I'm looking to test out Acrobat's OCR functionality (converting PDF to .docx format). I've successfully downloaded the installer (through the Adobe Downloader Assistant), but every time I attempt the installation, I see the following screen:
How can I get this installation to work? Again, my goal is to test the OCR function of Acrobat XI Pro on a free trial. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I keep my C:\ and data storage drive separate so in the event the OS crashes I won't lose my data. having data on a different drive is a good idea. installing programs on a drive different from you os containing drive is generally not a good idea. but if you have the expertise and are sure of what you're doing:

All the forum responses I've seen show going to manage add-ons in IE and to enable the plugin. I do not have an Adobe Reader 10.1.0 plugin under any add-ons to enable. Due to other application dependencies I cannot upgrade to Reader 11, though I know the Plugin does appear when I install Reader 11. How do I get the matching plugin for 10.1.0? i)Adobe Reader 10.1.0. OS is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64bit v1.0. We utilize IE8 32bit browser.
ii)Due to other applications we currently cannot upgrade company wide yet, so 10.1 is not yet an option. I did test locally and 10.1 did solve the issue, but that won't work for us at this time. I need to find a way to add the plugin for 10.1.0 back to IE for employees. It used to exist but something changed recently as PDFs stopped launching within IE window. On all the support sites I see, people reference enabling the Reader 10.1 plugin within IE, so it must exist, I just need to understand how we can re-install it.

Does your purchased rmusic appears under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) ? If they do and you don't have the cloud symbol against them so as to re-download them, then do you still have the entries for them in your library i.e. where you would normally click on them to play them ? If you do then try deleting them from there (iTunes will be seeing them and assuming that you still have them somewhere) and they should then get the cloud symbol for re-downloading in the Purchased link.
If you aren't in a country where music can be re-downloaded then you could try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page,

When I trashed the QT player 10 and clicked on the .3g2 movie file, it didn't automatically open with QT 7 Pro. Instead a window opened wanting to convert the file to Flash. How can I install Adobe Acrobat without installing the browser extensions?

Hello All,
I am a computer Technician at a high school and we have very strict browser requirements for different services. We need to use Adobe Acrobat to convert PDF's, and other tasks, and we need to use Chrome to open Adobe Reader files. The issue is that I want my 3 browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) to open PDF files using Adobe Reader XI. All my plugin settings are correct to use Adobe Reader to open PDF's, but it either downloads a PDF to the computer, or opens up in the browsers default reader (Chrome does this), or opens up to a blank page with a blank error message. I went into the programs Internet settings for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat and it's telling me the browser opens them up using Adobe Acrobat (With no option to change the setting). The problem is only solved when I uninstall Adobe Acrobat.Then I am able to open PDF's in Adobe Reader just like I want (but this gets rids of Acrobat). This leads me to believe that when I install Adobe Acrobat, there is a registry key or something that is telling the computer to open PDF's in browsers using Acrobat. My initial question is this: How can I install adobe Acrobat without linking it to the browser. I JUST want Adobe Acrobat as a program installed on the computer.
Additional Info:
- I build a computer image and use that image on several computers. This issue persists with all of the computers I installed the image on.
- I am using Adobe Reader 11 (Now DC, but I am willing to use either) and Adobe Acrobat Pro CS3 (I think it's version 9?)
