The infamous white screen - can you help?

A friend edited a video with Final Cut Pro and then exported to Quicktime format so that I could watch it on my laptop. But when I play it in Quicktime, I can hear the sound but only see a white screen. When I double click the file, Quicktime opens and up pops a message:
"Some necessary Quicktime software is missing. etc etc"
But once I am taken to the Apple site, I have no idea which of those codecs I need to download.
If it helps, the clip I'm trying to watch is 1920x1080 and under 'codecs', the following are listed - HDV 1080i50, Integer (Little Endian), Timecode.
Any advice as to how I can watch this clip in Quicktime?

The FCP export used video codecs not supported outside that app. Meant for one FCP user to another.
They should export using H.264 Video codec so any version 7 user could view the file in QuickTime.

The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Try to quit the app by double clicking the Home button and in the multitasking menu tap an hold the Mail app until it starts to wiggle and tap the that appears.
Also try to reset the device by holding then Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for 10 seconds until the Apple logo apears.

File transfer by bluetooth is not supported on the iPhone. There are a few apps in the app store that permit the transferring of photos by bluetooth, but this is only iPhone to iPhone. Fact is, you can't do what you're trying to do, so you can quit trying.

It's now called Tones. Go to iTunes menu EDIT/PRFERENCES under GENERAL tab, check the Tones Box under Library source to display Tones library in iTunes.
