The installer does not create /etc

Trying to install Arch but the installer won't create any /etc folder on the mount... (/mnt/etc). So when I get to the point where I'm supposed to edit all the settings, none of the files exist...
Anyone have a solution?

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your problem but I had a similar issue when installing arch on a laptop for a friend. I was using Archlinux-i686-2007.08-2.ftp.iso and all the conf files were empty. I tried installing three or four times and always the same thing. Then I downloaded and used Archlinux-i686-2008.03-1-archboot.ftp.iso and everything installed fine.

When an app update is available in the ipad appstore, a WAITING message appears under the app and the installation does not proceed

When updates are available in the ipad app store, I click on install and under the app a WAITING message appears. No installation is done and the message does not disappear. I have tried hard and soft resets without success. The ipad (1st gen) runs under iOS 5.0.1. I now have 5 apps waiting for installation of updates.

You can also finish the downloads in iTunes on your computer and then sync the updates to the iPad. From the iTunes menu on your computer go to Store>Check for Available Downloads.

Acrobat 8 installation does not create a "Adobe PDF" printer device on Vista

On a new Windows Vista Premium system I installed a new (not upgrade) Adobe CS3 Design Suite. Everything installed properly (it did before on a Windows XP SP2 system) but the Adobe PDF Printer doesn't appear at all!

The symptoms and possible workarounds didn't seem to apply and a couple of the suggestions (disabling certain services) didn't look right. But throughout the KB article it indicating doing a reinstall of Acrobat using the Help menu to do a Repair.
So, I selected the Repair command on the Help menu WITHOUT doing any of their recommendations and lo-n-behold, the Adobe PDF driver appeared! What am I missing??? It does work but I am suspicious.

OER Installer does not create Weblogic Doamin

I'm trying to install OER (OER10300_win32.exe) on weblogic 10.3 (windows environment).
Once the installation completed, the installation process created "repository103" folder under WLS10.3 home (like D:\Bea\repository103), it also creates a domain folder under "D:\Bea\user_projects\domains" using the name what i've given at the installation time as domain name.
Details what i've given at installation time
Domain Name: oer_domain
Port Number : 7101
Fully qualified server name : kathir
PROBLEM:
Under the domain (oer_domain) i have only one folder named as "applications".
I do not have files or folder related to WLS domain.
Questions:
1)Am i using the correct installer?
2)If i'm using the correct installer, how to start or how to view the OER console?
Note:
1) Initially I’ve tried with tomcat, it is working fine
2) When I’m trying on Weblogic10.3 I’m using existing DB. I've skipped the Schema creation part when installing OER10.3.

The compatible installables are OER10300 ( Oracle Enterprise Repository) and server103 (Weblogic 10.3 )
Note: OER is not compatible with weblogic 10.3.1
1. The port which you are using is 7101. Make sure that no other application is using that port. I have used port number 7201
2. The fully qualified server name must be your_server_name.your_domain_name

Installer does not create directories/files in APPDATA directory

I have an installer that installs the application into the Program Files directory, and additionally, is supposed to create application files and a directory structure in the Public App Data (%APPDATA%) directory of the Windows installation. In the LV Build Specification, I have created the appropriate destinations, moved the project specific files to those destinations in the Source File section, and tried combinations of the source file properties. When I run the installer, the application installs into Program Files correctly, however, nothing is created in %APPDATA%. I have even marked these files as vital to the installation, in order to stop, if there's a problem. No problem was indicated during the installation.

I build a little istaller and told the installer to put something in the appdata directory as you can see in the attached files. After installing it, I found the file in the right directory.
Did you do this in the same way?

The installation does not start when I log in to Adobe Download Assistant.

When I downloaded the program (Ae) it took me to the download assistant; which allows you to sign and start the installation process on its own. I am having a problem with the installation starting when I sign in. Once I sign in it gives me some programs I could download, but are not what I am looking for. Please help.

What computer/OS are you trying to download After Effects on?
Make sure that your computer meets the System requirements for running After Effects. For example, AE requires a 64-bit operating system. If you're on a 32-bit version, you will be unable to install AE.
If you meet the system requirements, try one of the following:
Restart the browser and from the website, try downloading After Effects again.
Sign in to Adobe Download Assistant, and then from the Show Me menu choose Video, and then click the left/right arrows till you find After Effects CS6.

I have XP SP 3 but the installation does not update to higher than 11.0

Whatever i do, the version of Firefox does not go over 11.0. The old one keeps crashing.

I have a 64 bit system running Win 7, but the installation does not recognise the 64 bit download as suitable for 64 bit system.

I am trying to install Itunes on my new Laptop and it is a 64 bit system. I have downloaded the 64 bit Itunes and when I try to install it, the error is that the program is not suitable for 64 bit system.
The same happens for 32 bit download of Itunes.

Suddenly, the "+" tab, when clicked on, does nothing. Right-clicking on the "+" and choosing "new tab" fails to function. All 5 boxes under Tools/Options/Tabs are enabled. What do I need to do to re-enable the new tab function?

try a different usb port, or try the wall charger, change ipod usb wire, turn ipod on to see if the low battery screen pops up by holding onto the switch above the ipod. try that stuff

Weblogic 10.3.2.0 installation does not pick the right JDK

The installation does not pick up the right jdk version that is jdk 11.6.0_11 . Although the machine is running the same. Instead it picks up jdk 1.6.0_14. have tested the machine many times. I am Installing Oracle SOA Suite 11g.

Inside "startWebLogic.sh" file add the JAVA_HOME like following (just below the "setDomainEnv.sh" call):
JAVA_HOME=C:\bea103\jdk1.6.0_17

J2EE ADDIn INSTALLATION DOES NOT MOVE AFTER ABAP UME STAGE

I am installing java add-in for ABAP system for NW2004s SR2 system. I am able to complete SCS and DB instances. But during installation of CI at step u201CSAP system > ABAP UME u201Cafter
pressing u201CNext u201Cbutton the installation does not continue without any
warning or error message, It asks for SDM password and J2EE_ADMIN password, even after I give the password, the installation does not go forward. After pressing next it still comes to the same step.
I had done a proper un-install through SAPinst, cleaned up all the j2ee and SDM folders manually, changed the jdk version, etc and tried, but still the same issue.
I had created j2ee_admin, sapjsf, j2ee_guest users manually, cleared j2ee and SDM folders manually and tried to re-install but the same issue.
There are no error messages or logs given, but just the issue. Any help at the earliest would be appreciable.
