The icons of the blog posts that I visit do not change to show my visit. eg. I used to be able to see the orange blogger symbol when I visited that blog post.

I subscribe to blogs via RSS (whatever that means) and new blog posts show up in my bookmark menu ....... they show up with a grey unassuming icon at the beginning of the blog post bookmark.
Months ago the appearance of the bookmarks would "change" when I visited the post ..... eg. for blogger posts the icon would turn into the traditional orange blogger symbol.
But for many many months now the icons don't change with the visit and it's getting difficult to remember if I've visited that blog post or not by looking at the bookmark itself.
How can I get the bookmark to update/refresh when I visit a blog post?

I see a faded RSS feed icon for live bookmark items that turn into the website's favicon after having visited the link.
There may be a problem with the favicons if you get the generic default icon instead of the website's favicon.
You can try to repair the places database with this extension:

You can to remove all stored data from that domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) to see if that will reset the favicon if the above posted steps didn't help.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious if you need to keep passwords or other data from that site.<br />
You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.<br />

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Use a alias, but you might have to use a zip code that matches the location used.
Also if you click the right button there is a way to bypass the registration, like register later or something, Apple has it hidden. Also to bypass the internet connection to send the registration off.
Never place your name on a Mac or PC, it's spread throughout the entire machine, in emails, on the network in plain sight etc.

In the privacy part of Options, I used to be able to see in a window ALL the cookies that have been installed, and I could pick and choose which ones I want to remove. I guess that was just too much control to give to us, so you had to eliminate that feature, right?

Yes, that appears how Mavericks works right now. However, you can open the Address Panel, select all your contacts, then click the To (or CC, or Bcc) buttons to move the selection to the address field.
If it is not already in the Toolbar, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar…
Then, drag the address panel up to wherever you want it.
You may also want to add it to the New Message window in the same way.

are you zoomed in too far to see that part of the layer that has content? Does the layer you have selected definitely have content? Try using Ctrl/Cmd 0 to zoom back to fit to screen.

You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
Restart phone
Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure in the phone that needs evaluation by Apple.

Here are two "Menu" add-ons which alter the Menu bar into one button.
With this one you can move the new "Menu" button into the Customize Palette, and then when you hit the '''Alt''' key the "Menu will open down from the Titlebar on the left. Won't affect the action of the Firefox button when you de-select the Menu Bar.<br />

Go to the iTunes preferences, go to the Store tab and check to see if the Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases. Also check to see if any purchases are hidden as well.

In contacts why did they change the search view we used to be able to see more contacts per screen?

I have used a 7520 and an 8700 now I have an 8300 and I am sad to say the contacts view looks more like pocket pc then the traditional easy to see blackberry view where you could see many contacts easy on the screen . The old way when you were searching for a contact the search results would show one line per contact instead of the contact taking up two lines...when viewing on the screen. when you can view one contact per line you can see more contacts is there a way to get back to the old view where you would see one line per contact when keyword searching in contacts?

I used to be able to see each website I had open in the taskbar. Now, whatever setting I try, all I can see is the Firefox logo.

Hello. I have switched laptops to a Windows 7 refurb. On my old computer, when I had any window open in Firefox, I was able to see the name of the site in a small block in the taskbar at a glance without hovering. For example, when I had Facebook open, the block/tab said "Facebook" and I was able to see if I had any notifications. (The pages were not pinned.) Now, all I can see for any window is the Mozilla logo. I have tried all kinds of settings on Firefox as well as in Windows for tabs, etc. How can I see each window "in miniature" before?
I also cannot see the "Firefox" dropdown menu in the upper lefthand corner of the window when it is fully open. All I have is the Mozilla logo, not the word "Firefox" with an arrow.

Thanks for replying Larry. Takes a while, but I can see them in Bridge. I have to say that I'm not happy with this though. If I'm working with 10 or 20 or 30 ai files on my desktop, I really want to be able to see them easy as pie. Everything seemed fine in Adobe CC 2014.... but not since this 18.1.1 Sure hope this is just a bug that will soon be fixed! (And if it is a bug, how do I report it and/or get it fixed)?
