But as a sidenote, the Database access would really be no different from any standard JDBC calls to connect to and query the database.

We restored the Sybase database, but we have problems to access the database from Collection Manager and we can't obtain reports from SCE 2020.

we have problems with our reports in Collection Manager again. We reboot the CM, but the problems continue.

Primavera Expedition 8.5 standalone with Sybase database on windows 32 bits. We need to upgrade existing expedition to Oracle contract manager 13.1.
We are unable to upgrade Sybase database version from 8.5 to 10.0 before migration to oracle database. Please share the path and details of convert.exe we are unable to find in the oracle contract manager 13.1 binaries files.

Software compatibility About ORACLE BC and ADF 11g with Sybase Database
I am using jdeveloper 11g xxx.0.2, and our company is using Sybase 12.x ASE. Our team chose Jdeveloper 11g and BC with ADF as our architecture. But during about 2 months, we found the bug (just with sybase db server) becomes more and more, strange, the dialect which we can choose does not have sybase (the have Oracle,Sql Server,DB2,SQL92 and others), we now have the only one way -- to choose SQL 92. But many bugs or other problem comes out, sometimes we event have to write lots of codes to realise a very very simple function. is that all because there's no sybase dialect or i guess the sqlbuilder for sybase database? Someone can explain why? or can help me go through the trouble? We need your help!!!!!!

I have override the sql generate method and the lov bug was fixed( The bug is IT recognize int var as a string var, and uses like instead of =), but we still can't fix view criteria, the default declarative view criteria can not run most time. And i don't know why. can adf support team to do a enhancement for sybase? Thanks a lot

JDBC query with Sybase database
Hi Folks,
I am working with Oracle 9i Reports Builder connecting to Sybase database using jdbc-odbc driver type.
I could connect to the database, use a simple query and generate reports.
Problem is only when, I use a variable in WHERE clause and have
1. group functions in SELECT statements (i.e. sum(), count()..)
2. NOT IN operations in one of conditions
Error message was thrown saying "Incorrect Syntax near ':.' "
(I declare a variable in USER PARAMETER and use the same in WHERE clause by refering say "where trandate=:m_trandate".)
Though there is no syntax error AT ALL. Am very sure about it, because when I execute the same statement in "isql" , it works perfectly.
Can anyone, let me know whether Is it a limitation on Report Builder with Sybase db or Is any configuration do I miss??
Also, let me know if there is any work around process to handle this situation.
Sample Query I tried :
select item, avg(rate) from inventory
where item=:mitem /* mitem is a variable */
group by item
Any information is welcome.

I too, got through the issue. Sorry am bit late in updating you. But still I would say it is not on consistent(my feedback as per I grabbed from the behavior. Say, I accepted the query in a particular order of WHERE clause, then If I change the order it will throw an error message saying "Incorrect syntax".)

Yes, JDBCPDS accepts all Select queries which follows SQL Specification.
It would be a valid query as per the database used.
Please try again, Bind parameters can be placed in any or all of the conditions of SQL Query in JDBCPDS.
I am able to use them in both the cases you told.

i'll tell my requirment -i need to check whether the email id in the UI matches with the email id in the db,if the email id exists,i need to find its eid(eid is t priamary key,auto_increment),i've set my email id to be unique key...
so if the email id matches with the email id in the db,i should get the eid,other wise ,need to insert the email id in the user_table...pl help me with the code.i'm working using exadel and java...need t code 2 do this in java
pl..plThe user comes to the UI and enters the email address and he hits on submit button .... (if i am right)
it is a simple task of passing the value from jsp to action class and do those operation.

JSP Pagination with JDBC Database result
I would like to have pagination for my JSP app. Has anyone ever done it using JDBC? What if the result is huge
Just wondering if I get a result of 40,000 and the page would take a long time to load just to show the first few results. Should I store it in a collection and pass it on to the next page? ThanksWe get the entire record list from the database and store it in the session. Then, use index counters to track which portion of the list to display.
It would be cool if we could just get selected portions out of the database, but then that might mean several database.
However, our design method makes it easy to sort the list by any column at any time. -

1. Datafiles & log files assignment while installation According to the HW partition size for production servers we have assigned 3 data files of 250 gb each in different drives on a server
The existing export we are trying to take is from development system where we have upgraded the stack and compo.nents to latest level so we are planning to take the export copy of for database instance and
the database itself is Syabse Ase 15.7.And at this phase screen according to the screen by default the system ask to assign 102 gb for datafiles and log files 1gb Minimum , so in that case can we no t
assign more log file size .However we have not started the installation and we will expereince the same as we have done on Develeopment and quality system which is central sap system and we need to confirm we if can do for production HA system installation
Yes, you may assign more space in advance to datafiles and log file. What the screen shows is the minimum required space to successfully complete the import.
2.On the other hand , If we are doing fresh HA installation ,it will ask for 90 GB datafile and 10 G by default to assign and in this how we going to assign and split in 3 different drives which is of 150 GB
each.
Your Development system has been patched to latest level. Hence there is change in database size in development as compared to fresh HA setup where no patches have been applied. You may add 3 datafiles in each of these drives and assign the size which you prefer. Ensure its more than 10GB.
3.Getting confused in assigning the CI DI ,ERS ,ASCS on node 1 and node 2.
You may follow this simple approach
Node 1: DB + ERS + CI
Node 2: ASCS + DI
4.Is it good decision to do fresh HA installation on production server and lateron upgrade the stack level or does it matter if do system copy as it will save the time .
There is no issue in going with system copy approach as it will save time. If you are not comfortable with system copy method and do not have good command on DB, I shall suggest you to go with fresh installation and then apply patches. This way you are sure there is no junk coming to your production . In system copy , In case your source system has some junk data, the same might get transferred to production.

i've been trying to look for codes on how to access the Access 2007 database (.accdb).
i've done a previous JSP app with Access database, but it is of a lower version (.mdb).
i need something like the following, but for the 2007 version. is it just a matter of changing the extension for both statements, or is there more to it?

Unable to connect to Sybase databases in EPM V11
Hello,
I have installed EPM 11 on a linux rel 5 x64 machine and able to connect to Oracle dbs but having problems with sybase databases. Checked the odbc.ini that it is pointing to the right files. I have tried to start, stop and restart the Data access service, defined using ODBC and Sybase System but nothing seems to help.
I get the folling error in html and the 2018 error in the IR web client.
An Interactive Reporting Service error has occurred.-Failed to acquire requested service.
Error Code: 2001
The Oracle db connections seemed to be fine. Sybase connections using isql are fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ShrinathI had that problem for almost a year, both with a Linksys router and with a Netgear router. Finally purchased a Belkin router (the N1 Vision, which we absolutely love!) and have not had the problem one single time since - in over 3 months. I did a lot of reading on the Linksys and Netgear forums and found that a lot of people were having the same problem. I have a new problem though, about 2 months ago my TouchSmart began to tell me I don't have a wireless network adapter installed - I typically have to reboot it anywhere from 7-13 times before it will recognize it. Any ideas or similar problems with that situation?

I´m using ODQ/ODP with Sybase database (ODBC). I created ODBC datasource in my SO (WinXP), created sybase Loader Connection in Metabase Manager. In ODQ User Interface, I select Create Entity, select the sybase connection, set user and pass, but in list of entities to select don´t show nothing, only appers a message "Enter a valid filter".
Some idea?
