The installer will not work
I downloaded the installer for the latest Quicktime, but when I get to the end of the installation I get this:

do you have an x64 or a standard version of XP Pro, waffleicious? that can make a difference when troubleshooting a 0x80040707. if you've got an x64, it'll say so in the screen described in this KB doc:

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 but my PC is not recognizing my CDRom and I cannot download the program. I tried copying the files on the program disc to my hard drive but get a message the installer will not work. I have the redemption code and serial numbers. Can I download the program online somewhere? If I download a trial version for instance will it allow me to enter my serial number and use it for the full program?

I bought the Keynote app for my MacBook, but when I open the application and try to install it, I get an error message saying that the application will not work with my MacBook. What gives? And, can I please request a refund? ($19.99 = a week's groceries).

Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download

shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired

Reinstall Keynote by logging into the Mac App Store using download / install -
The button on my Ipod Touch (the big one just below the screen) will not work when I press it. Nothing happens, when before it would wake my IPod out of sleep mode, and exit out of programs I was using (ex. ITunes or Safari to main screen) . Now, no reactions. When I press the button, it appears to be more indented then it was before. What should I do? Do I need to get it fixed or replaced, or is this a problem I can fix on my own? Whatever it is, I really need some advice. Thanks in advance.

On my MacBook Pro, sometimes when I click to close tabs in Safari the button will not work. I have to click on some other part of the screen and then it will. This happens in other programs like Word/Excel for changing font, etc. Solution/Suggestions?

After downloading and installing Adobe Flash Player 11.6 on my HP Laptop w/ Windows 7, The player will not work. Every time i click on a video it tells me that i need to install Adobe Flash Player. I have a licensed copy of Adobe Acrobat X Pro for Windows. I recently switched over to MAC OS and would like to move my Adobe X Pro over but the CD will not work for Mac OS? Can anyone assist me with this conversion?

James.you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party. -
The sounds are working on my i phone but the ringer will not work...it will only vibrate. I have the volume set at high.
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
Have you tried ALL the troubleshooting steps? If you have and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible exchange. -
I have the right serial number to install arabic onto Ai, but the installer will not accept the serial number
I'm also getting the "invalid serial number", but I'm wanting to upgrade my 5.1 to 5.1.4 to take advantage of HDV 720p/24 support. Is the 5.1.4 update even an option still? I really don't want to be forced to upgrade to FCS2 and shell out $500, just to get this one feature that was included in a patch.
I went to the Registration page and it actually allowed me to register the serial number... (which I'm pretty sure I already had), but it still won't let me in to download any updates. Also, the email confirmation that was supposed to be sent has not arrived 20+ minutes later.
Very strange. I called Apple support and they estimated a wait time of 15 mins... ugh.
Anyone have other suggestions? -
I retrieved my serial number for Acrobat 8 Standard from Adobe because my system crashed. I went to the downloads and can only retrieve Acrobat 8 Pro. The installer will not take my serial number what can I do?

So I just ordered my first Mac book Pro. I took it out of the box and hit the power button to do the start up and the screen will not work at all. I shut the computer off and back on again. I plugged it in and unplugged it. I've done everything I can think of and the screen still stays blank with no life at all
Is the battery charged? Press the little button on the left edge, near the front. If no green dots, no charge.
Does it charge? When you connect the MagSafe charger, does the pilot light on the plug light up?
Does it actually start? Should sound a chime after you press the power button on the top/right corner. If it chimes, does the Caps Lock pilot light when you press it?
If it starts and Caps Lock does flash on and off, have you tried pressing the screen brightness control for awhile? F2 turns up the brightness, may be turned fully down. -

I cannot open my phone as the screen will not work. I have made an appointment with a technician tomorrow but is there anyway of backing my phone up to Icloud so that I do not lose any of photos etc etc?
PLug it into yrou computer to sync/back it up.
Is it set to back up to iCloud now?
Or do you have wifi backup enabled in iTunes?
Plug it in while on wifi and it will automatically back up. -
