I get this message error when trying to update MONOPOLY game, I even removed the game and re-installed but get this error when buying. Any solution?

Just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes. Now I get the message "the Item you requested is not currently available in the US store." When I click on OK, the dialgue goes away, but the store doesn't open. How do I fix this?

Not sure why I am getting this message anyway. I wasn't trying to buy anything. I just upgraded and then I tried to access the store. I had two purchases that I had previously made from a different computer. I was going to download them to this computer as my iPod is synced to this computer and you can only sync it to one computer. I was able to view my account information and from there I was able to click on the Purchased link. I saw the two items and downloaded them. But I received an error about the second album. It said that I didn't have sufficient privileges. When I checked all the songs had downloaded. Only the booklet was missing. Maybe this has something to do with the issue, I don't know. As far as I know, I purchased everything from the US store. I don't even know how to switch to a different store.
In any case, I can't access the store because the item I requested is not currently available in the US store. So why don't they just dump me at the home page instead of blocking me completely.

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

So I went to download Mr.jump and it did nothing so I closed the App Store and went back on it to find when I go on the featured section it said "the item you requested is not avabilble in the they uk App Store I've tried rebooting and it did not help.

How can I download my issues with Reader's Digest when each time a pop appears and reads " the item you tried to buy is no longer available"?

I can no longer download my purchased Reader's Digest magazine since August as it requires updating the RD app. So when i try to download the RD app a pop up appears and reads " the item you tried to buy is no longer available". I don't have an answer for you but it may help to have a look at the "More Like This" section at the far right of this page. Reading those additional threads may get you some idea of the actual issue and how to resolve it. It could be that problems were found with the app and it was temporarily pulled for some reason which may be the reason for the "the item you tried to buy is no longer available" message.

Hi there, I am using a Macbook pro with Leopard with the newest version of iTunes. Many, many times when I have tried to purchase the newest episode of LOST, I click 'purchase' and type in my information and click 'yes', and for an instant it says 'purchasing' and shows the striped purchasing par across the top for only an instant, and then that disappears and an error message comes up, saying
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available.
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store.
The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere
on the store."
In past weeks, I have been eventually able to purchase the episode, after trying to purchase and receiving the same error literally hundreds of times. Why do I try hundreds of times? Because I want to see LOST! And I will have to face the wrath of my disappointed housemates if I fail to present the episode in time. But this is very, very, very, very frustrating! Please help, iTunes! Or anyone, any help will be greatly appreciated. But this glitch has been going on literally for weeks/months! I expected it to be ironed out and fixed completely by now, but it is not at all, it is just as bad as it was when I first noticed it shortly after the beginning of LOST season 4, a few months ago.
Also, when I try to email iTunes, I am sure that I can email iTunes if I finally pick a subject that does not apply, but I do not want to do that.
It is also very, very, very frustrating, whenever trying to email iTunes, to be forced into picking a subject from a very, very limited menu. Many questions, such as this question, do not fit at all into any of the choices presented, from which a person is forced to choose a subject, before being allowed to type an email to iTunes.

I had the same issue this morning downloading a pre-order of Alanis, Flavors of Entanglement . I noticed that the only thing that had changed fro me was that I had some song credits for purchasing ticketmaster tickets over the past few weeks. When I went ahead and spent my remaining credits... it downloaded with no prompting or trouble. Maybe the credits issues hangs it up?

One of my apps won't update. A message comes up saying "The item you tried to buy is no longer available", but when I open the app, it works.

I looked at my iphone 4 and I had two apps that needed to be updated. I pressed "Update All", but only one of them updated. The other, which is the HauteLook app, didn't, and has the little red 1 on my app store application. When I open the app store, it says it needs to be updated. When I press update or update all, the little bar shows up, then a message comes up saying "The item you tried to buy is no longer avaliable". I pressed ok, and it still says it has to be updated. I have opened the app and used it, so it's not broken. I have turned off my phone and turned it back on, and the notification that I need to update it is still there. I have tried restarting my phone, and it's still there. I have also tried plugging my phone into my computer to see if the update shows up iTunes, but it doesn't. I have had my phone for almost 2 years and this has never happened to me before. I did just recently get the IOS 6 update, but since having it, I have had to update apps and never got this message until now. If anyone has any idea how to fix this I would really appericate the help!

I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

I had a game application on my Iphone 4s called Punch Quest which started freezing and closing on me upon starting up the app.
So, this morning i tried uninstalling the application and reinstalling it. Once deleted, I got on the app store to redownload it and was greeted with the message "the item you tried to buy is no longer available"...but I know it is still available since I can download it from my girlfriend's Iphone 4S.
I have deleted the app without deleting the Game Center Data. (Since I'm planning on reinstalling it)
I have tried to download it from my PC's itunes. it generates the same kind of message "The item is temporarily unavailable".
Is it an issue on my side or on apple's side? At one point, since it doesn't work from both my PC and my phone, I thought it would be related to my itunes account.

ah maybe I can see it because I had already downloaded it in the past.
but still, I could download it and search it from my girlfriend's phone...perhaps it got pulled some time after. oh well

I have been trying to sort this out with Apple tech support (TrackID: 11905780) but most of the "solutions" clearly reveal that the tech support person has not read my request so I thought I would try here. I have bought "G-Map US & Canada" quite a while ago and have downloaded it several times as it was updated or I had just deleted it because I didn't need it at the time. Currently anyone can navigate to the app and purchase it for $50. But when I click on the app with the account that I originally downloaded it with I get the message "The item you tried to buy is no longer available." It seems clear to me that this message is invalid as the app is clearly still available on the store. I have also had a rental that expired before I finished downloading it that constantly downloads but will never finish because it always shows that I don't have the right to play the video (I started watching it and decided I didn't like it and stopped the download and deleted it). Anyone else having this problem? Seems like something Apple tech support should be able to fix but, alas, they have not been helpful, yet.

I've noticed the same thing with no word from Apple about why this is occurring. Maybe it is coincidental, but this problem began when I downloaded Quicktime 7.1. In fact, I've noticed several quirky things since that download. For instance, most of the movies in the Disney section have been eliminated. What gives?

The item may have been removed either permanently or temporarily between now and when you last downloaded it. There may be an problem with the App Store or your connection to it. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? Try waiting a couple of hours and trying again.

All music I ever purchased in iTunes is showing up as no longer available and is impossible to download. Thing is I can still find every single one of those albums when searching for them in iTunes Store. All of them is showing up with a price tag button next to them.
Is this how iTunes Store work? The albums get removed from my account after a year or so and if I suffer a complete hard drive failure I have to purchase everything again? Sounds like a rather crap deal if that is the case...

Also very long delay typing each keystroke in this message.

That error message is usually indicative of a problem with the App Store. If you look through the forums, you'll see that a number of people are experiencing the problem. Try again tomorrow.

This is not uncommon. Not all apps are available in all stores, just as not all OSx apps are available in IOS. The reasons are many, commercial, legal, copyright, whatever but it won't change your position. If it says not available, then that is the situation.
