just why I get it every time after signing in.
It could be because I have java turned off. It could be because I don't accept third party cookies. Maybe a cache file. Or a hundred other things... I don't know. It could simply be yahoo is scrooing safari users. I have glanced at the html, but to really understand it, it would take me days. There are over 25 places where username and password are in the html "source" code of the yahoo login page, and even understanding that may not tell me. In the past, I have seen code essentiall saying "if IE x.3.2" do this, if chrome do that, if mozilla do something else, otherwise make it next to impossible...."
My problem is not only I get asked for my assword a second time, but also (and only very recently) I do not get a prompt to save username and pasword. I have gone to yahoo help pages to try to figure it out, and I feel like I just run in circles. If one wants to send a question in, they have to answer half a dozen questions disclosing private information. And I pay yahoo $20/year. grrr
If when you are trying to access your yahoo mail and you are being asked to enter both your username and password, but didn't sign out of yahoo, then indeed your are not being "kept signed in" -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

Because the Ask Toolbar (a custom version I think) is sometimes installed (or offered to be installed) with other programs, such as Foxit Reader.

There is a dialog box that appears when I click on an email attachment that asks whether to open or save a .pdf document, and whether I always want that action to be taken. However, when clicking a .doc or .docx document, I no longer have the choice. How can I revive the dialog box to choose to 'open' the file rather than being forced to 'save' the file?
Try to clear the cache.

You can rename such files with a .html file extension and give them a .jpg file extension to make applications see them as an image.<br />
If Windows is stubborn and keeps the .html file extension and you end up with image.jpg.html then add quotes around the name ("image.jpg") -
Will boot camp, VMware, or Paralles allow me to open a password protected powerpoint file?
Everyting I'm reading says I have to use either a windows computer, or have the creator send the document to me as unprotected.
Seems like if you didn't have access to a windows computer, and didn't have time to wait for the creator to send a new version, there would be a work around.
I've moved over Mac, and am trying to convince my wife to do the same. However, she's concerned that since she runs her legal firm out of her home office, she will run into situation in which can can get something done if she's on a Mac. I almost had her convinced this would never happen, and then she got this password protected powerpoint that she had to share with another attorney, who responded to her that when she tried to open it, she got a message that it couldn't open a password protected document. I tried it on my Macbook Pro and got the same message.
Anyone know if there's an easy work around for this?
(p.s. I saw a post where someone used NeoOffice for a similar situation with a password protected Excel document, but since I'm on Lion and it requires a $10 donation, I didn't want to shell out $10 just to find out it wouldn't work.)

Because you really are running a full-up Windows inside a window running on Lion....
VMWare emulates a hardware computer.... and you install Windows, then Microsoft Office for Windows...
And you end up with a "machine within a machine"...
BUT... BUT....
You have to purchase one of each:
VMWare Fusion
Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Office for Windows (not the same license as Microsoft Office for MAC..)
This won't be cheap... it will cost money...

At some point or another I clicked "allow" for my firefox to cease opening windows in the app view of my Microsoft Surface Pro. They currently are only opening on the desktop view. How do i switch this back to the app view?
I'm sorry, but I tried what you said, but it did not work and I dont see how changing the pop-up configuration should affect my use of the firefox app. However, i do not understand much at all about this !
Let me rephrase my problem: even from the tiled start screen, if i click on the app icon, it brings me back to my desktop. I much prefer the app version of fire fox. The desktop view is hard to read because everything is tiny and i cant swipe to change between firefox screens.
Does this make sense at all?
With internet explorer it was as simple as Settings>internet options>programs> uncheck the box titled "open internet explorer tiles on desktop".
