There's nothing unusual about that, as the SIM standard is not written to support external data exchanges. In order to synchronize your SIM-stored data, you must first copy or move each contact record into the memory location on your device reserved for contact records not stored on the SIM.

Every time I switch on the iPhone, the iTunes icon is displayed together with a USB icon and Emergency call message appears on the screen in many languages. When I touch the i symbol I get the following information IMEI: **** AND ICCID: ****
However, the iphone is visible in the Devices directory in iTunes. I changed my SIM card but still can not be recognized by the iPhone.

Do you mean when you say its locked to another carrier other then the one im using, that maybe my insurance sent me an iphone thats for a different network for example orange and not mine which is o2?

ok so i have iphone3gs and i just updated my itunes but after its done my phone isnt working with my sim card ! i have tmobile and i know tmobile doesnt have iphones but ive had this phone for 4 months now and it was working perfectly untill i updated it !

It sounds like you iphone has been hacked to unlock it.
When a hacked iphone is updated it is locked back to the rightful carrier.
You will need to ask whomever sold you the iphone, which carrier it is locked with, then contact that carrier and see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify for it.
It is likely AT&T.

Are you talking about the English dictionary? Mine seems to work ok on the AZ republic web page. Does yours not work on all webpages? Does it not work when you type an English word in Notes and then do select and define?

The menu button on my tablet does not appear when using firefox Aurora

1. There is no entry in my list of application
2. Firefox does not invoke the menu "soft button" on my tablet. I see the backup, HomePage and ActiveApplications, but not the menu button

No I did not make a copy of my address book.
Some information was moved over, many did not.
I do not see a pattern.
I think all the info is still on the hard drive, I just don't know how to recover it.

I open my email and the Bing search box appears, this does not happen when using Internet Explorer

When using the browser, when I go to aolmail and open my email account and click on my mail to open a message to read. The mail opens and content shows for a quick second and then goes blank. The Bing search box appears in the email content section. If I use internet explorer there is no problem. The email can be read. I am using firefox 3.6.15, home vista.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Try using file:/// instead of file:/.

But I'd probably recommend copying the .FLV file into your Builder project or putting it online instead of trying to play it back from a hardcoded file:/// path.

When playing any audio the audio quality on my Thunderbolt display steadily worsens over an hour period and becomes garbled. Restarting the media player fixes it. Does not occur when MacBook Pro is undocked.

When playing audio/video on my MacBook Pro docked to Thunderbolt display the audio quality steadily worsens until it is garbled beyond understanding. I don't know if it occurs when using the MacBook undocked. It takes about an hour to become noticeable and steadily worsens. Simultaneously when the computer speaks the time this is also gargled. As the problem develops it sounds like there is a static halo around each spoken word.
