The iOS update did NOT cause the problem. Your hardware was defective from the beginning, and the extra power used during the update process is what revealed the problem.
Are you within your warranty period? Then it will be fixed for free.
Are you outside of your warranty period? Then it will cost between $149 to $229 for you to get a replacement device with a 90 day warranty from Apple.

I completed the iOS 7.0.2 update and now my screen is locked in the Connect to iTunes position. I am not near my home computer so I cannot connect to iTunes. Please let me know if there is a way to recover this without connecting to a computer.
Use iTunes on any computer to restore your iPhone. Your data
will be gone, but your iPhone will be functioning. You can restore
when you get home.

I have iphone4s in Shanghai, China, but I cannot use it to make a phone outside Shanghai. I have already changeded my SIM card and upgraded the iOS to 5.1 vision. Now can I slove it?
It's not clear what you mean. Do you mean you can't place a call to anyone outside of Shangai? That would be an issue with the calling plan you have with your carrier. Contact them. Likewise, if you can not place a call when you are outside your coverage area, that is also a carrier issue. If you are trying to use a different carrier while travelling, it's possible your phone is carrier locked and you can not use the carrier you are trying to use.

I bought my 6 plus last night decided to upgrade the IOS 8 like they suggest and now all I see is a white screen with the apple sign in the middle with an occasional flashing red screen. Did my new phone seriously just crash? What do I do now? I left it overnight with the white screen, thinking maybe it'll go away and needs time to upgrade. Woke up this morning, nope still white screen. Very disappointed with Apple. I was so excited to get my phone and can't even use it right now.
First turn the iPhone off and back on and see if it works. If that doesn't work then do a Reset by holding the Sleep / Wake Button (The Power Button) and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple Logo appears, the release both Buttons and wait until a Full Reset occurs. The iPhone 6 should come back to your Lock-Screen. If that doesn't work then you could connect the iPhone 6 via the Lightning Cable to a Computer with a Current Version of iTunes. Then open iTunes on the Computer and wait until your see a Button that represents your attached iPhone and click on it. This should bring up a Summary Screen on the Computer within iTunes. At that point your can choose Update Software if an Update is available or Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings / New In The Box, or you could try to Restore from your Backup if a current Backup had already been saved from a previous iPhone.
If you don't have a computer with iTunes and you can get the iPhone back on, then go to Settings>General>Software Update and see if the iPhone is still on iOS 8.0 or if it is now on iOS 8.0.2 -

I downloaded the iOS 7.0.2 update and now my iPad is stuck on stupid
Downloaded iOS 7.0.2 , when ipad shut down to restart and install, it got stuck flashing back and forth from reboot screen with the apple logo on it, and my lock screen. It's been flashing back and forth for about 45 mins now and I'm about ready to throw it out a window...along with my iPhone 5 bc I dislike iOS 7 very much.

The iOS 6 Contacts groups works backwards now!! "It wasn't broke, Don't fix it!!"
IOS 6 Update changed how selecting groups works to be backwards. I have a ton of groups by trade, type, etc. in previous IOS versions (same as Mountain Lion on my mac) I could select a group and it would only show the contacts in that group. NOW it removes the selected group from the "ALL Contacts" list (TOTALLY BACKWARDS!!) Therefore if I only want to see my "Plumbing Contacts" I have to unselect the other 50 groups!! Far from efficient. Anybody know of a setting you can change? Or did Apple Goof? I haven't been able to find anything on the phone to fix this problem.

I have downloaded ios 7.2 update for my ipad and now my screen is locked and shows a picture of a plug and the itunes symbol. Does anyone have advice to fix this frustrating problem? Last night on my phone i insalled the neew software ios6 and this morning when i woke up and it has done was show the silver apple and the loading symbol thing. The loader hasnt moved from its position since its been on. I dont know what to do to get my phone to turn back on and i need it extremely bad. Please help me!

The steps detailed below can help stabilize your iPhone.
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. My phone has been dropping calls on a massive scale. If I receive a text or email, my calls drop. I opened my mail to retrieve a msg and my mailbox graphics was gone. Voice activation and music starts on its own without me even touching my phone. Apps can't be installed on wifi or 3G. The echo from my headset is very annoying. I cant adjust my vibration settings because it doesn't vibrate on silent. It hasn't been dropped or wet. This just started last week when I upgraded to ios6!
If a hardware problem, hardware can fail at any time.
What troubleshoot steps have you tried if any such as powering the iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset which is similar to a computer restart, restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup or as a new iPhone or not from the backup?
If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem. -

Try to reset the device:
*Device reset*
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally. -
I updated the ios on my ipod touch. Now when I browse the itunes store on my ipod, it only allows a very brief visit before automatically closing me out. I have to go back into the store and begin searches etc all over again. Is this a setting or a problem that is randomly occuring? I use to look for hours. Any thoughts?

i have recently updated my iphone to the ios 7.0.2 version and now the text message bubble has changed from blue to green, is this as it should be?
You will need to purchase the upgrade CD for 10.6 from the Apple Online store, OR you can likely get one at an Apple Retail Store. It is the last version that was available on CD. After 10.6, the upgrades are available in the Mac App Store.

[BTW... I was doing my update wirelessly without using iTunes or plugging my phone into the computer.]
I was scared to touch any buttons while it was in the middle of a OS update. I talked to Apple support, and they had me try the following:
1. Hold the power button to see if it went away. [It did not go away, so they went to option 2.]
2. Plug the phone into my computer with iTunes open. [I could not do this b/c I'm in the middle of downloading the iTunes update. So, they had me to to option 3.]
3. Hold power button and homescreen button until the frozen screen goes away and the reboot screen with just the apple shows... just like when you reboot your phone for any other reason.
The last one worked. It ended up going back to the apple with the progress bar, and the install went all the way. It was a bit slow to load the last 1/4, but it worked. Then, the phone went back to just the apple reboot screen. I was concerned because it sat there a couple minutes, but then the iOS 6 configuration screen appeared.
Now we shall see how the rest of this goes..... -
Does the iOS 7.0.3 work good on iPhone 4?
Can somebody please tell if this works good, I haven't update it yet, I saw so many people complaining about the iOS 7 on iPhone 4 but now with this 7.0.3 update I would like to know if it works okay.

You know about 9 and 6 of them that are having problems? The rest of us worked through them and have no problems now. I think that the odds are in Apple's favor here.
If you don't like the new iOS, why don't you buy an android or windows phone? Better yet, get the newest iPhone instead of calling people out in this forum? This is a place for people to come and help one another so why don't you take that BS coming out of your keyboard and leave everyone else alone?!
